The Word of God Is All That Matters (Biblical Teaching on Spiritual Growth)
Hello, welcome to another message titled “The Word of God Is All That Matters.”
This was a revelation the Lord gave to me a few days ago.
1 John 3:24
“Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”
The Holy Spirit has been given to us, and by this Holy Spirit we abide in the Word of God.
The seed is the Word of God, and it is the Holy Spirit that plants that seed in our hearts and minds.
We are supposed to accept the Word of God, walk with it, meditate on it, and allow it to transform us.
The Scripture says that if you keep the commandments of God, you abide in Him, and He abides in you.
The Word of God produces many things in us:
- Faith
- Love
- Hope
- Peace
- Wisdom
- Spiritual maturity
That is why the Word of God bears fruit.
If you want the fruits of the Spirit:
- Love
- Joy
- Peace
- Patience
- Kindness
- Goodness
- Faithfulness
- Gentleness
- Self-control
then you must be deeply rooted in the Word of God.
The Word Produces Fruit
The Holy Spirit produces fruit in us through the Word of God.
If your thoughts are contrary to the Word of God, then you will begin to produce fear instead of faith.
But when you meditate on the Word of God:
- Peace grows
- Faith increases
- Love becomes stronger
- Your mind becomes sound
The Bible says:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
That is how we are supposed to walk with God.
Seek the Kingdom First
Relationship with God is very important.
Yes, God wants to bless us. The Bible says:
“He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
But we must walk according to His commandments.
Jesus taught us:
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.”
That means we must walk in the footsteps of Christ.
As we do that, all other things will be added unto us.
But if someone does not care about:
- The Word of God
- Spiritual growth
- Christian maturity
- The fruits of the Spirit
- The prosperity of the soul
then that person is not abiding in Christ.
The Bible says:
“Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.”
God wants us to prosper, but He also wants our souls to prosper.
God does not want darkness inside us.
He wants us to reflect Him and become lights in this world.
Abiding in Christ
John 15:4
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me.”
To abide in Christ is to abide in His Word.
Jesus is the Word of God.
That is why the Lord said to me in this revelation:
“The Word of God is all that matters.”
We must cherish the Word of God and walk in obedience to it.
The Bible says:
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”
Abiding in Christ is not about following human traditions or creating an imaginary version of Jesus in our minds.
Jesus Himself warned about leaving the commandments of God to follow the commandments of men.
Read the Word for Yourself
Thank God the Bible is available everywhere today.
We all have access to the Word of God.
So it is our responsibility to:
- Read the Bible
- Meditate on it
- Study it
- Walk in it
- Obey it
If we are deceived, we cannot blame others forever because God has already given us:
- His Word
- His Holy Spirit
The Berean believers were described as noble-minded because even after listening to Paul teach, they still searched the Scriptures to confirm what he said.
That is wisdom.
No human being can replace:
- The Word of God
- The Holy Spirit
Even while listening to messages and teachings, we must still return to Scripture ourselves.
The Holy Spirit is our primary Teacher.
Jesus teaches us through His Spirit.
The Devil Uses Deception
The enemy deceives people when they ignore the Word of God.
The devil knows the Word of God very well.
That is why Jesus resisted Satan with Scripture during temptation.
The Bible says:
“Even the demons believe—and tremble.”
The devil knows God is Lord.
Demons know Jesus is Lord.
But their work is deception.
Deception only works when someone twists truth in order to mislead others.
That is why believers must stay grounded in the Word of God.
Resist the Devil Through the Word
Jesus told Peter:
“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat.”
Then Jesus said:
“But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail.”
Temptation and testing will come, but we must resist through:
- Prayer
- Watchfulness
- The Word of God
- Dependence on the Holy Spirit
Jesus also said:
“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”
Victory comes through abiding in God’s Word.
Walk According to God’s Pattern
There is a pattern of worship revealed in the New Testament.
We should not invent our own ways.
God wants obedience.
Jesus Himself constantly walked in the Word of God, and that was why He remained victorious.
The Word of God is the will of God.
The more we abide in it, the more we enjoy:
- God’s presence
- God’s blessings
- God’s peace
- Spiritual protection
The Word of God is the bridge that ushers us into God’s presence.
No Shortcut to Spiritual Maturity
There is no shortcut around obedience.
The Lord once spoke to me and said:
“You cannot break the Word of God and get away with it.”
Whenever we disobey God’s Word, correction follows.
That is why we must constantly pray for grace and ask God to help us walk in His will.
God is not interested in lukewarm Christianity.
Jesus said He would spit the lukewarm out of His mouth.
God wants maturity.
The Bible says:
“Be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
We know perfection is a journey, but we must continue striving daily to become more like Christ.
Sanctification Comes Through the Word
As we yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit:
- We become sanctified
- We become purified
- We become transformed
Sanctification comes through the Word of God.
The more sanctified we become, the more we experience:
- God’s presence
- God’s peace
- God’s protection
- God’s blessings
God rewards those who diligently seek Him.
Philippians 1:11
“Your lives will be filled with the truly good qualities which only Jesus Christ can produce for the glory and praise of God.”
Only Jesus can produce true righteousness in us.
The ability comes from Him.
As we surrender ourselves to God, Jesus Himself produces His nature within us through the Holy Spirit.
John 14:15
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
True love for God is demonstrated through obedience.
Temptation will come.
Trials will come.
But God has given us grace to overcome.
If overcoming were impossible, God would never command us to do it.
God is faithful.
As we depend on Him, He helps us overcome temptation and walk in victory.
Peace in the Midst of Trials
Even in difficult seasons, God can give us peace.
Many people are going through trials, but peace is possible when we depend on God.
As we patiently wait on Him:
- He strengthens us
- He comforts us
- He gives us peace
The peace of God is greater than material blessings.
That peace is one of the fruits of the Spirit.
Final Encouragement
The Word of God is all that matters.
Keep your eyes on the Word of God.
Do not remove your focus from Scripture.
Continue seeking wisdom and revelation in God’s Word.
Walk in obedience.
Walk in humility.
Walk in dependence on the Holy Spirit.
As you abide in Christ and in His Word, God Himself will:
- Refine you
- Sanctify you
- Strengthen you
- Protect you
- Bless you
- Make you a vessel of honor
Prayer
May your focus always remain on the Word of God.
May the Lord make you complete through the blood of Jesus Christ.
May the Lord give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of His Word.
May great grace be upon your life.
May grace, mercy, and peace be yours in full measure.
May you become passionate about the will of God and the ways of God.
May your constant desire be to please God at all times.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Remain blessed.
