He Makes Our Hope Grow

The Spirit Of The Lord

12. He Makes Our Hope grow

May God, the source of hope, fill you with all joy and peace by means of your faith in him, so that your hope will continue to grow by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

The Holy Spirit is the only one that can renew our minds and make us grow our hope. God is the only source of hope and it is only by the power of the Holy Spirit that our hope can grow. He is also the power that enables our faith and love to grow.

A lot of people unfortunately rely on themselves for their hope, faith and love to grow but that is pride. Faith, hope and love come through God’s grace and God gives grace to the humble but resists the proud. The proud are people who lack self awareness as a result of spiritual blindness. They have been deceived and programmed to rely on themselves and ignore God and His grace.

We get no credit for having faith, hope and love because they are given and sustained by the power of the Holy Spirit.

If you want to be filled with hope, you must meditate on the scriptures, pray and depend on God who is the source of hope to help you and fill you. He must takeover and we must reduce. When the Holy Spirit controls our minds, we will be empowered to think His thoughts and have the mind of Christ.

May the God of hope enable our hope grow to maturity and also transform our image from glory to glory.

He Makes Us Remember

The Spirit Of The Lord

8. He Makes Us Remember

The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you. John 14:26

The Holy Spirit makes us remember the word of God. The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to forget the word of God. Is it possible for a human being to forget food or water? Is it wise to forget that thing that keeps you alive? When we forget the word of God, we fall into mistakes and sins. We also loose faith, love, and hope. It is the word of God that builds us up and makes us whole.

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

We Have To Keep Looking

If we keep looking into the perfect law – the word of God, He will help us retain and not forget the word. However, we need to keep looking so that He can help us. If we never read our Bibles, it becomes harder to retain and easier to forget the word of God

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it–not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it–they will be blessed in what they do. James 1:25

It is the Holy Spirit that plants those thoughts in our minds that tell us to pick up the Bible and read. The Holy Spirit has spoken so many scriptures to me in times that I needed comfort and encouragement. I will mention two scriptures from the many scriptures that He has spoken to me.

Some years back, I was in an Air plane, and we had a long one hour queue and traffic waiting to take off from LaGuardia to Atlanta. I was drifting in and out of sleep, terribly bored by the long queue, as planes were taking off every one and half minute. As we patiently waited for our turn to take off, the Holy Spirit said to me, ‘He who started a good work in you will complete it.’ He also said some other time, ‘I will never leave you or forsake you.’

He quotes and refreshes relevant and right scriptures into our minds for maximum impact according to our situation and circumstance. If you are always sad, He will tell you to be grateful and rejoice in the Lord always. If your are always restless and busy without time for Him, He will tell you to be still and know that He is God.

Anytime a holy inspiration or thought enters our mind, it is by grace. We need to respond to those holy nudges and not ignore His voice. If we ignore those promptings that we have that encourage us to fellowship with the Holy Spirit and read the Bible, after a while, our hearts will deaden and harden up and we won’t hear Him often or we might even stop hearing Him. Not because He is not talking but because we have hardened and deadened our hearts. But He never leaves us or forsakes us.

After a while, He comes back to remind us of His word again. He keeps working in us and never gives up on His beloved children. He can also use judgement to make us reverse from dead paths to hear His voice. He will quote scriptures into our hearts and remind us of things He told us in the past.

Praise God, we have a faithful helper who reminds us of God’s words.

The Lion And The Lamb

Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. (Romans 11:22 ESV)

God’s kindness and severity. Some translations say kindness and sternness. A lot of people know that God is kind but they do not understand His sternness. We are advised to continue in His kindness. This means that we can actually discontinue in His kindness and reverse to begin walking in God’s sternness.

To really know someone and love someone you must appreciate everything about that person. I have always prayed for God’s kindness and tender-mercy to come upon me even as I remain unshaken that I have received His mercy as a redeemed Child. I am also aware of His sternness and judgement.

To know God as a kind and stern God is to know Him as the Lion and Lamb, deliverer and judge. I know a lot of people prefer unbalanced teachings that only talk about the kindness of God but pretend that we can’t offend God and attribute everything to the devil. It is man that is the problem not the devil.

We are the ones who have free wills and we are the ones who grieve God and sin. The devil remains constant and changeless in evil and God remains constant and changeless in good. But man is the one that has variations and varies or changes. Every time we change in the wrong direction towards evil, we mess up the world and create imbalance.

Additionally, we attract judgement. This judgement is the sternness of God. Every change is from man who is not constant and causes changes in the spiritual world and we feel those changes on earth as both negative and positive. We activate the changes, we are the cause. We attract curses or judgement by our actions and inactions. If every man on earth was constant in goodness and love, there will no sin, evil and judgement on this earth.

That is why Paul is telling us about the kindness and sternness of God. He is telling us so that we lean towards His kindness and refuse to provoke His sternness. Just as earthly fathers can be stern to their silly wayward children, God can be stern to His silly children and His haters. Yes, there are some people who hate God, it is sad but true.

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents. Romans 1:20

You are no more intelligent than the others,” Jesus said to them. “Don’t you understand? Nothing that goes into you from the outside can really make you unclean. Mark 7:18

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,

But fools despise wisdom and instruction (Proverbs 1:7 NKJV)

Anytime we fall short in understanding the word of God, we exhibit some level of spiritual silliness. When we refuse to fear God, that is a confirmation of silliness. Jesus was full of wisdom, understanding and truth and He demonstrated His wisdom by constantly having the fear of the Lord. It is the fear of the Lord that reminds us of the sternness of God even as we cling to His kindness in great love and appreciation.

Therefore, we must appreciate who God is and constantly seek to please Him.

Points to note.

1. God is always good and never bad

2. The devil is always bad and never good

3. Man is sometimes good and sometimes bad

4. The devil has no freewill

5, Man has a freewill

6. Man is the cause of evil when he partners with the devil. The devil needs mans cooperation.

7. God is always blameless in judgement

8. God disciplines his children

9. God permits tests and trials

10. God cannot temp anyone to commit sin

11. Temptation comes from the human nature and the devil is the tempter

because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” Hebrews 12:6

because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Proverbs 3:12

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent (Revelation 3:19 NKJV)

I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. Isiah 45:7

Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. (Revelation 2:22 NKJV)

I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. (Revelation 2:23 NKJV)

Did You Not Hear?

 The Spirit Of The Lord

8. He Makes Our Garments White

The Holy Spirit is the one who cleanses our garments and makes them white. He said, “buy from me white garments to hide your shameful nakedness,” and He also said, “if you have ears hear what the Spirit says.” We are to buy that garment from the Holy Spirit by letting go of the flesh with its thoughts and desires and accepting and embracing the thoughts of the Holy Spirit which is ‘ the word of God.’ We must embrace Jesus, the word of God.

He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. Revelation 19:3

I had this vision a long time ago when I was still behind in my journey to the mountaintop of grace, faith, love and maturity in Christ. We were many students in a hostel all busy with different activities. I was on my bed in the hostel when all of a sudden, a group of men with a leader came to take me away by force.

I immediately knew they were taking me to a place of torture so I began pleading, “ please don’t torture me, please don’t take me away.” The head of the group who had a stern face and was not good looking then said to me, “ Did you not hear that you are supposed to be putting on your white garment?” I shook my head in amazement. “No I did not hear, please I will put on my white garment, don’t torture me.” Then he gave me a very ugly look.

He looked at me from my feet to my head and from my head to my feet with a nasty sneer. Then he said, “look at you, you and your stomach problem.” Then I exclaimed in shock and disbelief, wondering how he knew about my stomach problem, “how did you know I have a stomach problem!” and he replied, “I know, I know, Satan has been dealing with you.” Then he left me and I came out of the vision.

Everyone in that hostel were students of the word of God, who were not putting on their white garments. They were living in disobedience and were facing all sorts of trials until they repent and put on their white garments. The white garment is for purity and the word of God is pure seven times refined. If we judge ourselves and purify ourselves with the word of God, there won’t be any need to pass us through the fire of tests and trials.

The purpose of the fire of tests and trials is purity which means putting on the word of God or the white garment. If we are purified in the word of God, the purpose of purity is achieved in us and the cleansing fire will no longer hurt us but it will baptise us.

I am sure the meaning of this vision is clear but so many truths are embedded in it. They are:

1, We must put on our white garments – the word of a God

2. I opened the door to torture by not putting on my white garment – the word of God

3. We are all students of the word of God

4. God is sovereign over Satan. Even though Satan was dealing with me, God permitted it. The root cause of my torture was spiritual deafness, stubbornness and inability to put on the word of God.

5. When I showed willingness to put on the white garment or the word of God, the tormentors left me.

6. Demons or tormentors believe in God and the word of God. Do not be deceived, it is man that does not believe in God, the word of God and defies the word of God. Man also sometimes partially believes the word of God. Do you believe that there is only one God? Good! The demons also believe—and tremble with fear.James 2:19, And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him (Matthew 18:34 NKJV)

7. God is not satisfied with partial acceptance of His word. All those students of the word of God were believers but partial believers of the word of God. They had not embraced the whole counsel of the word of God. They did not have thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God. Acts 20:27

8. Did you not hear? Where was I supposed to hear this command or announcement of putting on the white garment from? The answer is my Bible. I must read my Bible, pay close attention to the instructions and follow those instructions.

At that time a Jew named Apollos, who had been born in Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent speaker and had a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. Acts 18:24

Ezra was a scholar with a thorough knowledge of the Law which the Lord, the God of Israel, had given to Moses. Because Ezra had the blessing of the Lord his God, the emperor gave him everything he asked for. In the seventh year of the reign of Artaxerxes, Ezra set out from Babylonia for Jerusalem with a group of Israelites which included priests, Levites, Temple musicians, Temple guards, and workers. Ezra 7:6-7

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psalm 12:6

“I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. (Revelation 3:18 NKJV)

You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. (Revelation 3:4 NKJV)

“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. (Revelation 3:5 NKJV)

We are supposed to constantly put on our white garments, failure to do that will result in judgement because judgement begins in the house of God. God does not joke with faith, love, cleanness and purity.

It is so vital and imperative to put on our white garments. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can make our garments clean by constantly leading us, reminding us of the word of God and planting His words in our hearts. After cleansing our thoughts and actions, He decorates us with white garments.

Power Through His Spirit

The Spirit Of The Lord

6. Power Through His Spirit

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, (Ephesians 3:16 NKJV)

That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, (Ephesians 3:17 NKJV)

I pray that he would give you, according to his glorious riches, strength in your inner being and power through his Spirit. Ephesians 3:16

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen (Ephesians 3:20 – 3:21 NKJV)

Might or power in the inner man means that Christ is dwelling in us. This means knowing and experiencing the love of Christ. Christ is the power and wisdom of God. He can live in you with a lot of glory and He can live in you with scanty or no glory. He is there but you won’t feel or experience His glory just like when the glory left Israel. Do you remember Ichabod ?- the glory has departed or no glory.

God is everywhere but His glory is not everywhere. His glory dwells in heaven and visits earth. However, He is in Hell as the omnipresent God in all of creation, but His glory is completely absent in Hell. Wrath or punishment is what lives in hell and these are caused by the human nature and disobedience not God.

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. Psalm 139:8

The power of Christ resting upon the spirit of man is the love of Christ. It is possible for us to be Christians yet Christ is not dwelling in the inner man. Rather, weakness, infirmity and decay dwells in the inner man. Paul said this prayer because he recognised the need to pray for us to be strengthened with might or power in the inner man. God is able to do this in Jesus name.

Christ already lives in us. This is talking about Christ as the power and glory of God. It is talking about His manifest presence dwelling in us. Christ’s Spirit lives in every believer but the glory in every believer varies. The Bible says we are being transformed from glory to glory. This means that the glory or manifest presence of Christ in us must keep increasing, till we are filled up, and surrounded by His very essence, beauty and glory.

Christ dwelling in us through faith means unwavering belief in the blood of Jesus that set us free, praying with expectation and not wavering or doubting. It means constant praise, worship, thanksgiving and rejoicing. We do all these with persistence and perseverance without turning back or giving up.

These are all acts of faith. Faith is a multidimensional concept with many variables. As long as we embrace and practice the variables of faith persistently with love, worship, thanksgiving, praise and expectation God will not fail us. He is a faithful God – if we draw near to Him in faith, He will draw near to us.

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 1 Corinthians 3:16

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 3:20

And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. 11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Romans 8:10-11

The Scripture topic at the beginning of this post is also talking about the attributes of God. Christ can live in us yet we have not yet crucified the flesh and the Holy Spirit is not controlling our lives. Christ refers to the power, word, wisdom, glory, and grace of God. The more grace of God we have, the more understanding of the Scriptures which builds faith.

The more grace we have, the more we are able to practice the word of God, are led by the Spirit and follow God’s plan for our lives. The more grace we have, the more we are generally able to please God. These will ensure the manifest presence of God resting on us and going with us everywhere. Meaning that Christ now dwells in us and walks with us.

Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. Exodus 33:15

Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so. Hebrews 13:9

Power resides in the grace of God and every good thing comes by the grace and ability of God. Man’s power is useless. The more we seek God and rely on His grace, the more successful we will be in our Christian lives. We cannot even have faith or practice the word of God without His grace so we must never forget the grace of God even as we seek Him and meditate on the Scriptures to build faith.

Only God and God alone can make us mature Christians. He alone can guarantee power in the inner man through His Spirit. He alone will enable Christ to dwell in us even as we wait upon Him and continue to seek His face daily.

A Pure Virgin

I am jealous for you, just as God is; you are like a pure virgin whom I have promised in marriage to one man only, Christ himself. 3 I am afraid that your minds will be corrupted and that you will abandon your full and pure devotion to Christ—in the same way that Eve was deceived by the snake’s clever lies. 4 For you gladly tolerate anyone who comes to you and preaches a different Jesus, not the one we preached; and you accept a spirit and a gospel completely different from the Spirit and the gospel you received from us! (2 Corinthians 11:2-4)

A different Jesus is any message, gospel and way of salvation which contradicts the goods news as preached by Jesus and the apostles.

Pure devotion to Christ

We notice that Paul talks about pure devotion to Christ and proceeds to lament over false doctrines and gospels. The objective of every false gospel or way of salvation is to lure us away from pure devotion to Christ. Pure devotion to Christ means pure devotion to His word.

We are promised in marriage to the word of God alone and our purity proceeds from Him alone. We are to cherish this purity and virginity so much that we desire the word of God alone in humility and love.

By the time we have spent quality time loving and practising the word of God with praise, prayer, worship and thanksgiving, the presence of the word of God with fill us up and surround us. He will beautify us and crown us with love, peace and joy.

May we always love and cherish our purity and virginity in Christ. May our devotion be to the word of God alone as we reject lies and false doctrines.

House On The Rock

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: “and the rain descended “and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” (Matthew 7:24- 7:27 NKJV)

In this Scripture, Jesus is stressing the importance of building our lives on the word of God. So it is all about hearing the word of God and doing it. It is very possible to hear the word of God everyday and refuse to do it.

It is very possible to be in Church everyday like the pews and chairs in church and refuse to change. Inanimate objects remain constant just as stone hearts remain constant. Only the power of God can break and change stone hearts – that is, if we are willing and cry out for grace.

Nobody can force anyone to practice the word of God and God does not force us. We have to decide that we love God enough to desire, treasure and practice His word.

The Bible describes us as being slaves of righteousness. This means that even though we have a free will to obey or disobey, we must obey. It is just like having a free will to eat poison, yet most rational beings will not take poison so as to preserve their lives and keep living.

Righteousness is not a choice but a mandate and a commandment – we have a choice but we really have no choice but to obey because disobedience is judgement and death.

not by way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart. Ephesians 6:6

You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. Romans 6:18

No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Matthew 6:24

Sin is spiritual poison – we are free to eat spiritual poison but spiritual wisdom will warn you not to try it because sin when it is full blown leads to death. It kills and is a killer.

The root cause of judgement or death is sin. God who is the author of life does not cause death and Satan does not cause death because he has to take permission from God before he can test us, tempt us or afflict us. He took permission from God to test Peter. Death comes from the sinful nature of man – period.

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat. Luke 22:31

If God is testing us it means that there is an unfinished work in us. The purpose of testing is to purify our faith so if we determine to be purified and not give up on our journey to spiritual maturity, we will get to a state that is acceptable to God. We will never be perfect like God is but if we are mature and acceptable in our ways before God, God will regard us as perfect.

Remember God called Job blameless – it means that Job was acceptable to God in his ways. God boasted with Job and the Bible also boasted about Elijah being a man with passions like ours yet he stopped rain for three and half years. These men were exceptional.

When we disregard the word of God, a fall or many falls await us because our lives are built on chaff instead of the rock. In that state, a wind or wave can knock us down and leave us spiritually breathless. We become wells without water and trees without leaves. We become dry and empty.

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

The word of God is bread and water to our soul. May God give us the wisdom to desire and practice the word of God so that our souls will grow and be saved. May the word of God dwell richly in us.

And The Blame Game Continues

Adam blamed Eve,

Eve blamed the devil

The devil was not asked any question

And he was not even interrogated

Why?

Because He has no free will

He was created evil,

Loves evil and lies,

Delights in evil,

And is the father of lies.

He knows himself,

And he can’t be bothered,

Because his destiny in hell is guaranteed

And he knows that his will is fixed in evil.

How about man?

Does man not have a free will?

Does man not enjoy the rewards or pleasures of sin?

Is it the devil that gets the gain, pleasure and happiness

On earth or is it the person who sins?

The truth is that sin has pleasures

Attached to it.

To resist sin is to resist the benefit

Or the pleasure attached to sin.

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy

the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater

riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward. (Hebrews 11:25-26 NKJV)

The devil does not benefit from gossip,

He does not benefit from idol worship,

He does not benefit from robbery,

He does not benefit from bullying,

He only tempts man and men fall.

The devil has already fallen

And is a fallen being,

But man can choose if he stands

Or falls.

So why shift all the blame to him?

Makes no sense.

Except we can describe his clothing

The day that he came and forced us to sin.

I am of the opinion that if a woman or man cheats

On their spouse, they must not play victim

And blame their partner in crime.

Some even blame their spouse for cheating.

Cheaters should

Accept that they cooperated and ultimately

Chose to cheat.

I hope it makes sense.

Adam and Eve precious beloved of God

blamed God, their spouse and the devil – the partner

in crime but never looked inwards or blamed themselves

or admitted their guilt.

Only acknowledge your guilt– you have rebelled against the LORD your God, you have scattered your favours to foreign gods under every spreading tree, and have not obeyed me,'” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 3:13

He – the devil or death might have been glorified.

But can death have pleasure or life? No.

So he did not benefit because he can never have joy or life.

He is dead and nothing can change that.

Even if he drags everybody to hell, he is still

Dead.

The only power he has is the power of deception

And through deception he makes man sin.

He is filled with misery and will want as many people

To roast with him

At the second death.

Man is blessed to have a free will which is superior to no free will

Our focus must be on us, grace and God and not the devil since

He is changeless and fixed in evil and temptation.

When Eve was given her own temptation

She saw that the fruit was good,

So she imagined or perceived good, pleasure

And benefit in disobedience.

We have been commanded to resist sin and the devil

So we must not play smart with God

By denying any form of responsibility

By blaming the devil.

Adam blamed Eve and Eve blamed the devil,

However, they Got their judgement

And the serpent got its judgement.

Yes,

The devil tempts us

But we ultimately have to yield

And cooperate to have his baby

Or the fruit of sin.

Our focus should not be on the devil

Or if he made us do it or not

Our focus should be on the grace

Of God, the blood of Jesus,

And our ability to resist sin.

We must loose sin consciousness,

And accept grace consciousness.

God Himself was aware that He threw the devil

To the earth.

The devil has a job to do on earth

And that job is to tempt man,

Test man,

Persecute man,

Accuse man,

Oppose man,

Irritate and annoy man

And carry out God’s judgement on man – He is the prison guard.

The devil even tested righteous and blameless Job

And Job did not fall.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love Him[b]because He first loved us. 1 John 4:18

And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Acts 1:15

Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. 26 Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny. Matthew 5:25

Perfect love for the word of God and submission to Him casts out every fear. It gives us boldness as the demons will know us and respect us the way they knew Jesus and Paul.

Does the devil pass judgement? No.

Is He the judge?

God is the only lawgiver and judge.

The demons even believe in God and fear God

Yet, man does not fear God.

They seam to know what man does not know – That death gets its power

To hurt from sin and sin gets its power from the law. Christ has a law that must

be obeyed.

There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another? (James 4:12 NKJV)

You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe – and tremble! (James 2:19 NKJV)

But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Luke 12:5

In the same way, when working with Gentiles, I live like a Gentile, outside the Jewish Law, in order to win Gentiles. This does not mean that I don’t obey God’s law; I am really under Christ’s law. 1 Corinthians 9:21

Absolute fear of God and his law means no fear of the devil.

Fear of the devil means no fear of God and his law.

So we have to choose whom to fear and respect – God or the devil.

The one who fears the devil fears judgement or punishment

But Jesus and His blood is the cure

For sin, judgement and fear.

Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2: 14

May we exalt Christ

And obey His law and good news.

May we pray for extraordinary grace

To live in the fear of the Lord like Jesus did.

May our fear of the Lord not be fear of punishment

But reverential and holy respect for Him

And the laws of life.

Prior to the vision

I saw myself as one of the

Best lovers of God

Believing that my love for God

Was somehow almost unparalleled and unmatched

In its fervor and intensity.

I loved God quite alright

But the God I loved

Was my false idea of God,

And I did not know that.

I wallowed in deception

And delusion

Until I had this vision.

I was lying down

On my bed,

When I was suddenly transported

Into the Kingdom of God.

I was in a very large congregation

And the crowd was limitless.

A mighty Angel made

This announcement,

” All bow down and worship

The King of Kings

And Lord of Lords.”

Immediately he said this,

Every being in that congregation

Fell on their knees, bowed and worshipped,

Except me.

So sad – I was the only one

Who was standing.

I was not only standing,

I had my head turned away and tilted to a funny proud angle

With an ugly snear plastered all over my face.

I was looking at everyone with scorn

And wondering what they were doing.

I was perplexed and confused

Not understanding why they were

All bowing, kneeling and worshipping

Before Christ – I was so confused.

Then I found my self on my bed and

He said to me,

‘Don’t despise me, don’t despise me, worship me.”

I was greatly dumbfounded and shocked,

Wow!

I was so surprised at that revelation.

It was certainly a “rude awakening” and an unpleasant discovery.

However, it was the beginning of the renewal of my mind.

My false bubble burst, and

I realized then

That I did not really love Christ

But the Church I was born into

And it’s doctrines.

I honestly, honestly,

Thought I loved Christ

But the Lord Himself

Just showed me that

I despised Him.

He did not say, “don’t hate me.”

He said, “don’t despise me.”

I loved the doctrines

And the religion

But I was hostile and

Not submissive

To the word of God.

Sometime later

The Lord spoke to me and said,

“How can you love someone you don’t understand.”

I have always had the habit of telling Him

I love Him and how much I love Him

But He challenged that love

And led me to love Him the right way,

Through the word of God

And not through the doctrines of men.

To worship Him means

To exalt and love the word of God in humility,

Trust, faith and surrender.

He made me realize

That I could only love Him by understanding Him,

And the only way to understand Him

Is through His word.

He revealed to me that

To understand is to see someone spiritually

And to see someone spiritually is to love that person.

Love comes from spiritual sight and love and understanding

Go hand in hand.

In our relationship with Him,

We cannot love Him

Without spiritual sight or understanding

And this comes only

Through the word of God.

Can we really love Christ

And despise the word of God?

The truth is if you hate the word of God

You hate Christ.

Anti Christ means anti word of God.

The Christ that you think you love,

While vehemently rejecting the word of God,

Is a mirage, a fantasy and a delusion.

It is a false Christ, manufactured

And made up by the doctrines of men

To worship and glorify self, man

And mans depravity.

Any Christ that leads us to

Reject, contradict and despise the word of God,

Is an anti Christ.

I was wallowing deep in the mud,

With a false Christ,

However He woke me up

And led me to the real Christ,

Who is the word of God.

I definitely appreciate my “rude awakening.”

The Implanted Word

Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. (James 1:21 ESV)

The Bible says that the blood of Jesus saves and here we can see another kind of salvation by the word of God. This means that even though the blood of Jesus has saved us and still saves us, if we reject the word of God that points us towards dependence on the blood of Jesus, praise, thanksgiving, worship, prayer and obedience, our souls will die from lack of faith and nourishment.

The word of God is the water, food and meat that nourishes, builds up and strengthens the soul. Without the word of God, we are finished and faith will become impossible. What do we base faith on? The word of a God.

So it is vital to accept the precious word that saves and transforms the soul.
