The Excellent Way

brunch (5)

But covet earnestly the best gifts, and yet show I unto you a more excellent way. 1 Corinthians 12:31 KJV

But earnestly desire and strive for the greater gifts [if acquiring them is going to be your goal]. And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one of the choicest graces and the highest of them all: unselfish love]. 1 Corinthians 12:31 AMP

The Bible instructs us to pursue love and calls love the perfect and excellent way. God is love. So we see that pursuing love is the same as pursuing God and pursuing God is pursuing love. We are instructed to seek and pursue love. Seeking the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness means seeking love.

Gifts, knowledge, wisdom, faith etc are good but the Bible never called them the excellent way or the perfect way – the Bible calls love the excellent and perfect way. Knowledge, wisdom, faith etc are all means to an end. The end result must be love.

When the perfect comes the imperfect will disappear. When we are filled with love for God and one another and practice love, all the imperfect including fear will disappear, fade and pass away because perfect love casts out all fear. When we are filled with love and pray, the aura of love will surround us. That aura is power. Without love and purity, there will be no power. Any power that comes without love and purity is demonic, magical and destructive. Love is the only true way.

There is a good way and an excellent way. There are many good ways but love is the only excellent way and is the greatest of all virtues and fruits.

A Preacher Of Righteousness

Noah was a preacher of righteousness. Jesus, Paul, the Apostles and Prophets were also preachers of righteousness.

Righteousness, prayer, praise, thanksgiving, worship, rejoicing in the Lord, persistence and the manifestation of the glory of God are all evidences and reflections of faith. They are the fruits that will prove that you really have faith. If you claim to have faith, knowledge and wisdom and do not bear any fruit at all, then you are self deceived.

To have faith is to know and understand the word God. If you know the word of God and are not practicing it, you are destroying your faith. Faith can be destroyed by your actions. Faith is also expectation. It is believing God for answers to prayers but sin is a hindrance to prayers. When you destroy your own faith with your own hands and actions and call on God, God will not hear. You have to meet an anointed vessel of honor to anoint you and pray for you. God is merciful and gracious and will hear, deliver and forgive sins.

Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers. 1 Peter 3:7

And do not give the devil a foothold. Ephesians 4:27

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 2 Corinthians 2:11

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16

Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:24

I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.” John 11:42

You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy. Psalm 45:7

It is only a person of faith that will manifest all the fruits of love, righteousness, praise, prayer, thanksgiving, worship, persistence, rejoicing in the Lord and the glory of God. The prayer of a righteous man is effective and avails much. There are no hinderances that will block or delay the answer. Jesus’s prayers were always heard and answered because He was a righteous man on earth and had no blockages or hinderances to His prayers. He was a preacher of righteousness and practiced righteousness. He hated sin and loved righteousness.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Mathew 5:6

May we all love righteousness and encourage one another by preaching righteousness.

Slaves Of Holiness

So now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness (Romans 6:19 NKJV)

But now you have been set free from sin and are the slaves of God. Your gain is a life fully dedicated to him, and the result is eternal life. Romans 6:22

The Bible says that we are slaves of holiness. We are no longer salves of sin and the devil, but we are now salves of Christ and holiness. It is a very good thing to be a slave of God and holiness because that means that we are slaves of life. If we are salves of life for our own good and protection, then, that is a good thing.

Anyone who looks at it like a burden is not yet a sincere believer. A sincere believer glories and rejoices in holiness and righteousness. He is very pleased to do good and be married to goodness. His life is not all about selfishness and methods of how to acquire wealth and blessings – that is the life of pagans and mammon worshipers.

For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. Matthew 6:32

You are either pursuing blessings or you are pursing and pleasing God. You can’t pursue both at the same time. You can only prioritize and make one superior to the other or just focus on pleasing God with the firm unyielding belief that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. That is true faith – as you seek His face, you make pleasing Him the only priority.

The Bible commands us to seek His kingdom and righteousness but never commanded us to seek, pant and lust after blessings and materiality which can be a god or idol in place of God. The Bible commands us to pray for our needs and seek God’s face and that is what we should do as we please Him and walk in Christ.

Jesus is the high priest that meets our needs and our spiritual needs are more important than the physical needs. When we are clean, spiritually, our physical lives will be fine. We must be clean from the inside out, not from the outside in. Pagans clean the outside and leave the inside or inner man dead, dirty and rotten. They are so deed that they are not even aware of the deadness on the inside. That is because the outer man has caged and blinded the inner man. Our physical needs must never take precedence over our spiritual needs or pleasing God.

God worshippers love pleasing God and humans above and beyond blessings. When they are in a place of temptation to harm someone else for selfish pleasure, money or material reward, they overcome the temptations because they have their priorities right. They have determined in advance to love God and man above blessings and materiality.

Owe no man anything, but to love one another, for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8

The life of a true believer is centered around Christ and God consciousness. He is constantly aware that He must appreciate God’s redemption by pleasing Him always in response to His great love. He is very aware that he owes love to his fellow humans. He is free from evil and sin but not free from doing good. He owes his neighbor goodness, purity and love. He is a slave of goodness and holiness and loves it.

You Allowed It

Revelations And Messages 7

7: You Allowed It

The Lord once said to me, ‘ A spell was cast upon you and you allowed it.’ That was when I was still very young in the Lord and His ways. The Lord had told me I would go through serious trials, tests and battles. The Lord subsequently taught my fingers to fight and make war until I learnt how to manifest His glory. I know now, how to pray and experience His manifest presence.

When I am filled with His Spirit, I experience certain things in my physical body. For the past 26 years, it’s been the same physical signs that I feel when my Spirit is filled with His presence. It is only the Lord that can train us and teach us effectively, on how to pray and get result. We must be led by His Spirit and receive counsel and direction.

The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. Exodus 15:3 KJV

The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name. Exodus 15:3 NIV

Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. Psalm 144:1

When His glory manifests, I see Him in form of clouds. The cloud usually descends from heaven. He is inside the cloud and sometimes the cloud opens for me to see Him. However, most of the time, I just see the cloud and He talks from inside the cloud. He comes with clouds of white, white and blue, purple, and gold. He has told me the meaning of the different colors of the cloud.

My inner garments instantly change to whatever color of cloud He appears in. My spiritual sandals also take up that same color. Sometimes the color of my spiritual hair also changes to the color of the cloud if the cloud is gold. My inner hair becomes sparkling gold. I had to accept His corrections and apply them like a warrior before knowing Him and His glory.

The Lord is a warrior and fighter and wants His children to become very fierce warriors. He hates docility. How can you be a victorious fighter if you have never been trained in the battle field of life? Life is a battle field and only the tested, brave and persistent emerge victorious.

The Lord was not blaming me, He was just letting me know that we should actively resist evil by engaging in hot fervent prayers. When you have the Lord of Lords and powers as your father, every power is available to you. The devil uses his agents to put spells on us to test our faith. The spell finds a space, lands and grows if our faith and walk with God is not yet up to His standard – mature

Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest. Proverbs 26:2

How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce those whom the LORD has not denounced? Numbers 23:8

The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. Proverbs 21:1

The fearful and timid know only one thing – defeat. Get rid of childish fears, pick up your golden swords and fight. Fight until you win – that was how the Lord dealt with me and He is dealing with all His children that way. The Lord was not soft on me, He was very tough but I will call that, ‘tough love.’ When I was in my darkest battle, He said to me, ‘I will console you.’ That word and promise kept me going and He has started consoling me.

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown. Revelations 2:10

There is always light at the end of every tunnel. We must actively fight and participate in every battle that the Lord has called us to. No whimpering, murmuring, blaming or complaining. When called to battle, rise up with your weapons and swords, obediently, and fight even if it means that you pray several hours at night. Just fight. Fight even to the point of death – that is more honorable than not fighting at all.

Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass,

When the Lord has not commanded it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High

That woe and well-being proceed (Lamentations 3:37 – 3:38 NKJV)

Brethren, what evil are you allowing in your lives today? The victory is within you if you can rise up like a warrior and approach Gods throne for a change. He does not want you to put up with it, He wants to help you. However, ultimately, He wants you to be constantly filled with His Spirit. When you are filled and covered with His hedge or protection, you will be empowered to win every battle.

If you are under fire from the camp of the enemy and adversary, you have a deliverer and saviour – Jesus. He is challenging you today, to rise up in faith, prayer and persistence until you experience victory and deliverance. Have the faith of a Lion and pray like a tiger. Tear the enemy in pieces with the power of the Lord, like a tiger until the enemy dissolves into nothingness.

Don’t look back or pity the enemy, the enemy is not pitying you. Fight to finish and win. The battle line was drawn even before you were born – you did not draw it so don’t run away because even if you run away, the battle will be there, waiting for you, growing wilder and fiercer, till it overpowers you. Battle is an inevitable part of life.

May the Lord give you a Lions heart to fight on your knees and persist until you are victorious. After victory comes the crown of life, righteousness and peace.

The wicked

Proudly glory in their

Powers

They bend their bows

And invoke their demons

On unsuspecting

Innocent victims

But the Lord

is our refuge

And strength

The Lord hates evil

He hates the wicked

And those who love violence

He will judge

And avenge

Because

He loves justice

The righteous will

See His face

And taste His glory

Psalm 11

For the director of music. Of David.

In the Lord I take refuge.
    How then can you say to me:
    “Flee like a bird to your mountain.
For look, the wicked bend their bows;
    they set their arrows against the strings
to shoot from the shadows
    at the upright in heart.
When the foundations are being destroyed,
    what can the righteous do?”

The Lord is in his holy temple;
    the Lord is on his heavenly throne.
He observes everyone on earth;
    his eyes examine them.
The Lord examines the righteous,
    but the wicked, those who love violence,
    he hates with a passion.
On the wicked he will rain
    fiery coals and burning sulfur;
    a scorching wind will be their lot.

For the Lord is righteous,
    he loves justice;
    the upright will see his face.

Believing And Praying

You must believe and you must also pray. Believing and having faith without spending time in prayer is a great deception. Jesus had super faith, but He also prayed. Paul had super faith but he also prayed. Having faith and a through understanding of your inheritance in Christ does not mean that you should not spent time in prayer.

Seeking God’s face and waiting upon Him for grace, mercy and peace to be yours in full measure is a must. It is the praying that will activate the inheritance. You start with faith, go on to obedience, add prayer and persist or press on with patience. Paul prayed and activated his inheritance.

May mercy, peace, and love be yours in full measure. Jude 1:2

Faith without action is dead. Faith without obedience and prayer is dead. Let the prophets and apostles be your constant example. Paul said, ‘ imitate me as I imitate Christ.’

The whole group was pleased with the apostles’ proposal, so they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a Gentile from Antioch who had earlier been converted to Judaism. Acts 6:5

Faith is stationary while the Holy Spirit moves and performs. You must be filled with faith and the Holy Spirit. If you are filled with faith without being filled with the Holy Spirit, you have not achieved much. The objective, purpose and end result of faith is to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

You must be purpose driven and not loose focus. Faith for the sake of faith without tasting the reality of the Holy Spirit and being filled with love is a fantasy. Let your faith take you to maturity and the mountain top of God’s glory without distractions. Get to the mountain top because that should be the end result of your faith.

It is obedience, prayer, praise, worship and praise that will give life to your faith. Faith does not work alone. It is multidimensional and works with many variables. Do not rely on your faith alone but pray until you experience the manifest presence of God. When you bask in His glory is when you know that your faith has life.

Your faith must be a constant reality. The reality is the manifest presence of God. Any faith that has not brought down God’s glory is not a mature faith. Faith must become tangible and that tangibility is the glory of God.

Your faith combined with obedience is what will take you to heaven and it is also what will make you experience heaven on earth. The reality of the Holy Spirit is heaven on earth. The Kingdom of God is within us, may He make that Kingdom a tangible reality. May we all persist until we taste His glory, daily.

You Will See Those Egyptians No More

Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. Exodus 14:13

Stand Firm

This Scripture is just so wonderful to our Spirits. We are commanded to stand firm. We must stand firm in the unyielding belief and foundation that the blood of Jesus has set us free. We are free – no contractions. The enemy will only try to bully us into thinking that we are still slaves of sin, death and punishments but we are not. We only need to grow in our redemption, love, hope and faith

We are redeemed, forgiven, free children of the most high God. That is why we will go to heaven when we die. We are already citizens of heaven and those who are filled with His Spirit experience heaven every day. His presence is Heaven and brings heaven to reality. The kingdom of God is within us but we will not experience that reality if we are not constantly filled with His glory.

We are free. If we were not free from our sins or forgiven, we would not look forward to heaven. The fact that we believe that we will go to heaven means that we have acknowledged that we are forgiven and do not have to pay for our sins in hell, purgatory or any other place.

We are healed by the punishment he suffered,

made whole by the blows he received. Isaiah 53:5

Stand firm in your faith and belief. Our sins and punishments were cancelled by the punishments that Jesus suffered on the cross for us. We do not have to pay twice. Do not let the devil rob you by making you think you have to pay again, you do not. Fight till the end and hold on till the end in unwavering conviction, expectation and hope. Cling to the healthy word of God that sets your soul free from lies and deception. Let His life giving words dwell richly in you.

Do not believe that you will pay in purgatory – that means you have rejected the sacrifice of Jesus and the power of His precious blood. When you try to pay for your sins by yourself you end up rejecting grace and embracing death. You can never pay for your sins or achieve salvation by your own efforts, punishments and blood. Embrace the blood of Jesus and believe in His eternal redemption.

Do not be afraid

Do not be afraid. The devil will try to overwhelm you with so many red seas and giants. He will try to make you fear and doubt your redemption but do not be afraid. Hold your peace and believe in God’s saving grace that has set you free and sets you free. Reject doubt and fear and trust in Him who loved you so much and sent His son to die in your place.

You will see the deliverance of the Lord

As you trust in God and cling to His word in faith, persistence, praise and obedience, you will see the deliverance of the Lord. Never give up on God and on your faith. Hold on to God’s word and mercy even with your dying breath. He is the deliverer and will never disappoint those who have faith in Him and cling to Him for help.

You will see the Egyptians no more

The enemies, afflictions, problems and punishments you see, you will see them no more as you worship Him, thank Him, praise Him and rejoice in Him. Do not look at the enemy but at the power of God and the blood of Jesus. Focus on His ability and do not focus on self and the ability of self. The ability of self is a mirage and a delusion. Every good and perfect present comes from God.

Realize the bigness of God and the littleness of your problems. As you grow in faith and dependence on God – humbly praying for the infilling of the Holy Spirit, you will see those Egyptians and giants no more. All you will see will be the glory of God.

The LORD has promised that he himself will be a wall of fire around the city to protect it and that he will live there in all his glory.” Zechariah 2:5

He will dwell in you in all His glory. Amen.

Psalm 10

Why, Lord, do you stand far off?
    Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak,
    who are caught in the schemes he devises.
He boasts about the cravings of his heart;
    he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.
In his pride the wicked man does not seek him;
    in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
His ways are always prosperous;
    your laws are rejected by him;
    he sneers at all his enemies.
He says to himself, “Nothing will ever shake me.”
    He swears, “No one will ever do me harm.”

His mouth is full of lies and threats;
    trouble and evil are under his tongue.
He lies in wait near the villages;
    from ambush he murders the innocent.
His eyes watch in secret for his victims;
    like a lion in cover he lies in wait.
He lies in wait to catch the helpless;
    he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.
10 His victims are crushed, they collapse;
    they fall under his strength.
11 He says to himself, “God will never notice;
    he covers his face and never sees.”

12 Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God.
    Do not forget the helpless.
13 Why does the wicked man revile God?
    Why does he say to himself,
    “He won’t call me to account”?
14 But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted;
    you consider their grief and take it in hand.
The victims commit themselves to you;
    you are the helper of the fatherless.
15 Break the arm of the wicked man;
    call the evildoer to account for his wickedness
    that would not otherwise be found out.

16 The Lord is King for ever and ever;
    the nations will perish from his land.
17 You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted;
    you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,
18 defending the fatherless and the oppressed,
    so that mere earthly mortals
    will never again strike terror.

Hold Your Peace And Let God Fight For You

Hold your peace (3)

The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:14

For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” Deuteronomy 20:4

The Lord our God is the one that fights our battles. Some people have not realized this secret so they go around fighting, quarreling and revenging. They try so hard on their own and in their own power to defeat stubborn enemies. However, the power of man is useless when it comes to stubborn persistent enemies.

Some enemies are even clothed with the power of Satan and witchcraft to fight innocent believers. So why do people fret and get disturbed? They get disturbed and are applying all sorts of physical weapons to fight their enemies and perceived enemies. The Israelites had both physical and spiritual enemies.

Pharaoh had gods who were behind his hatred and abuse towards the Israelites. God had to intervene before, the Israelites could be set free. It is not by power or might but by the Spirit of God. God had to use His own higher power to defeat the gods and powers behind pharaoh.

On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD. Exodus 12:12

When God steps in and judges the powers and gods behind your stubborn enemies, you will experience victory. It is the Lord our God that goes with us to fight for us and give us victory. Our own power is useless and can only be a hinderance to the power of God.

As we hold our peace and go into prayer, praise, worship and thanksgiving with faith, persistence and obedience, God will step in and overtake and overpower our enemies in the secret place of mercy and grace.

Psalm 9

For the director of music. To the tune of “The Death of the Son.” A psalm of David.

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
