That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10 – 2:11 NKJV)
When the power of God is present, every knee must bow. Nothing in all of creation can resist or disobey the power of God. Those who have learnt the secret of the manifest presence of God know the reality of all knees and powers bowing at the name of Jesus.
All power belongs to Jesus and He has authority over death and the grave. When you call His name and He appears spiritually, powers tremble, bow, flee and dissolve at His glory. They cannot withstand the fire emanating from Him. They must bow and flee.
Lord, our God
Redeemer and comforter
Great and mighty
Powerful and true
Silence the enemy and avenger
As we praise and magnify
Your holy name
For the director of music. According to gittith. A psalm of David.
1 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
in the heavens.
2 Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
5 You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
7 all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
8 the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
9 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
But it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 2 Timothy 1:10
After achieving forgiveness for the sins of all human beings, he sat down in heaven at the right side of God, the Supreme Power. Hebrews 1:3
No other human, spirit or god has ever been able to defy death. It is only the one who defied death and lived above and beyond death that should command our respect. Jesus Christ defeated death for us and also promised us victory over death, the grave and eternal life. Christians are pilgrims in this world looking forward to their future existence in heaven.
People are out there preaching all sorts of religions and ideologies including Atheism. My own reality is this – if you have never defied death like Jesus Christ, do not expect me to listen to your wisdom. Any wisdom that cannot create the world, humans and defy death is a worthless and deceptive wisdom.
Christ alone defied and defeated death and He alone commands my respect. He is the only Lord and all other gods are fake and false. They are simply figments of man’s imagination, they are not real.
Christ is softly beckoning to all, today to accept Him as Lord. He paid our debts with His blood and achieved forgiveness for human sins. He has freely given and offered us mercy, love and life. He alone has the guarantee and assurance of eternal life.
Lord, you are our shield and savior. Decree justice and manifest your love. Amen.
A shiggaion of David, which he sang to the Lord concerning Cush, a Benjamite.
1 Lord my God, I take refuge in you;
save and deliver me from all who pursue me,
2 or they will tear me apart like a lion
and rip me to pieces with no one to rescue me.
3 Lord my God, if I have done this
and there is guilt on my hands—
4 if I have repaid my ally with evil
or without cause have robbed my foe—
5 then let my enemy pursue and overtake me;
let him trample my life to the ground
and make me sleep in the dust.
6 Arise, Lord, in your anger;
rise up against the rage of my enemies.
Awake, my God; decree justice.
7 Let the assembled peoples gather around you,
while you sit enthroned over them on high.
8 Let the Lord judge the peoples.
Vindicate me, Lord, according to my righteousness,
according to my integrity, O Most High.
9 Bring to an end the violence of the wicked
and make the righteous secure—
you, the righteous God
who probes minds and hearts.
10 My shield is God Most High,
who saves the upright in heart.
11 God is a righteous judge,
a God who displays his wrath every day.
12 If he does not relent,
he will sharpen his sword;
he will bend and string his bow.
13 He has prepared his deadly weapons;
he makes ready his flaming arrows.
14 Whoever is pregnant with evil
conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.
15 Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out
falls into the pit they have made.
16 The trouble they cause recoils on them;
their violence comes down on their own heads.
17 I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness;
I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.
The Lord has promised that he himself will be a wall of fire around the city to protect it and that he will live there in all his glory.” Zechariah 2:5
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore. Psalm 125:2
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Psalm 34:7
We need to get to the place where God is holding us. In this place of safely, protection and glory, God’s aura and presence surrounds us like a wall of fire. Nothing can penetrate this hedge, seal and wall.
When we are in this place of safety, who will harm us? How can they harm us? No, they cannot harm us because God is holding us.
May we get to the place of constant glory and protection in Jesus name.
