An Opportunity

When the enemy comes in like a flood,

The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19 NKJV)

When sorrow comes
Like a flood
We must see this as
An opportunity to
Be steadfast in
Loving Christ
And rejoicing in Him
Who has the power to crush
Sorrow.
It is an opportunity
To pray and depend
On God.

When our enemies come
Against us
He who destroys
With the breath of
His mouth
Will lift up a standard
Against them
And destroy them.

Sorrow is never pleasant
And God does not
Want us to be in sorrow
However, because we
Are human, we are
Not immune to it
God feels our pains
And sorrows
And will finally wipe
Out all sorrows
At the end of time.

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4 NKJV)

Now that we are
Still in time
We can overcome
Sorrow by constant
Prayer and an attitude
Of constant joy
And delighting in Christ
For His blood that
Set us free
Through thanksgiving, praise
And worship
It is in prayer, praise
And worship
That He manifests

Pleasing Him

Pleasing Him

finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:10 NKJV)

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. (Ephesians 5:17 NKJV)

Knowing God’s will and how to please Him is the ultimate way to live the life in the Spirit. Without knowledge of what pleases God, we will not know how to worship Him. God sent His son to show us the way to His heart.

If we make it our goal to find out what pleases the Lord, we will know Him. Knowing Him will in turn make us do great exploits for Him.

The Lord Is Mighty

The Lord Is Mighty

And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church (Ephesians 1:22 NKJV)

He will change our weak mortal bodies and make them like his own glorious body, using that power by which he is able to bring all things under his rule. Philippians 3:21)

Who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand–with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him. ( 1 Peter 3:22)

The Lord is Mighty
He rules supreme
Above every power
The waves
And winds
Obey Him
Death bows in
Awe of Him
Angels fall
Prostrate
Before Him

The Lord is mighty
Kings perish from
His rebuke
His breath destroys evil
Demons quake and
Quiver at His presence
The mountains melt
In fear of Him
And sicknesses flee
At His name

The Lord is mighty
He deserves all the praise
Honor, thanksgiving and adoration
May we never cease to praise Him
Because He is mighty.

Love All The Time

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you (Matthew 5:44 NKJV)

And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:47 – 5:48 NKJV)

But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. “And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same (Luke 6:32 – 6:33 NKJV)

Love all the time
When it’s difficult
And when it’s hard

Love all the time
When the sun rises
And when the sun sets
When it’s raining
When the sun is at its peak
And when it’s dry

Love all the time
Through pain and disappointment
Accepting the flaws of others
And overlooking hurt
And insults
And weaknesses

Love always
Without conditions
And expectations
Because
That is how Christ loved us
He loved us
Even with our
Weaknesses, imperfections
And ingratitude

The greatest love is truly revealed
When the recipient
Of that love
Has nothing to offer
And can’t pay us back
Even the pagans
Love those who love them.

Wall Of Fire

For I,’ says the LORD, ‘will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’ ” (Zechariah 2:5 NKJV)

And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” (Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV)

And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire (Hebrews 1:7 NKJV)

And the power of the Lord was present to heal them (Luke 5:17 NKJV)

Imagine a wall of fire all around you to protect you always. Glory! This an awesome promise from our God. Fire is the manifest presence of God that consumes all evil and that promised fire is the best gift of all. Jesus promised us that we will be baptised with the Holy Ghost and fire. This fire is the Holy fire that consumes all evil. It is pure, undiluted holy power. It is the fire that heals the sick and forces demons to tremble, bow and flee.

If we believe that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him then , we have faith to approach the throne of grace for this fire. That is all we need to be super victorious as believers and ministers. Those who crave this fire and are hungry for this fire will be baptised and surrounded by fire.

And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night (Exodus 13:21 NKJV)

Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here (Exodus 33:15 NKJV)

If the great men of old including our Lord Jesus, needed this fire to be protected and victorious, we also need fire. We need to keep praying with faith and persistence until we are transformed into fire and become flames of fire.

The Light

The Light

God is so bright and beautiful that darkness cannot go near Him. There is nothing good about darkness because it is darkness that breeds every form of evil.

Any evil you see on earth is as a result of darkness. Darkness starts from the mind, when men engage in lies or false thoughts. Any thought that does not agree with God’s thoughts and point of view is pure darkness.

When God has labelled something evil, we must not claim to know more than God by reversing the word of God and claiming that the evil thing is in fact good.

I have met Christians who ardently argue that fornication, homosexuality and idol worship are are not sin. Wow, Christians, not really believers in the word of God. They are in the category of those who say Lord, Lord.

Christ is in their lips but not in their hearts. They actually hate Christ and His word and light but are so blind they do not realise it. This is because the god of this world has blinded their spiritual eyes or mind.

Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. (2nd Corinthians 4:4)

God Himself is light and no child of light is comfortable inside darkness or lies. People who love evil things however love lies and darkness. They enjoy evil and even boast about evil exploits.

And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. “For everyone practising evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. “But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God (John 3:19 – 3:21 NKJV)

Those who love darkness hate the word of God and in some places Christians are targeted and killed, simply for loving the light.

The word of God says that darkness has never overcome light. This is because a place that radiates with glorious light and is light itself has been prepared for children of light while a place of complete darkness and gloom awaits the lovers of darkness and evil.

The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honour into it (Revelation 21:23 – 21:24 NKJV)

There is no darkness in God and there should no darkness or stain in us as believers. Our garments should always be clean and white. The blood of Jesus is constantly available to wash us white as snow and to also provide grace and  ability to be victorious over sin and darkness. All we need is hatred for sin and darkness and absolute dependence on the Holy Spirit for sanctification .

And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. “For everyone practising evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. “But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God (John 3:19 – 3:21 NKJV)

Light is good and it is wonderful to belong to the kingdom of light where light is King. There is no darkness in God.

The Golden Rule

Love does no harm to a neighbour; therefore love is the fulfilment of the law (Romans 13:10 NKJV)

Love is so precious, yet so rare. Because of our fallen nature, selfishness reigns. A lot of people who profess love do it with lip service. The word of God has not sunk deep enough into the heart in order to constantly bear the fruit of love.

Love is so indispensable and we cannot thrive as human beings if we do not love one another. Any harm we do to another human being is done directly against God – the creator.

Whatever we do to the least of our fellow human is done to God. Any good we do to another person is a personal love offered to God himself.

And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ (Matthew 25:40 NKJV)

And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. (Luke 6:31 NKJV)

Jesus said we should to others what we want them to do to us. We must never cause another human pain or harm in any form. It might seam like a joke but remember that God said that calling a fellow human a fool can lead to hell fire.

You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder,a] and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgement.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a causeb] shall be in danger of the judgement. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. (Matthew 5, 21-22)

 

All we owe to one another is love and the only thing we owe to God is love which translates into love of neighbour and pure worship of God.

Pure worship means following the pattern of worship prescribed in the New Testament. The whole counsel of the word of God must be accepted and practised.

In our worship of God we must keep away from any form of worship that Jesus and Paul did not practice.

False worship is worship of demons and underneath the innocence of external objects like holy water, holy oil, alters, mantles and miracle handkerchief lies shedding of innocent blood which is the foundation that has given demonic power to those objects. God does not live in temples made by human hands.

For as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:

TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.

Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: 24 “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 Nor is He worshipped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. (Acts 17, 23 – 25)

God does not live in a bottle of oil – oil is simply a symbol of the Holy Spirit. Oil can never be holy, holiness is an attribute of God and belongs to God alone not man made materials.

If we claim to love our neighbour and engage in false worship, we deceive ourselves. If you have doubts, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the foundation of those practices and you will be shocked.

No matter how much good you do if you are in a religion or church that worships idols, you are guilty of blood. The blood shedding involved in idol worship is greater than all the good you think you have done combined seven fold.

John the apostle of love spoke at length about love in first John and at the end he advised us to keep away from idols. Idol is the opposite of love because they get their power from human blood.

They are powerless and are nothing without human blood, that is why Paul said that an idol stands for something that does not exist. Worship of idol is worship and love of witchcraft and human blood – it is terrible and highly destructive in an invincible manner.

Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. (1 John 5:21 NKJV)

We must never harm our neighbors by our actions and idol worship.

Good Things

Good Things

 

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! (Matthew 7:11 NKJV)

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13 NKJV)

It is important to note that this scripture says, those who ask. It did not say those who wish or desire. Desire is very good and we must start with desire, however we must verbalise our desire by asking. We must formally present our desire to God in prayer.

I indeed baptise you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire. (Matthew 3:11 NKJV)

God wants us to get to that point where we realise that without him we can do nothing. This is the place complete surrender and absolute dependence and reliance on God.

We need the Holy Spirit more than air and oxygen, and that realisation is actually great wisdom. Wisdom however comes from God.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 NKJV)

God will keep leading us step by step until we get to that place where we treasure Christ’s Spirit like the hidden treasure in the parables of Jesus. When that man stumbled upon the hidden treasure he forsook all else for the sake of hidden treasure.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field (Matthew 13:44 NKJV)

The Holy Spirit is the one who makes the Kingdom of heaven manifest or visible on earth. He makes you experience the tangible presence of God with heavenly visions and dreams.

Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is within us. All we need is to ask God for good things and the greatest good thing is the Holy Spirit and fire.

Blessed

Blessed

Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. (Romans 4:7 NKJV)

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, (Romans 5:1 NKJV)

This word is from the mouth if God, we are indeed blessed, justified, cleansed and purified from past sin.

Any sin that has been forsaken has been swallowed up by the blood of Jesus. God sees us as blameless and innocent as long as confessed forsaken sins are concerned.

He has already declared us not guilty, so no amount of accusation or condemnation from the devil and his cohorts will stand.

His Love says, “not guilty.” We must believe in the love that God has for us and forget the voice of condemnation from the devil.

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him (1 John 4:16 NKJV)

We must forget the inherited guilty conscience in the DNA of man which constantly tells him that he must pay for his sins. Jesus paid it all with pure divine blood.

Nothing else will save but the blood of Jesus. His blood has saved us and keeps saving us. We are indeed blessed to be forgiven.
