Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, (1 Peter 2:11 NKJV)
This Scripture reminds us that we are sojourners and pilgrims on journeys to the promised land. Heaven is our promised land and our glorious hope. That hope should be enough to dilute all our disappointments and temporary pains. We need to learn how to think in line with the Scriptures.
To die is gain and to live is Christ. Philippians 1:21
So right here, we keep living for Christ with joy and happiness knowing without doubt that Heaven is our reward. We never look at death with terror and finality because there is a glorious new beginning in the Land of lights. There is a new day and a Heavenly Jerusalem Church.
May great grace be upon us in Jesus name.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (1 Peter 2:9 NKJV)
Redeemed, set apart, chosen, holy, consecrated and royal – that is what you are.
If you are still dining and dancing with sin, cuddling it and romancing it, then you have lost your bearing. The truth is that you are royal and special. You are not ordinary or common.
You were created to live above sin and the blood of Jesus has made it possible. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin and gives us the ability and grace to live above sin. The blood of Jesus also set us free from past sins that have been forgiven. Our punishments were canceled by the blood of Jesus.
Glory to God who made us chosen, redeemed, free, forgiven, royal, holy people. Thank you Jesus for loving us so much. May great grace be upon us in Jesus name.
When I express
My love
For you
In deep reverence and worship
You come upon me
And fill me
With indescribable love
Your love is
Manna from heaven
It is the food of Angels
And the hope of mankind
Jesus
Fill me with
Your sweet life giving love
Fill me with
Yourself once again!
My eyes wander helplessly
As I look up
Towards the clouds
Wondering when
The great I am
Will pull me out of the
Mud and pit that they have dug for me
The Lord is mighty
He is greater than
Mighty pits and muds
He is greater than
All gods and idols
Though mighty winds blow
I will trust in Him
I will not be shaken
The Lord is mighty
He will surely
Deliver me from ferocious
raging storms
and the traps of the enemy
He will deliver
His children
Message
Never give up
The Lord is with you
Cling to Him
And expectantly
Wait upon Him
For answer
As you walk in His words and ways
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (James 4:8 NKJV)
Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. (James 4:9 NKJV)
When we draw near to God, He draws near to us. God wants us to cleanse our hands and purify our hearts. We can see from the above Scripture, that relationship with God is not as easy as some want it to be. Some people will tell you that if you just confess positively, all will be well with you, but the word of God is not a mantra or an incantation and it should not be used as such.
The word of God must be gloried and respected the way it is. We should not add to it and we must not subtract from it. You must confess and obey, not just confess. We need to maintain close relationship and fellowship with God. Jesus did and Paul did. Anyone that is living a careless disobedient life who expects to confess and decree and move mountains should re-examine himself. Power without purity and holiness is great deception.
We need to draw near to God so that God Himself will draw near to us. May great grace be upon us in Jesus name.
