For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Romans 8:14
And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1
Jesus and Paul were constantly led by the Holy Spirit. The walked with God. They never ignored the Holy Spirit. Paul said, “imitate me as I imitate Christ.” Do you imitate Christ? Are you Christlike in all things? God wants you to walk in the Holy Spirit, so that you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
A lot of believers are not enjoying victory because they have not learnt the secret of absolute dependence on the Holy Spirit and God’s power and grace. They are still trying to do it by their own power and ability, when the word of God explicitly said that by ourselves we can do nothing, and that man’s power is of no use all all. When it comes to inner spiritual strength and ability to live the way God wants, it is by grace, power and the Spirit of grace.
So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your strength comes from God’s grace, not from rules about food, which don’t help those who follow them. Hebrews 13:9
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, Ephesians 3:16
Your strength comes from God’s grace. When you accept this truth and walk by it, you will be humble and keep praying for more and more grace. Then God will keep supplying you with more grace because He gives grace to the humble but resist the proud. It is the truth that you know and walk in that sets you free.
God’s grace is available and He supplies it from His throne of grace. His throne is the throne of grace, where help comes from. The Holy Spirit is our helper – never forget!
Why then do we sometimes forget? It is the proud sin nature in us that makes us depend on self and ignore God’s power and grace. There is a cure for that sin nature – God Himself by His Holy Spirit. Walk in the Holy Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh!
Some years ago, I was attending this Church that was using a rented place for Sunday services. I was new in the Church, then after some months the Lord spoke to me said, “ every Sunday you all gather and pray for my glory to descend, but I will not come down there. Do you know that after service when you leave that building, some other people use that building for rubbish and bad things.” I was perplexed because I knew nothing about that building.
Then, I spoke to a minister in church about that building and told Him what the Holy Spirit told me. Then he replied. “Sister, you are not the only one that has gotten that revelation. So many people in this church have received the same message. Do you know what this building is used for?” I said no because I was new to that church and knew little.
Then he said to me. “It is used as a nightclub and bar. People gather here, and do all sorts of bad things. They even commit fornication with each other in their gatherings. You can see that we have been asking for donations to buy our own building, and we seem to be urgent about it. That is the reason for the urgency. We want to leave this building as soon as possible. I was simply shocked.
The Holy Spirit is one. God’s glory does not dwell in dirty temples. Your heart is His temple. Your house is His temple and the Church is His temple. He longs for His glory to fill His temple. He wants you to be a vessel of honor. His Spirit lives in you but He wants His glory – His manifest presence to fill His temple. His glory is His blood or life essence. God is everywhere, but His glory is not everywhere.
His glory is what flows out of Him. His glory is what He releases into the environment. His glory comes from heaven through the Holy Spirit. His glory visits. His glory is heaven on earth. In the Spirit world, the glory of God appears and disappears, but His Spirit is always present and invincible. You can hear His voice through His Spirit and His voice precedes His glory. His voice is what will lead you and train you daily into experiencing His glory. His voice is what will take you to the glorious mountaintop of golden clouds.
When His glory appears, then you will experience God, but if His glory does not appear, you can be a Christian and be appressed by demons and other torments and afflictions. His glory is vital and essential, and you need His glory more than air, food and water. It is only by God’s grace and wisdom that you can recognize this.
You need God’s glory everyday, but your vessel needs to be clean and you need to learn how to seek God’s face and wait upon Him. God does not dwell in dirty temples.
For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. (1 Thessalonians 4:7 ESV)
Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 4:8 NIV
Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you. (1 Thessalonians 4:8 ESV)
It is a dangerous and foolish thing for any man to reject his creator. Anytime you reject the instructions in the word of God, you reject and resist God, and His Holy Spirit.
If we truly love God, we will accept the instructions that He has given us in His written word. We will also accept and walk in the counsel and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
A man can actively reject God and not even know it. A man can hate the word of God and believe that He loves God the most. That is how the heart of man deceives man. This Scripture clearly lets us know that rejecting God’s word and instructions is rejecting God.
Never steal God’s glory. Always give all the glory to God. Never say, “my faith or my righteousness healed me,” rather say, “ I prayed to the Lord with faith and His power healed me!”
I was meditating on my bed, on a conversation I had with someone who went on and on about faith and never acknowledged prayer, Holy Spirit, holiness, waiting upon the Lord and seeking His face, praise, worship, thanksgiving and the power and glory of God. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “they are stealing my glory.”
The truth is that our Christian Faith is not as simple as that and there is no formula for healing and deliverance. Deliverance starts and ends with God and being led by the Holy Spirit into the root cause of a demonic problem and how to pray to get deliverance. The Holy Spirit also reveals hidden sins in our lives that we are not aware of, and how we are praying amiss.
When you study Mark 11:23 Jesus told the disciples that they needed faith. He also told them in Matthew 17:21 that a stubborn demon they could not cast out, only goes away by prayer and fasting. So it was all about faith, prayer and fasting. Of corse in the act of prayer, they will have to praise, thank, and obey God. The Disciples needed more annointing like Jesus.
Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Mark 11:23
And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. “ (Mark 11:25 ESV)
Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers. 1 Peter 3:7
I have come across people who had serious demonic problems who were not properly ministered to and were being taught all kinds of faith doctrines and they died! I particularly remember this twenty two year old boy who took His took his own life. Another sister also died as a result of taking salt which the doctor asked her not to take and she was saying she had faith.
The same Church who was teaching her this unbalanced doctrine was the one that told us this story and blamed the sister and said that she was not wise, however, this sister was acting on their false unbalanced doctrine. We must be careful and always search the Scriptures by ourselves like the Barean Christians. We must be on our guard against false doctrines.
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11
This person kept talking about faith and never acknowledged the need to spend time in the presence of God, waiting upon the Lord, hearing from the Holy Spirit and being filled with the Holy Spirit and hinderances to answered prayers. The person never acknowledged waking up at midnight to praise God and pray like Paul and Silas. The person never acknowledged the effectual fervent prayer of a righteousness man avails much.
Paul had to seek the face of God concerning his thorn in the flesh and the Holy Spirit spoke to him. He did not ignore God and go around saying I have faith, I have faith. Paul also told Timothy to start taking wine because of his stomach problem and frequent illnesses. He did not tell Timothy that he was not healed because He did not have faith. It is only the Holy Spirit that knows why people are not healed and the root, hinderances and solutions to their problems. Man does not know.
Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses. 1 Timothy 5:23
So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me (2 Corinthians 12:7 – 12:8 ESV)
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
Denial is not faith. Paul pleaded for his affliction to go away so he acknowledged his problem. He did not go around confessing that he had no affliction and that he was already healed. Denying a problem can never help you and it is not faith, however, take your cares to the Lord and see His power and ability instead. Do not focus on the problem or obsess over it.
I kept trying to explain to the person that faith requires action and the action part of faith is spending time in the presence of God, seeking His face. The active part of faith is when you praise, worship and thank God with effectual fervent prayer.
When your faith leads you to have an active working relationship with God and you are full of rejoicing, and thanking God all in circumstances, you know that your faith is active. True faith leads you to be filled with the Holy Spirit and be led by Him.
True faith leads you to bear all the fruits of the Holy Spirit and have the gifts of the Holy Spirit. True faith leads you to Christian maturity, and knowing how not to pray amiss and pray in line with the will of God.
Remember that Christ told the Christians in Laodicean Church that they were naked, blind and poor, yet these were believers that have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus.
Being redeemed means that we walk in the word of God and Holy Spirt always. You are redeemed and God knows it, demons know this, so if you think that all you need to do is believe this foundational teaching and not walk in God, the word of God and the Holy Spirit then you are like the blind, naked poor believers of Revelation.
If you keep confessing that you are delivered, yet refuse to put on your white garment, you are stubborn and proud. Jesus Himself told these belivers to put on their white garments, meaning they were not protected.
You are delivered by the blood of Jesus, no doubt and will go to heaven, but if you refuse to live in the perfect will of God, the devil will have an upper hand and a foothold over you. Do not give the devil a chance.
You are delivered by the blood of Jesus but you can still give the devil a chance by your careless lifestyle. Judgement begins in the house of God, so learn how to resist the devil and enjoy God’s mercy.
True faith attributes all the glory to God. Faith that excludes everything else to the glorification of faith itself is simply not Bible Faith.
For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked (Revelation 3:17 ESV)
Faith is good, holiness is good, prayer is good, and we must never throw them aside because the Bible commanded us to have faith, be holy, praise God and pray. Learn the secret of clinging to all the instructions about prayer and faith in the word of God. Faith alone is single vision. Learn the secret of double and multiple visions. Learn the secret of overcoming in Christ and being a mature believer.
Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. Isaiah 55:7
God is a merciful God. He is full of love and compassion, and He also loves justice. God’s love and mercy does not mean that He will watch injustice, wickedness and violence happen to innocent people, and He will do nothing. His mercy is not an invitation for all to live as they please, including believers – that is error.
Men will reap what they sow, so today should be your day of repentance and serious thought. Do not postpone your day of repentance because you do not know the future.
Repentance is the right way to embrace God’s love, mercy and forgiveness. The best things in life are free. Forgiveness is free – God freely pardons.
“Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 NIV
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you–they are full of the Spirit and life. John 6:63 NIV
See God through the lens of His word. Embrace His Spirit and His word. The Bible talks about the Spirit the water and the blood. They are all very important and vital for our Christian victory and success. The Spirit is the one who gave us the word of God, and still gives us His word by leading us moment by moment, and revealing secrets to us. He also gives us instructions.
The word of God is what you must eat constantly and walk by. The word of God builds you up and gives you faith, love, hope peace and other good fruits and products of the Holy Spirit. The blood of Jesus redeemed us and still redeems us. The blood of Jesus is also the glory of God and His manifest presence.
I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. Acts 2:19
When you fully embrace these three spiritual concepts, and walk by them, moment by moment, you will be mature and victorious.
Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me. Psalm 40:11 NIV
It is only God’s love and mercy that can protect you and sustain you. His love is His glory. His love heals and delivers you. His love is greater than every sin, shadow and evil, so always cling to His love and grace.
God’s love for you is greater and deeper than you can ever imagine. Never judge God by your circumstances and trials. See Him through the lens of His word. Believe in His amazing love for you, and always pray to experience His life giving love.
