Wait Upon the Lord for Your Needs
Introduction
Hello, welcome to another message titled “Wait Upon the Lord for Your Needs.”
Some days ago, the Lord spoke to me and said:
“Wait upon the Lord to receive what you need from Him.”
God knows that we all have needs, and He desires to meet those needs. The key is learning to rely on Him instead of turning to worldly solutions or ungodly alternatives.
Jesus Is the High Priest Who Meets Our Needs
Hebrews 7:26
“Jesus then is the high priest that meets our needs. He is holy; He has no fault or sin in Him. He has been set apart from sinners and raised above the heavens.”
Jesus is the One who truly satisfies every need — spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
Many people wander away from God because they stop trusting Him to provide for them. Some begin seeking answers in wrong places, worldly systems, false teachings, or even idolatry because they lose patience.
But God wants you to trust Him completely.
God Will Supply All Your Needs
Philippians 4:19
“But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
God is not against blessing you. He is not against favor, provision, success, marriage, or breakthrough. But He wants you to seek Him first.
The greatest need you have is not material things — your greatest need is Jesus Himself.
Jesus Is What You Need Most
Jesus is:
- The Presence of God
- The Word of God
- The Wisdom of God
- The Glory of God
- The Life of God
When you have Jesus, you have everything you truly need.
The Lord has repeatedly shown me that constantly being filled with the Holy Spirit and walking in God’s presence is the key to living victoriously.
When you prioritize the presence of God:
- Your needs begin to align properly.
- Your heart becomes peaceful.
- Your life becomes ordered according to God’s will.
The Importance of the Holy Spirit
You need:
- The Word of God
- The Voice of God
- The Presence of God
- The Fire of God
The Holy Spirit leads you into God’s will and teaches you how to walk with Him daily.
When you walk in obedience and fellowship with God, you begin to experience:
- Joy
- Peace
- Patience
- Confidence
- Direction
- Spiritual strength
The Fruits of the Spirit Are in Degrees
Jesus taught that fruitfulness comes in levels:
- Thirtyfold
- Sixtyfold
- Hundredfold
God wants you to strive toward fullness.
When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you experience the fruits of the Spirit in greater measure:
- Love
- Joy
- Peace
- Patience
- Kindness
- Faithfulness
- Self-control
Without the fullness of the Holy Spirit, you cannot experience full joy and peace.
Seek God First
Matthew 6:33
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
The Kingdom of God begins with His presence within you.
When you focus on God instead of obsessing over material things, comparison, or worldly success, your life becomes peaceful and ordered.
Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
Many people become anxious because they compare their lives with others:
- Marriage timelines
- Financial success
- Houses
- Careers
- Social status
But God has a unique timeline for every person.
Your blessing must come in God’s perfect will and timing.
Do not measure your life against someone else’s journey.
Walking in the Spirit Brings Peace
When you walk in the Spirit:
- You stop panicking.
- You stop chasing worldly validation.
- You become patient.
- You trust God’s process.
The Holy Spirit gives you confidence that God’s promises will come to pass at the appointed time.
The Holy Spirit Teaches You How to Pray
The Lord once said to me:
“People do not go about Me the right way.”
The Holy Spirit should guide your prayer life.
He teaches:
- When to praise
- When to worship
- When to read Scripture
- When to pray
- When to wait silently before God
Prayer is not meant to be mechanical. It is relationship.
Worldliness Blocks Your Ability to Hear God
The Holy Spirit also spoke to me and said:
“Worldliness blocks your ears from hearing God.”
Worldliness includes:
- Constant comparison
- Envy
- Jealousy
- Pride
- Obsession with status
- Seeking validation from people
God wants you to walk in peace, purity, and simplicity.
Success is not becoming like someone else.
True success is fulfilling God’s purpose for your life.
Discipline Is Necessary
The Lord also taught me something powerful:
“Being happy in the Spirit takes discipline.”
Later He explained:
“Discipline means you don’t feel like it, but you do it anyway.”
Sometimes you may not feel like praying, worshipping, or waiting upon God. But spiritual growth requires consistency.
As you continue seeking God faithfully, you become constantly filled with the Holy Spirit.
Waiting Upon the Lord Changes Everything
When you stay in God’s presence consistently:
- Your mind becomes peaceful.
- Your spiritual sensitivity increases.
- God begins directing your life clearly.
- Your needs begin to be met.
- Your heart becomes satisfied in Him.
Sometimes God answers instantly.
Other times He teaches patience while preparing the right timing.
Both are part of spiritual maturity.
Final Encouragement
God wants to meet your needs.
Jesus is the High Priest who supplies everything you truly need.
Do not live anxiously like the world. Wait upon the Lord. Stay filled with the Holy Spirit. Walk in the Spirit daily.
The more you remain in God’s presence, the more your life will reflect His peace, joy, and victory.
Prayer
May you constantly walk in the Spirit.
May you be filled daily with the Holy Spirit and the presence of God.
May the Lord teach you patience, faith, and dependence on Him.
May your needs be supplied according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
May the Lord bless you, guide you, and keep you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Have a blessed day.
