Politeness Goes Hand In Hand With Wisdom

politeness goes hand in hand with wisdom. (1).png

Revelations And Messages 12

I was lying down on my bed some months ago, and the Lord spoke to me and said, “ politeness goes hand in hand with wisdom.”

Let us consider this word. Is there really any wisdom in being rude and evil with our tongues? The obvious answer is no, yet a lot of people I know go around, causing so much havoc and destruction with their tongues.

Whatever we desire in this life is what we will get, particularly in the area of grace and spiritual blessings – if we love and desire evil communication and unwholesome words, we will simply continue in it because, believe it or not, the person who engages in it, gets some perverse pleasure in it. Sometimes, it makes them feel superior to those they assault with their tongues and abuse, or it might just be a case of “I simply don’t care how others feel.” In either case, the flesh is being glorified.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

We need to starve and deny the flesh by making sure our words impart grace, love, encouragement and support to those we speak to. Our words need to build up, comfort, soothe, heal and refresh, not tear down, humiliate, belittle, ravage and torment others.

I have a friend who is not a believer. From the day I met him, some years ago, I have never heard him say any negative thing to me or about others. He was unbelievable in the area of using his tongue wisely. I took it for granted that, that is just his character and I would often tell my other friends that I have this friend who never ever says any bad, negative or evil words to me or about anyone else.

Then, very recently we were talking, and he said to me, “I will never ever use this my mouth to say anything to anyone that will hurt that person. How can I say something to someone, that after I have said it, the person will keep remembering it with pain, and the words will keep tormenting that person? What will I gain from that? I will never do that.” He said it with so much resolve, conviction, passion and determination.

My mind boggled and my eyes became wide with shock. I had a strange look on my face as I looked at him keenly, and digested this new information. That was when I realized that he had put on that character on purpose, and with perfect awareness – it did not fall on him very easily or casually. He craved it.

I had simply assumed that it was just him, but I never knew that not hurting people with his tongue was a practice, and a discipline that he had carefully thought through and resolved within himself never to do. He desired it and God gave him the grace even though he is not a believer.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6

Do you get what I am trying to say? There is power in hunger, desire, passion and will power and God oversees that hunger or desire in all of creation. Beloved, if an unbeliever could desire that level of tongue purity and God would give it to him, how then will God deny you that grace? You who has been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb with the Holy Spirit as your helper. That man desired the children’s food and he got it. Some requests are not vocalized in prayer – they are simply unspoken requests and desires.

Faith is not all about physical blessings. The best faith is the one that regards spiritual blessings. Sometimes, an unbeliever can exhibit faith in specific commands or instructions but because they do not believe in Jesus and His precious blood that saved us, they remain unbelievers. They do not believe in Christianity but they take parts of the teachings on morality and practice it.

Most religions do this. God gave this man a tamed and sanctified tongue in the area of politeness and not hurting people with the tongue. His tongue is not even saved because he has not confessed that Jesus alone is Lord.

He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

“Yes, it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” Then, Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment. Mark 15:26-28

This man got part of the children’s food or grace just like the woman whose daughter was sick. Will God deny you that grace? No. The bitter truth is that anyone who goes around being rude and causing havoc with his tongue does not care about sanctifying his tongue. He has no hunger, passion or desire for grace in that area and does not desire it either in the prayer closet or out of the prayer closet.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16

If we desire sanctified tongues and are humble enough to persistently ask for that grace, God will meet our needs. He gives grace to the humble and resists the proud. If we say that we are perfect and lack nothing without seeing a part of our nakedness, we will remain the same – partially or completely naked.

We will remain the same because we do not even see the need to change. We do not even know that we are partially or completely naked. That is just like spiritual insanity. In the physical, an insane man does not know or recognize his insanity. He is not aware because he is mentally unconscious. A lot of us are not spiritually aware. We are asleep.

This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14

May we truly hunger and thirst for righteousness including the sanctification of our tongues in Jesus name. May we be healed from every spiritual insanity and unconsciousness, lack of awareness and nakedness in Jesus name.

Full Assurance Of Understanding

(Colossians 2_2 NKJV)

That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ. (Colossians 2:2 NKJV)

Full assurance and understanding leads to full faith and full obedience. Understanding precedes wisdom and wisdom yields good fruits. Jesus is the wisdom of God and when He saturates your soul and mind, faith will become easy and obedience will be a delight. Jesus is the one that produces good works through us and His Holy Spirit is the Spirit of faith, hope, love, mercy, wisdom, revelation, power and grace.

Jesus is the word of God and it is through the word of God that He bears fruits in us by His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Word of God and the Word of God is spiritual.

The word of God is both the written word and the word spoken to us directly by the Holy Spirit. As we open up our hearts and accept the words or seeds planted in us by the Holy Spirit of Jesus, we grow and begin to bear fruits. The Holy Spirit of Jesus is the one that enables this fruit bearing by persistently working in us by His word until we bear fruits and they mature.

The Holy Spirit is the one that gives us full assurance of understanding and that understanding in turn will bear good fruits. A lot of people lean on their own understanding but the arm of flesh cannot help. Only the Holy Spirit our helper can help us bear fruits, by giving us full assurance of understanding of the word of God that He Himself authored through men.

Claiming To Be Wise

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things (Romans 1:21 – 1:23 ESV)

Only God can give wisdom and intelligence and it is wisdom to recognize this. Pride is what has caused man’s failure.

Man claims to be wise but when it comes to spirituality and God, they become foolish. Anytime man begins to get puffed up with pride to imagine that he is wiser and more intelligent than God, man gets more foolish.

Because man has refused to honor God and thank God, God has allowed man to wallow in the darkness of stupidity, lies and error.Only God can give wisdom and intelligence and it is wisdom to recognize this. Pride is what has caused man’s failure.

The same man that has claimed to be so wise ends up kneeling down to statues and images made to look like man and animals. This has nothing to do with academic excellence or social excellence. Peter was a fisherman but God blessed Him with the Holy Spirit and spiritual wisdom. People in the highest echelons of society are the biggest culprits in this foolishness of looking down on God.

They are the ones who teach their followers how to worship idols, practice witchcraft, belong to the occult and go around naked. People who call themselves celebrities dance around naked and ignorant people worship and adore them. How depraved and low can man go?

If you doubt me go to shrines and Catholic Churches and you will see grown up men and women kneeling down to statues and kissing them. Even the Pope does it. This shows that wisdom comes only from God and anyone who is not humble before God can be a victim to this foolishness.

The Bible says, claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.” Idol worship and rejecting the true God is foolishness and only God can save us from this foolishness. It is not by power or might but by the grace of God and we must pray to God to open blind eyes.

May God’s grace grant wisdom to those in darkness so that they will reject foolishness and error and embrace God and truth. May God also increase the light and truth in us and transform us from glory to glory until we behold His glory and are changed into His likeness.

Complaining Against God

nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. (1 Corinthians 10_10 NKJV (1).png

Nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. (1 Corinthians 10:10 NKJV)

The Bible reminds us and warns us against complaining against God. Complaining against God comes from in gratitude and lack of faith. Those who constantly complain against God and life have perfected the art of focusing on the negatives. Complaining against God comes from false thoughts and a darkened and negative mindset. It comes from absence of truth and light.

What you see is what you get. If you keep entertaining false thoughts about God, that kills your faith and paints a wrong picture about God. It paints a wicked and bad picture of God in the mind and that darkness eventually destroys. It is simply basic intelligence for man to know that His creator loves Him and cannot hate Him. But when man keeps thinking evil against God, they eventually reject God and become God haters.

They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents. Romans 1:30

What else can God do when man hates Him and pronounces the judgment of not worthy of worship, obedience, praise and thanksgiving against God. God will keep waiting for that man to change but if he refuses to change and dies in that state, he will be lost forever.

“Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. Matthew 25:24

For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:37

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. Titus 1:15

The lazy servant in the parable of the talents accused God of being a hard man that reaps where he did not sow. Typical. Lazy, irresponsible people always look for who to blame and many of them typically blame God for everything wrong in the world and never blame themselves for anything. They conspire with each other and with demons against God but that is an attempt at futility. Their conspiracies come to an end when they die and come face to face with God whom they regarded and treated like an enemy, who kept loving them and whom they kept hating.

If God haters can connive and see a way to dethrone God and overthrow Him they will. In their minds they have already overthrown Him and He is not their Lord or Ruler. They are ruled by death because the only god that exists outside God and life is death.

To the pure all things are pure and to the evil, good things are evil. Those who are impure and polluted can never discern between good and evil. Evil looks like good and good looks like evil. They are that way because their eyes or minds have been blinded and they are not capable of seeing or discerning clearly. It is a form of spiritual madness. When one looses his spiritual senses, everything will be upside down and their spiritual reasoning, judgement, intelligence or logic will be very poor or flawed. They are that way and they typically believe that God lovers and worshippers are not intelligent or have low I.Qs. Some Atheists have said that to me with so much pride and arrogance. However, I was meditating about my enemies and evil people some years ago and the Lord said to me, ‘they have low I.Q.’  After He said that to me I was no longer angry with my enemies but I prayed for them to have wisdom. They are simply weak and need grace and help.

Jesus said to them, “You are still no more intelligent than the others. Matthew 15:18

The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he was talking about. Luke 18:34

Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. Luke 24:31

Spiritual intelligence is different from physical intelligence. Someone can have all the intelligence and brilliance necessary to create and invent great things with high academic and social excellence yet be spiritually very unintelligent.

Eve was deceived into thinking that God did not want good for her and Adam. The Bible says that Eve was deceived. Adam was not deceived according to 1 Timothy 2:14. His wife simply seduced Him and love and protection took over. If he did not join his wife in her error, Eve would have died alone. Do you see why Jesus is the second Adam that died for the Church.

Adam failed but he had undying love for his deceived wife. He went along with Eve because of the love he had for her. Men were naturally created to be men who can die and fight for their wives. Unfortunately, a lot of men are too weak, timid and afraid to have undying, selfless, sacrificial, protective love for their wives.

Either way, Adam sided with Eve against God. We must never love our spouses or children more than God because God is our first love and sustains our lives. He loves us more than anyone else.

And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.1 Timothy 2:14

Immediately Eve lost faith in God and started doubting her creator, she became an accuser of God – accusing God of evil. That singular action, destroyed her mind and humanity became fixed in darkness and doubt. The sin that she committed was in believing that God did not want them to eat the fruit of knowledge of good and evil because he did not want them to be like Him. She believed that God did not want good for them and also lied to them.

That is the sin of unbelief or lack of faith. She did not trust God or have faith in her creator. God had already told them that they would die if they ate that fruit. It was for their own good and God was shielding and protecting them from evil. However they did not believe the word of God that said they would die. Satan convinced Eve that God was lying.

That is the general sin of humanity today. Humans believe that God’s word cannot be trusted and they have no faith in His good news of redemptions and His laws. They think that God does not want good for them and keep complaining against God. That is why the Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and humanity is naked and guilty before God.

We must all get back to the place of virginity, purity and innocence which is a place of complete faith, trust, love and hope in our creator. Because man lies, he thinks that God can lie but God cannot lie. In man’s impurity he thinks that God is like him and sees God through the lens of his weaknesses and impurity.

“For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:5

Eve wanted to be equal to God and thereby accused God of evil. However, Adam and Eve were already as good as they could be. God had blessed them and made them the best that they could be but she wanted more. Now, the whole of humanity is scrambling to get back to the way that Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden. She thought there was something better out there that God was keeping and hiding from them but there was none. The only other thing out there that God shielded them from was knowledge of evil. They already had knowledge of good. Eventually, they knew evil and regretted it.

Knowledge of evil is knowledge of how to exist outside the canopy, rulership and lordship and dominion of God. Knowledge of evil is knowledge of self dependence and faith in self. In this evil knowledge, there is no faith or trust in God and worship and obedience of God are scorned. However, knowledge of evil is death because there is nothing and no life outside God. Adam and Eve learned the hard way, may we not learn the hard way. After the first death, God rejecters and haters learn the hard way when they experience the second death and are cast into the lake of fire.

We must keep our minds pure and not be like Eve. We must stop complaining against God and realize that He is the good and perfect one and man is the one that is evil and tainted. Instead of complaining, we must practice thanksgiving, worship, praise, love, faith and trust. We must cling to God and ask for help with thanksgiving and faith instead of making it look like God is the cause of our problems by complaining against Him.

May God give us more insight into His perfect love and redemption so that we will always thank Him and magnify Him.

Jesus Defeated Powers And Gods

1Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. – Colossians 2_15.png

Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. – Colossians 2:15

Jesus Christ defeated principalities and powers and triumphed over them. He defeated them and gave them a resounding knockout. He is the one that has the key and power over death and the world of the dead.

To live in this reality is to know success and victory. This is the good news of our salvation and there is power in it. This good news will chase away fear and timidity and bring faith. There is power in the blood of Jesus to save those who have determined to have faith and confidence.

God is not waiting for you to be perfect and mature before He can heal and deliver you. Most of the people that Jesus and the apostles healed and delivered were not perfect. They were like you and me. They were believers running and marching towards the promised land and Christian maturity.

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. James 5:15

This Scripture above is nor referring to perfect people but sincere people who are striving and determined to please God and get to the mountain top of Christian maturity. If they have committed sins means that it might have been their sins that led to the sickness or it might not be their sins. However, if they have committed sins they will be healed and forgiven at the same time not wait for when they are perfect before they are healed. If the elders wait for when they are perfect for them to be healed, they could be dead and never be healed or get mature. They will not fulfill their destinies on earth.

So many have afflictions that they were born with and afflictions that came from sins from past lives as unbelievers or even afflictions from sins that they committed as Christians but they had renounced and forsaken those sins. That means that the blood of Jesus has cleansed them of those sins because the Bible says that when we confess our sins we are forgiven. All they need to do is stand on the word of God and wait upon the Lord with faith, worship, love, praise, thanksgiving, rejoicing, celebration, petitions and supplications.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. 2 Peter 1 :9

The truth is that a lot of people are not suffering because of sins that they personally committed. A lot are suffering as a result of ancestral and parental sins and some are suffering as a result of no sin at all by themselves, their ancestors and their parents just like the man that was born blind. They are just victims of evil religions and the evil systems of this world where some people are sacrificed for others by evils priests around the world to sustain the world.

The world is made up of priests, victims and beneficiaries. that is how the god of this world rules through various religions that have one thing in common – darkness and death. They receive life by sacrificing others and by death. Death the god of this world rules through death popularly known as sacrifice.. The unbelievers worship death. The Lord has taken me in visions and trances to show me their kingdoms and many celebrities belong there. Knowingly or unknowingly, they are operating from that kingdom. Their kingdoms appear to look beautiful but are rubbish compared to Heaven.

Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. Psalm 74:20

Our sins are forgiven and those kingdoms and powers have been defeated and are beneath Christ. We can be delivered because Jesus has already delivered us. If we are led by the Holy Spirit and seek the root cause of our problems, we will be very shocked at the discovery.

We are absolutely nothing without the Holy Spirit who is the source and giver of the word of God. We must depend on Him. We must seek Him to know the root cause of our problems and the solution to our problems and how to pray effectively to be delivered and healed. He does not use formula and he does not generalize. We are all unique individuals with different histories and pasts. Only Him can help us out.

Many years ago, I struggled with certain afflictions and I kept thinking:

  1. That it was my personal sin  that caused my afflictions
  2. That I had to be perfect in order to be delivered and restored

These were false thoughts originating from self. The Holy spirit destroyed all my false assumptions and false thoughts before I could be healed and delivered. They were all obstacles to my faith and restoration. He told me that it was not my sin that caused my afflictions and He also said to me, ‘all  you need is faith.’ He told me this several times and when I obeyed Him and started walking in faith with thanksgiving, praise and rejoicing, my afflictions became past tense.

I have always been someone who did not struggle to love others. I was not perfect, blameless or mature as a christian but I was trying my best to walk in love and had the desire to please God. However, I did not have faith and God rebuked me several times for it and taught me how to walk in faith expressing itself in celebration of Christ’s love, rejoicing in the Lord, gratitude, worship and persistence. Faith without thanksgiving, gratitude, worship, rejoicing in the Lord, praise and waiting upon the Lord is an error. Faith must express itself in actions. You know, understand, thank God and live it.

Walking in love is not an excuse to reject faith – that is imbalance and come from pride. We need faith as an act of humility because works alone did not save us and cannot save us. When I was not walking in faith the Lord told me I was proud.

When we reject the works of Jesus on the cross and His power and grace and refuse to hear  from the Holy Spirit, we are proud. Remember that other religions have good works but they reject faith and the good news that God forgave them and healed them by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

What is the difference between a believer that does not believe and rejects the good news and an unbeliever that does not believe and rejects the good news. We must be very careful. There are many unbelieving believers and we must not be counted among them. They claim to believe with their lips but their hearts reject the good news that we are forgiven and healed. they are the ones with stone hearts as depicted in the parable of the sower. They refuse to rejoice in God’s salvation and celebrate it. They also attack anything that has to do with faith.

Some people have not yet understood the concept of balance in the word of God. They do not understand the mystery of the whole counsel of the word of God. Man has the tendency towards single vision or double vision but God has multiple visions and we must be like Him. We must not cling to only one or two subjects in the Bible and forget the others.

Some people cling to just love and good works and some people cling to just faith. Some people cling to both love and faith in double vision but forget other subjects like prayer, praise, persistence, patience, thanksgiving, intercession, being filled and led by the Holy Spirit and waiting upon the Lord.

If you study the armor of God, you will observe that it is not one or two. The armor is many. Faith is there and righteousness is there but there are other armors that we need in order to be complete and if we do not put on the complete armor of God we will be defeated and not victorious.

Faith as an armor is very vital and must never be neglected because without faith it is impossible to please God. Any time I preach on faith, some work based warriors will get very uncomfortable and angry but they are being short sighted. If you focus only on works and forget faith, prayer, worship and waiting upon the Lord, you are not imitating Christ because Jesus and Paul had giant faith, wisdom and revelation of the word and prayed. They were also led by the Holy spirit.

Can you pray without faith and the direction of the Spirit? Are you led by the Spirit? Do you hear from the spirit?  Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. Have you shut out the Holy Spirit and His good news because you focus only on your works and ignore the works of Jesus? Examine yourself, your belief and your works and fall in line with the whole counsel of the word of God.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6

The Holy Spirit told me that faith is part of being clean and putting on your white garment. The white garment is the word of God and we must put on the whole counsel of the word of God not just good works or ‘righteousness’. Your righteousness and holiness is not complete without faith and the direction of the Holy Spirit. Jesus and Paul had faith and were constantly led by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross is the one and only foundation and if you reject that foundation, you will fall in the day of trial because only the blood of Jesus can set you free and heal you even as you show gratitude to God but walking in perfect love.

You can be tested for the word’s sake and for not having faith. If your faith is not pure, you will open the door to the devil and trials. The same word that saiid, ‘love one another as I have loved you,’ is the same word that said, ‘your sins have been forgiven. He took our sins, sicknesses and sorrows, He carried our punishments and by His stripes we are healed.’

And they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away. Mark 4:17

That the trial of your faith (much more precious than gold which is tried by the fire) may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 1 Peter 1:7

Why do we choose which word to accept and walk in? Faith means confidence in God and His word and it is a way of understanding. We must accept the whole counsel of the word of God including the good news. We should not accept some and reject some – that is lack of wisdom. Love is a fruit and faith is a fruit. However there are many fruits that grow through the word of God and the Holy Spirit and we must have all of them.

Remember that in the parable of the sower, the seeds that fell on good soil produced good fruits to a hundred fold. The fruits of the Holy Spirit are also fruits of the word of God. The son of man plants His word by His Holy Spirit on earth who is the source and giver of the word of God.

If you reject the word, you reject the Holy Spirit who is the giver. We need the seed of the Spirit which is the word of God in our minds in order to bear fruit. Your fruitfulness is determined by how scanty or full His word is in you. You cannot bear fruit without the word of God. The dwelling place of the word of God is the mind and it is the mind that bears fruit.

The Holy Spirit who is in our hearts is the Spirit of faith, wisdom, understanding, revelation, grace and mercy. He is the one who plants His word or thoughts in our minds through our spirits where He lives. We can either reject or accept those seeds, thoughts or words.

“You stubborn people! You are heathen at heart and deaf to the truth. Must you forever resist the Holy Spirit? That’s what your ancestors did, and so do you! Acts 7:51

Do not reject Christ’s foundation and faith even as you strive to walk in perfect love. Find out what pleases the Lord. Love pleases Him and faith pleases Him among other things like humility, prayer, persistence, being filled and led by the Spirit etc. You started by faith and God’s grace and cannot finish by yourself with your good works alone.

Never forget what Christ has done for us by His sacrifice and always believe the good news that tells you that your sins are forgiven and by His stripes you are healed. That is humility and part of obedience, holiness, cleanliness, righteous, blamelessness and pleasing God.

Develop multiple visions of the word of God and reject the tendency and inclination towards single or double vision. Be balanced and you will see your enemies collapse around you in complete defeat. Have faith in God, His word and His good news of salvation and redemption – the blood of Jesus has set us free and healed us. Thank you Jesus! Amen.

The Doing Saves

Every knowledge you are reading and gathering from the Bible, books, Church, Television, Youtube, blogs etc  is actually for one thing – doing. When you have understanding and knowledge and refuse to apply it, there will be no victory. When we do that, the Bible calls us foolish builders and foolish man.

Anyone who does that is just like the man that built his life on sand. He read and heard but refused to apply what he read and heard. He also heard wrongly. He is also like the man that keeps looking at himself at the mirror of the law but forgets what he looks like when he leaves the mirror.

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:24-27

Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. James 1:23-25

The victory comes from doing. Gather knowledge and do. In doing, apply the knowledge correctly. Some people keep gathering knowledge and refuse to do, while some people do not gather knowledge and do. They apply false doctrines, false knowledge and wisdom to their own destruction.

Wisdom is the right and correct application of knowledge. A lot of people have struggled to collect knowledge from the Bible without the Holy spirit – the Spirit of wisdom, understanding and revelation.

They apply the word of God wrongly because they have no understanding or partial understanding. They suffer from complete or partial spiritual blindness. They lack wisdom, that is why they are the foolish builders, not the wise builders.

It is for our own good for us to gather knowledge by looking at the mirror of the word and also do. We must never forget to do because it is the doing that saves. Obedience is a collective name for doing and practicing the word of God. However, let’s break down obedience and doing to minute components so that we can elucidate further. Complete obedience means putting on and practicing the whole counsel of the word of God.

Obedience can be summarized as:

1. Have faith in God, believe that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

2. Follow the pattern of worship outlined and practiced in the New Testament. Do not worship God in the manner and pattern of the idol worshippers and claim to be worshiping God. By their fruits, deeds and manner of worship we know idol worshippers not what they claim. Action speaks louder than words.

You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods. See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it. Deuteronomy 12:31-32

3. Pray at all times

4. Have expectation when you pray and don’t doubt

5. Know what idolatry is, and flee it

6. Flee sexual sins

7. Love your neighbor as yourself

8. Forgive and overlook hurts and offenses

9. Put on the complete armor of God.

10. Offer spiritual sacrifices of thanksgiving, praise, love and worship

11. Do not forsake the gathering, assembly and fellowship of believers

12. Give offerings and donations to promote the gospel and sustain your local church

All these instructions can be narrowed down and further summarized to:

Don’t hurt God

Don’t hurt man

Pray, praise, thank, worship and grow to maturity

Another Jesus

the northern

For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted – you may well put up with it! (2 Corinthians 11:4 NKJV)

Another Jesus is when people preach and teach strange doctrines that are contrary to the word of God. Believers need to learn how to test the spirits and the apostles. Any practice that was not practiced in the early Church by the apostles is a strange doctrine, it is another Spirit and another Jesus different from the Jesus that was preached by the apostles.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11

I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. Revelations 2:2

We, as believers must constantly search the Scriptures to make sure that what is being preached by our pastors is in line with the Bible. The Berean Christians did it to Paul. The only way to have a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures is by constantly reading the Bible and comparing spirits or doctrines with the Bible.

The source and origin of every doctrine is spiritual. Doctrines come from spirits. Bible doctrine comes from the Holy Spirit while false doctrines come from demons. They are called doctrines of demons by the Bible. Demons will always introduce doctrines that exalt man or created things and scorn or ignore Christ. They never ever glorify Christ.

We must be wise enough to realize that not everyone who claims to be an Apostle or messengers of light is one. We need to guard ourselves against the yeast and teachings of false teachers. Jesus Himself warned us that there will be false prophets and teachers. This wisdom might sound simple but it can be the difference between life and death, heaven and hell.

Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. Acts 18:24

He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately. Acts 18:25

Apollos had accurate and thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. This shows that we can also have thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. When we have a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures, we will be able to defeat errors, lies and the fiery darts of the enemy. We must put truth on our waist. The truth is the whole counsel of the word of God.

May God help us the constantly clothe ourselves with the word of God and defeat false doctrines.

Psalm 4

For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm of David.

The Lord will bring us into prosperity, His light will shine upon us and mercy will surround us like a shield.

Answer me when I call to you,
    my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
have mercy on me and hear my prayer.

How long will you people turn my glory into shame?
How long will you love delusions and seek false godsb]”>[b]?c]”>[c]
Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself;
the Lord hears when I call to him.

Tremble and do not sin;
when you are on your beds,
search your hearts and be silent.
Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
    and trust in the Lord.

Many, Lord, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?”
Let the light of your face shine on us.
Fill my heart with joy
when their grain and new wine abound.

In peace I will lie down and sleep,
    for you alone, Lord,
    make me dwell in safety.

Our Deliverance Comes From The Lord

 62785432-6b48-4d8b-9787-4b6a8bd172f8

Our deliverance comes from God alone, He is our light and salvation. He will deliver us from mighty enemies and show us His face. He will defeat stubborn persistent enemies and bring us to the place of great glory.

Psalm 3

A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom.

Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
Many are saying of me,
    “God will not deliver him.”b]”>[b]

But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
I call out to the Lord,
and he answers me from his holy mountain.

I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.
I will not fear though tens of thousands
    assail me on every side.

Arise, Lord!
    Deliver me, my God!
Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
break the teeth of the wicked.

From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people.
