He Gives Love

He Gives Love

27: He gives life

This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God’s gift to us. Romans 5:5

I urge you, friends, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love that the Spirit gives: join me in praying fervently to God for me. Romans 15:30

The Holy Spirit gives love. The Bible tells us that God is love and His Spirit is full of love. Love is a virtue that is greatly lacking in the world and in mankind because man is naturally selfish and self preserving. It is very difficult for someone who is self focused and self gratifying to have love.

This is because love requires sacrifice and God intentionally made it so. He wants love to cost us something. Love is not easy and it is not cheap. God Himself had to come as Jesus to suffer and show us love and the way to love.

In order to love, we must offer ourselves as living sacrifices and die to the flesh and human nature which loves pleasure and fun. We cannot die to the flesh without the Holy Spirit. He is the one that produces good fruits in us. God poured out His love on us by means of His Holy Spirit. The more we yield to Him and depend on Him, the more His love flows and manifests through us.

It is all by the grace of God. If we try to love by our own effort, we will fall flat on our faces because without Him, we can do nothing and man’s power is of no use as long as love and spirituality is concerned. Even physical power and energy is given by God as a blessing.

Jesus Himself loved by the power of the Holy Spirit when He was on earth. He was constantly filled with the Holy Spirit. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we will manifest hundred fold fruits of love, peace, joy, gentleness etc.

But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Matthew 13:23

He is the one that gives us the ability to love. Even the love that non believers have is from God because He is the author of life and love. Jesus Christ produces love in us by His Holy Spirit so we must cling to Him and His Spirit as Lord.

Your lives will be filled with the truly good qualities which only Jesus Christ can produce, for the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:11

May we cooperate with the Holy Spirit so that we can be filled with His Spirit and in turn be filled with the fruit of love to bless a dying world. May we become effective as Christians instead of failures in love. When we fail in love, we have failed as Christians and are no longer effective.

May we please God always by the love that the Holy Spirit gives. Come Lord Jesus.

He Makes Us Remember

He Makes Us Remember

The Spirit Of The Lord

21: He makes us remember

The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you. John 14:26

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26 NIV

The Holy Spirit makes us remember the word of God. The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to forget the word of God. When we forget the word of God, we forget the source of life and we fall into mistakes and sins. We also loose faith, love, and hope. It is the word of God that makes us grow into mature spiritual beings. The word of God, is food, air and life to our souls and the glory of God is food, air and life to the human spirit. We must know the word before the glory of God. We must know and practice His ways before tasting His essence, blood and Spirit.

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. John 15:3 NIV

You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. John 15:3 NLT

It is good to keep the word of God in our memory and retain it. When we do that, we become very conscious of right and wrong as decreed by the word of God and we will not be tempted to follow the crowd of the world in their own analysis and proclamations of what is right and wrong. We reject the world view of the world.

Remembering the word of God also protects us from false doctrines and guards us from the yeast of the Sadducees and Pharisees – false pastors, preachers, miracle workers, teachers and prophets. We easily discern and differentiate storytellers, forgers, magicians and liars from true apostles and ministers like the Berean Jews.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11

Be careful,” Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Matthew 16:6

Jesus and Paul retained and kept the word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit that was with them, that was why they did not fall. Even when Paul fell, He quickly corrected himself because the Holy Spirit reminded Him of the word of God that said you should not insult your superiors. The Holy Spirit was with him to the extent that he sometimes said, “I not the Holy Spirit.”

He was so filled and in tune with the Holy Spirit that he had to differentiate his personal thoughts and opinions from the revelations, instructions and teachings given to him by the Holy Spirit.

Then Paul said to him, “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!” Those who were standing near Paul said, “How dare you insult God’s high priest!” Paul replied, “Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written: ‘Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.’ Acts 23: 3-5

Jesus was full of grace, truth and wisdom. That means that the Holy Spirit was constantly in Him, reminding Him of relevant laws and scriptures. He constantly studied the word of God and He was reminded. If you do not study the word of God and keep looking into the perfect law of freedom, you will forget.

It means you are not partnering with the Holy Spirit, the author of the word of God and you prefer to forget. When you reject the word of God and refuse to study it, you are rejecting the Holy Spirit because He is the Spirit of The Word Of God, truth, revelation and wisdom.

You stiff-necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit! Acts 7:51

He not only makes us remember the word of God, He also gives us the ability to perform, practice and walk in the word of God.

So we can see that the Holy Spirit and the word of God are inseparable and rejecting one is rejecting the other. The thoughts and word of the Holy Spirit is the word of God. That is why Jesus was born of the Spirit because He is the word of God embodied. He is the teaching, word, though, way, will, message and revelation of God made manifest.

You must know the word and have fellowship with the word to be reminded. We need to keep looking at the perfect law of liberty. You must be thought in order to remember. So let us listen to what Jesus is saying in the Scriptures so that the Holy Spirit can remind us of the teachings we have forgotten when we need them and enable us to retain His words.

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it–not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it–they will be blessed in what they do. James 1:25

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26

So the Holy Spirit is the one who reminds us of His thoughts, words, laws, will, and ways. Glory to God! May we give Him the chance to constantly remind us of His word and bring it to remembrance when needed by sitting at His Feet and listening to His word like Mary. May we always study our Bible.

He Is The Spirit Of Faith

He Is The Spirit Of Faith

The Spirit Of The Lord

15. He is the Spirit of faith

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,“ we also believe and therefore speak, (2 Corinthians 4:13 NKJV)

The Holy Spirit is the spirit that produces faith. Any one who is trying to produce faith by his own power lacks humility and wisdom. Faith is spiritual and the author, source and giver of faith is the Holy Spirit. It is only when the word of God dwells in the hearts of men without expulsion that a men have faith. It is only by the Holy Spirits power that we can retain and not expel the word of God.

But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Matthew 13:23

Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop–a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Mathew 13:8

The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. Matthew 13:37

If we study the parable of the sower, we will observe that it is the son of man than plants the word of God in the hearts of men represented as different qualities of soil. The son of man plants the word of God by His Holy Spirit that is here on earth. It is also the son of man that breaks the soil and makes the soil a good soil, capable of accepting the good news and the commandments of God.

He prunes and purifies us by His Holy Spirit in order to enable full indwelling of the word. That is only when the fruits including faith are produced a hundred fold.

The Holy Spirit is all we need and He alone can produce mature faith and purity in us. The kind of faith that relies and depends on God not on self or our own faith. He alone is the author and giver of faith. Glory to God!

Poor Rich Man

Poor Rich Man

I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. (Revelation 2:9 ESV)

Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. (Revelation 2:10 ESV)

This Scripture depicts a physically poor man or church, yet spiritually rich. We can therefore see that physical wealth is not always an evidence of God’s approval while physical poverty is not always an evidence of God’s abandonment or lack of approval. Spiritual wealth is superior to physical wealth so any one that is spiritually wealthy yet physically poor must not be angry. God has kept those physical blessings constant in order to grow you spiritually.

Ultimately, God wants everyone to prosper even as their souls prosper but what of when things are not following that sequence and the soul is not prospering. If the soul is not prospering, God in His sovereignty can hold the physical prospering and allow poverty or health challenges as corrective measures which is a form of judgement.

Judgement begins in the house of God. Someone can be judged because of stagnant or impure faith. If we refuse to grow spiritually, God will introduce ways to make us grow and be spiritually rich. Correction is always painful and never joyful or sweet.

However, everyone does not fall under that category. God deals with everyone individually and there should be no generalisation in Christianity. If someone is born with afflictions, born blind or born with the curse of poverty as a result of ancestral idol worship, He must seek the face of God for deliverance instead of using various scriptures to conclude that it is a test or trial or that God is allowing it to grow him spiritually.

If someone is suffering as a result of a particular sin or lifestyle that he indulged in before he became a believer or as a result of repented and forsaken sins even as a believer, the blood of Jesus has cleansed Him of past sins and forsaken sins and he needs to have faith in the blood of Jesus and pray for deliverance because the blood of Jesus has set him free. He must cry out for his birthright like the widow.

But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. 2 Peter 1:9

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’

“For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’ ”

And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:1-8

A believer can suffer simply because he refuses to grow spiritually. This is what is happening in the Scripture at the top. A believer can also suffer because his faith is being tested. When his faith becomes pure, the test disappears because the purpose of the test has been achieved. Pure faith leads to absolute confidence and dependence on God and also leads to perfect and mature love. Mature faith gives birth to mature purity, love and works.

So that you may be innocent and pure as God’s perfect children, who live in a world of corrupt and sinful people. You must shine among them like stars lighting up the sky, Philippians 2:15

Faith is inward and purity, love and works are outward. Love is an expression of faith. What is in the heart will always be proved by the outward actions, behaviours and attitudes. By their fruits you shall know them. Faith is not an isolated variable but expresses itself in a pure lifestyle. Faith is multidimensional and multifaceted. We won’t be perfect like God is perfect but we can become acceptable and blameless in the sight of God the way Job and Paul were.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Galatians 5:6 NIV

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. Galatians 5:6 ESV

God has a standard and Paul said imitate me as I imitate Christ. This means he was sure of his walk with God. If we can reach the standard of Paul, we have tried however, if we can reach the standard that Jesus walked in, glory to God! We must also never forget that it is by the grace of God not by our own power.

And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” (Job 1:8 ESV)

You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. 1 Thessalonians 2:9

You worshipped God, and your life was blameless; and so you should have confidence and hope. Job 4:6

There is godly sorrow that leads to repentance and there is sorrow that leads to death. We must never confuse the two and must pray to God for deliverance and healing. Children born with infirmities, children afflicted with deadly illnesses, and other perplexing conditions do not fall under godly sorrow.

Godly sorrow will always be something that does not kill but can make you very uncomfortable to seek God more. A typical example of godly sorrow is Paul’s thorn in the flesh. I have clarified this so that people don’t mix the two up. Any sorrow that can lead to death must be treated medically and with prayer by persistent asking.

The Holy Spirit is the only one that can reveal to you the cause, reason and solution to your suffering or poverty, never conclude on your own that it is godly sorrow without the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and revelation. When I went through afflictions, the Holy Spirit had told me that I would go through serious trials. I remember that I was never afraid that the challenges would kill me even though at the time, I forgot what the Holy Spirit said.

The Holy Spirit is our leader and must be the one that reveals it all. This is the reason that victory in Christ is impossible if you are not led by the Holy Spirit.

The scripture at the top, talks of physical poverty so in that Scripture, physical poverty is the trial and thorn that the believer is experiencing. These believers are those who will be put in prison to be tested. I believe the prison is a spiritual prison of trials and tribulations not physical prisons.

However, the Lord assures them that they are spiritually rich and He also encourages them to be faithful unto death so as to receive the crown of life. May we never give up our faith when we are under trials and may we always ask for the grace to overcome.

The Key

The Key

For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. (Titus 3:3 NKJV)

But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:4- 3:8 NKJV)

This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. (Titus 3:8 NKJV)

A disobedient person is a deceived person. This is because obedience is the key to real success and health. It also guarantees a beautiful life in heaven in the after life. Why then do most people scorn and despise obedience? The reason for this error is that most people are sincerely confused and deceived because they judge by outward appearance.

They assume that because they see a lot of successful unbelievers and disobedient people, they can conclude that obedience is not necessary for happiness and success. They therefore follow other ways and routes to health and wealth. The sad truth that they don’t know is that the devil gives wealth and health – poisonous, cancerous deceptive wealth, health, success and happiness .

The devil gives the type of wealth that leads to complete destruction of body and soul. They end up deceived because they judged by outward appearance instead of seeking the true God. Anyone who loves the light goes to the light, however it is those who love the darkness that are constantly seeking blessings without seeking the true God. That is why they end up deceived.

Every good and perfect present comes from God but the deceived do not know this. They do not know that it is God that permits the favours they receive through false worship and idols. They receive it through the forbidden way that God has cursed. God as creator has created every way and road but He has ordered a superior narrow way and has commanded man to follow the narrow way.

“Prophets or interpreters of dreams may promise a miracle or a wonder, 2 in order to lead you to worship and serve gods that you have not worshipped before. Even if what they promise comes true,  do not pay any attention to them. The Lord your God is using them to test you, to see if you love the Lord with all your heart. Follow the Lord and honour him; obey him and keep his commands; worship him and be faithful to him. But put to death any interpreters of dreams or prophets that tell you to rebel against the Lord, who rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves. Such people are evil and are trying to lead you away from the life that the Lord has commanded you to live. They must be put to death, in order to rid yourselves of this evil. Deuteronomy 13: 1-5

Do not bring any of these idols into your homes, or the same curse will be on you that is on them. You must hate and despise these idols, because they are under the Lord’s curse. Deuteronomy 7:23

God hates disobedience and loves obedience but sadly, most people don’t care about obedience to God anymore. They are under the illusion that it does not matter and they point at certain committed Christians they know who are suffering various afflictions and they conclude that there is no need to worship God or obey Him. Ultimately, it is only after death that man will know his true condition.

It is possible to gain the whole world ( extraordinary blessings and favours) and loose your soul. Jesus would not have warned us if it is not a real threat or temptation. Also the devil promised to give Jesus all the kingdoms of the earth if only Jesus would worship him. This shows that the devil can give false blessings and the deceived have been enticed by the devil to worship him and despise God.

We were once deceived and disobedient but God chose us to be His own. We must therefore walk in obedience and maintain good works as redeemed children of God. That is the only way that we can please God and demonstrate that we are sons and daughters of grace and light.

He Dedicated Us To God

He Dedicated Us To God

The Spirit Of The Lord

13. He dedicated us to God

Of being a servant of Christ Jesus to work for the Gentiles. I serve like a priest in preaching the Good News from God, in order that the Gentiles may be an offering acceptable to God, dedicated to him by the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:16

But you have been purified from sin; you have been dedicated to God; you have been put right with God by the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:11

This Scripture tells us that it is the Holy Spirit that dedicated us to God. We can see from this that the Holy Spirit plays a very important role in God’s salvation. Everything that God did, He did through the Holy Spirit. Everything that God is doing, He is doing by His wonderful Spirit.

To dedicate is to set aside and offer. We are offerings that have been dedicated to God by the Holy Spirit and we are acceptable and precious in God’s eyes. We are a chosen people, royal priests and holy people. Because we are offerings to God, we must keep dedicating ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to Him by constantly renewing our minds with His words.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 1 Peter 2:9

The Holy Spirit is still active on earth, dedicating men to God. He is still helping to convert men to Christ and He dedicates them. We need to realise that we do not have the power to convert and dedicate men to God. That power belongs to God and He does it by the power of His Holy Spirit.

When we, as men partner with the Holy Spirit, conversion becomes easy because the Holy Spirit Himself will convert, offer and dedicate men to God even as we preach. After dedicating men to God, the dedicated are expected to be faithful to God.

The dedicated must be holy

To be dedicated to God is to be dedicated to His word and will. This means that we no longer live for self but for God. The dedicated now belong to someone else to serve and please that person. It is a holy and royal dedication. Even though we are now slaves of God and righteousness, it is not a bad kind of slavery but holy slavery – slaves of love.

We are His sons and daughters but when the Bible says slaves, it says so because we are still in the flesh and must suffer discomfort in sacrificing our wills and obeying God. It won’t be pleasant to do the will of God when the cost can be so tedious and uncomfortable and whether we like it or not, we are to please God as dedicated sons and slaves.

This kind of dedication has the most glorious reward, more wonderful than any human mind can imagine. Jesus showed us the true meaning of dedication and loyalty towards God and He was eventually crowned with glory.

If we allow ourselves to live out the dedication done by the Holy Spirit, we will be richly blessed and crowned with His loving presence here on earth. We will also enjoy glories and pleasures untold in heaven.

The Holy Spirit who dedicated, washed and purified us is still with us to enable us live out that dedicated life. We must keep praying to God and relying on the Holy Spirit our helper to make us victorious in Christ Jesus.

Did You Not Hear?

Did You Not Hear?

 The Spirit Of The Lord

8. He Makes Our Garments White

The Holy Spirit is the one who cleanses our garments and makes them white. He said, “buy from me white garments to hide your shameful nakedness,” and He also said, “if you have ears hear what the Spirit says.” We are to buy that garment from the Holy Spirit by letting go of the flesh with its thoughts and desires and accepting and embracing the thoughts of the Holy Spirit which is ‘ the word of God.’ We must embrace Jesus, the word of God.

He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. Revelation 19:3

I had this vision a long time ago when I was still behind in my journey to the mountaintop of grace, faith, love and maturity in Christ. We were many students in a hostel all busy with different activities. I was on my bed in the hostel when all of a sudden, a group of men with a leader came to take me away by force.

I immediately knew they were taking me to a place of torture so I began pleading, “ please don’t torture me, please don’t take me away.” The head of the group who had a stern face and was not good looking then said to me, “ Did you not hear that you are supposed to be putting on your white garment?” I shook my head in amazement. “No I did not hear, please I will put on my white garment, don’t torture me.” Then he gave me a very ugly look.

He looked at me from my feet to my head and from my head to my feet with a nasty sneer. Then he said, “look at you, you and your stomach problem.” Then I exclaimed in shock and disbelief, wondering how he knew about my stomach problem, “how did you know I have a stomach problem!” and he replied, “I know, I know, Satan has been dealing with you.” Then he left me and I came out of the vision.

Everyone in that hostel were students of the word of God, who were not putting on their white garments. They were living in disobedience and were facing all sorts of trials until they repent and put on their white garments. The white garment is for purity and the word of God is pure seven times refined. If we judge ourselves and purify ourselves with the word of God, there won’t be any need to pass us through the fire of tests and trials.

The purpose of the fire of tests and trials is purity which means putting on the word of God or the white garment. If we are purified in the word of God, the purpose of purity is achieved in us and the cleansing fire will no longer hurt us but it will baptise us.

I am sure the meaning of this vision is clear but so many truths are embedded in it. They are:

1, We must put on our white garments – the word of a God

2. I opened the door to torture by not putting on my white garment – the word of God

3. We are all students of the word of God

4. God is sovereign over Satan. Even though Satan was dealing with me, God permitted it. The root cause of my torture was spiritual deafness, stubbornness and inability to put on the word of God.

5. When I showed willingness to put on the white garment or the word of God, the tormentors left me.

6. Demons or tormentors believe in God and the word of God. Do not be deceived, it is man that does not believe in God, the word of God and defies the word of God. Man also sometimes partially believes the word of God. Do you believe that there is only one God? Good! The demons also believe—and tremble with fear.James 2:19, And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him (Matthew 18:34 NKJV)

7. God is not satisfied with partial acceptance of His word. All those students of the word of God were believers but partial believers of the word of God. They had not embraced the whole counsel of the word of God. They did not have thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God. Acts 20:27

8. Did you not hear? Where was I supposed to hear this command or announcement of putting on the white garment from? The answer is my Bible. I must read my Bible, pay close attention to the instructions and follow those instructions.

At that time a Jew named Apollos, who had been born in Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent speaker and had a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. Acts 18:24

Ezra was a scholar with a thorough knowledge of the Law which the Lord, the God of Israel, had given to Moses. Because Ezra had the blessing of the Lord his God, the emperor gave him everything he asked for. In the seventh year of the reign of Artaxerxes, Ezra set out from Babylonia for Jerusalem with a group of Israelites which included priests, Levites, Temple musicians, Temple guards, and workers. Ezra 7:6-7

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psalm 12:6

“I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. (Revelation 3:18 NKJV)

You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. (Revelation 3:4 NKJV)

“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. (Revelation 3:5 NKJV)

We are supposed to constantly put on our white garments, failure to do that will result in judgement because judgement begins in the house of God. God does not joke with faith, love, cleanness and purity.

It is so vital and imperative to put on our white garments. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can make our garments clean by constantly leading us, reminding us of the word of God and planting His words in our hearts. After cleansing our thoughts and actions, He decorates us with white garments.

He Enables Church Growth

The Spirit Of The Lord

5. He Enables Church Growth

The Holy Spirit is the one that helps Churches to grow. He is the head of the Church. In His great power and wisdom, He calls men into ministry and He is the one that strengthens Churches and enables them to grow.

And so it was that the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had a time of peace. Through the help of the Holy Spirit it was strengthened and grew in numbers, as it lived in reverence for the Lord. Acts 9:31

While they were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Acts 13:2

Sometimes, ministers step out of faith and step into the flesh trying all sorts of human methods of Church growth. I know a Church that gives its members targets in terms of the number of members to win in a month. They depend completely on the power of man and ignore the Holy Spirit. Some of them are so far off in error that they can no more hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. They started by His power but fell off from grace.

Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? Galatians 3:3

After they have wandered off into darkness and disobedience as a result of selfishness and personal gains, they embrace tricks and deceptive doctrines that tickle the ear of man but lead to hell. They also embrace magic and idolatry. All this is as a result of personal dreams and ambitions. They are not led by the Holy Spirit and do not care about the Holy Spirit and His desires. Some even want to be worshipped.

Not everyone who says to Me, ’Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness (Matthew 7:21 – 7:23 NKJV)

“But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. (Revelation 2:14 NKJV)

“Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. “Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth (Revelation 2:15 – 2:16 NKJV)

We need to be sincere in our ministry and service to God. If we genuinely love God and are filled with zeal for His work like Jesus, we won’t be led astray or be deceived. Sincerity of purpose is the only thing that will protect us from the wiles of the devil. Temptations will come but if we love God, and are sincerely and genuinely doing His work His way, with the intention of pleasing Him, we will be protected because our motives are pure.

We will also be able to resist the temptations. Mind you, the purpose of temptations and trials is for God to determine our purity. If our intentions are pure, there won’t even be need to test and try us but if tests, trials and temptations come, the purity in us will lead us to victory. It is only criminals that fall into traps and are caught.

The best one to catch criminals is a superior criminal. Satan is the criminal and scammer in chief scamming and catching other criminals like himself. Human criminals are his children and some children of God are his slaves but a slave does not belong to him permanently.

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44

And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. (John 8:35 – 8:37 NKJV)

“I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. “I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father (John 8:37 – 8:38 NKJV)

If we are driven by pride, money, selfishness and grand ideas like owning the largest ministry or being the most famous preacher, we will fall. If our focus is right, God can make us famous, and give us large ministries like Jesus. It becomes an evidence of our dedication and success even though not all ministers will have very large ministries – not all ministers will be famous.

We must not chase the wind and vanity- it is better to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness believing that all other things will be added to us. We must not seek Mammon.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:27

We must be content with the ministry that God has given us and keep depending on Him for growth without loosing focus. We must keep on nourishing the small sheep that God has placed in our care.

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:46 – 47 NKJV)

Our aim must be to love them and nourish them to spiritual maturity and heaven. God Himself, the Chief Shepherd is the one who will then grow the church and add new sheep. The congregation belongs to God not the ministers. We must not exploit and scam the sheep of Christ because we will be judged for such crimes.

Jesus had the right focus and Paul did too. If our focus is driven by selfishness and geared towards self promotion, celebration and decoration, the devil will see a road and ladder which he can use to deceive us. We will be the ones giving him a foothold.

And do not give the devil a foothold. Ephesians 4:27

However, if we realise that it is the Holy Spirit that strengthens and grows Churches, we will depend absolutely on Him to do what He alone can do even as we keep working hard, seeking the Kingdom of God and fulfilling our ministries.

If Only

If Only

““

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour. (Romans 12:10 ESV)

What a glorious Scripture. Outdo one another in showing honour. It is actually worth it for us to pause and meditate deeply on this wonderful word from the mouth of God. If only love can rule in our midst. If only the earth was perfect and everyone simply loves everyone with great and perfect love.

If only man behaved more like man and less like the lesser beings. Honestly, where will the heartache and pain come from. If only man knew how to love and outdo one another in showing love, there would be no evil on earth and no sin to attract judgement.

Man is the destroyer, it is man that destroys the earth and it is only man that can decide to be more loving towards man and more obedient to God.

As long as man refuses to love his fellow man and not submit to God, the devil will still have a wild day on earth. It is man that attracts the devil. Man fellowships with evil and sin and attracts judgemental to this earth.

The only solution to this, is for man to separate himself from evil, be submissive to God in humility and wait for a better kingdom where love rules. I wonder if the idolaters, sorcerers, racists, rapists, robbers and the hardened wicked are looking forward to a better world and kingdom where love rules.

Is it really possible to look forward to a kingdom of love when you have buried yourself in evil and wickedness? If evil, unrepentant men had a way of breaking into heaven to pollute it with their selfishness, greed and evil, they will.

If the unrepentant were allowed into heaven to continue their evil, the same unrepentant will make heaven imperfect and start criticising God as ‘atheists inside Heaven’- God forbid. They are never capable of looking inwards to realise that the problem is with man not God. Thankfully, it is only the repentant that will be in heaven. The spoilers and destroyers who love to glorify and praise sin will not have access to our pure and Holy City. Praise God.

But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie (Revelation 22:15 NKJV)

Love must be completely sincere, if our motive for doing anything including giving away everything we have and our bodies to be burnt is not pure, then we are sincerely wrong. We must never show off or parade ourselves as the holiest of all just to be praised by men.

I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned—but if I have no love, this does me no good. 1 Corinthians 13:3

I must emphasise that we cannot build on a foolish and evil foundation. Some idol worshippers that I know parade themselves as the most loving people, yet they belong to religions that depend on priests who offer human blood and blessings to demons.

A lot of people cannot discern between good and evil. They see evil and call it good and see good and call it evil. It takes spiritual wisdom to know right from wrong and please God.

But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:14

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5

The Lord gave me some specific instructions. He told me to denounce idol worship and sin and I pray for grace to pass this message across effectively. It is impossible to talk about love without mentioning the greatest crime against humanity and the principle of love.

In this great spiritual crime, innocent victims pay for the sins of others. Idol worship is so evil that anyone who is able to see its true face will shudder with disgust. It is the abomination of abominations – the head, king and ruler of all abominations and evil.

Some years ago, the Lord took me in a vision and said to me, “ I am not the one destroying the earth. Human priests are the ones destroying the earth by constantly offering human blood to the devil in an attempt to play God and save.” Human priests are the biggest destroyers, and the beneficiaries and members of false religion are their accomplices in great spiritual crimes.

Any love or good deed that does not have the blood of Jesus as its foundation is just plain vainglory. If you are a beneficiary of a religion that sacrifices to demon idols and you are in turn trying to help the victims of that religion or other religions that secretly destroyed them, how good are you?

The worst person in the good religion founded on the blood of Jesus is better than the holiest person in a false religion founded on idol worship and human blood and suffering. So, anyone who wants to love must flee idol worship which is the biggest destroyer and offence to love.

After separating yourself from being a partaker of destruction, then you can love sincerely. It is weird to claim to love, yet worship destructive demon idols. I am certainly not impressed by any so called good deeds and show off of an idol worshipper.

Idol worship is the number one destroyer on earth and I cannot talk above love and not warn against idol worship. The good deeds of an idol worshipper can never take him to heaven. He has been defiled and polluted with human blood knowingly or unknowingly. The foundation of that good deed is already stained and tainted.

Whoever does not love the Lord—a curse on him! Marana tha—Our Lord, come! 1 Corinthians 1:22

Paul pronounced a curse on anyone who does not love the Lord. Anyone one who does not love the Lord loves death and worships death. It is all one great deception. There is only one God. Imaginary idols are the different faces of death.

So then, about eating the food offered to idols: we know that an idol stands for something that does not really exist; we know that there is only the one God. 1 Corinthians 8:4

A long time ago the Lord, I was in a trance and millions of people were chanting Hail Mary, Hail Mary, Hail Mary. Then all of a sudden, my ears were opened and the Hail Mary chant changed to Hail Lucifer, Hail Lucifer, Hail Lucifer. That is death being praised. The people have been deceived to believe they are hailing Mary but in spiritual reality they are hailing death, hell, the grave and disobedience.

The Mary they are hailing, whom they have given the attributes of God to, is not the mother of Jesus, but an imaginary Mary. It’s all in the head and manufactured by unbelieving men. They rejected the word of God and outside God, lives death.

There are only two forces on earth. Life and death. If you refuse God who is life, including the laws of life stipulated in the Bible, all you have left is worship of death, even when you don’t know it. Someone can be sincere but sincerely wrong.

Preaching the good news and denouncing idol worship and sin is a service of love. My revelation is not to grieve anyone but out of love to open blind eyes unto salvation. Love is my motive. It is important for people to realise that the message we preach is a battle against death and hell no matter how annoying or irritating it may sound to those who are sincerely wrong.

So we urged Titus, who began this work, to continue it and help you complete this special service of love. 2 Corinthians 8:6

We the believers must keep working out our own salvation and keep loving and outdoing others in showing love. We must rely on God’s grace and never give up on our hope of salvation. As citizens of heaven, there is a glorious day and morning for us all when we will live in the city of love.

There, we will dwell in perfect love and constantly taste the love of God. There, the air and oxygen will be love. We will wear garments of love and constantly show and receive love. Love rules in that Kingdom, so we must keep showing love here on earth as citizens of love.

For you know what was paid to set you free from the worthless manner of life handed down by your ancestors. It was not something that can be destroyed, such as silver or gold; 19 it was the costly sacrifice of Christ, who was like a lamb without defect or flaw. 1 Peter 1:18

May we never be sincere, but sincerely wrong. May God enable and strengthen us to love others deeply. May we flee idolatry in Jesus name. May we become champions of love and outdo one another in showing and practising love under the foundation of the blood of Jesus, and His sacrificial death on the cross that set us free from useless ways of life.

Our Own Protection

Our Own Protection

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. (1 Corinthians 5:9 NKJV)

But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner – not even to eat with such a person. (1 Corinthians 5:11 NKJV)

But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.“ (1 Corinthians 5:13 NKJV)

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness, believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God (2 Corinthians 6:14- 6:16 NKJV)

A so called believer can be an idol worshipper. He or she can also be very sexually immoral. Paul warns against such believers – they are unbelieving believers. These are very serious Scriptures that are often overlooked. Some will contradict and twist the word of God by saying that we should not judge.

Paul is clearly telling us not to fellowship with the sexually immoral and idolaters. The reason is not given but if it is not dangerous to us, the Holy Spirit would not have given us these instructions through Paul. Paul also warned about fellowship with idol worshippers in general.

Some years ago, the Holy Spirit clearly spoke to me and told me not to be intimate or close to people who worship idols for instance, people who use enchanted magical objects and materials like holy water, holy or anointed oil, anointed handkerchiefs, prayer beads, etc.

We are sometimes shy when we describe things, but the Holy Spirit is never shy in description and word. He said to me. “If you keep being intimate with them, their idols will rape you over and over again and steal your glory and blessings.”

Now think of this revelation. That was when I understood that no instruction in the scripture is a joke. We might not understand it but it is always for our own good and protection. Idolaters are spiritually unclean and their uncleanness rubs off us even when we are not aware of it.

The Lord said to me, “I always wear white garment and your garment must always be clean and white. I never put on dirty garment.” He also told me never to put on black or red spiritual garment. Because I am a prophet, I can clearly see when the colour of my inner garment has changed.

If I am visiting a friend who is an idol worshipper, I can clearly see the demons change my inner garment to black. Then I fellowship hard with the Holy Spirit and He changes my garment back to white, then the demons or idols stubbornly change it back to black. and the perplexing cycle continues because I am breaking a serious spiritual principle, key or law. The environment becomes a hostile environment, not favourable to a true believer.

The only option I have is to leave that polluted environment. In such a conflicting environment, the harder I pray, the more the demons fight back. The Holy Spirit actually opens my eyes to show me exactly how ugly their savior demon idols are. If idol worshippers can have even very little idea of how ugly and disgusting their demon idols are, they will flee idolatry. No joke.

The home, the outer temple is very important in sustaining the presence of Christ in the inner temple, our hearts. Our environments need to be spiritually clean. The only way that that house can be filled with the glory of God is for the owner of the house to renounce and give up the idols. The persons will must yield and accept the gospel and the Holy Spirit. Without that, the house becomes a battle ground where two different worshippers clash and meet.

If we fellowship and are intimate with people who worship idols, they have demons attached to their aura – this makes them unclean. Because they are temples of idols or demons, when we fellowship with them, their uncleanness will rub off on us and we will get stained by their demons or idols. The demons can replicate themselves and attach themselves to our aura. They leave their imprint, footstep, stain, poo or urine on our aura. Their poo or urine is their dirty aura.

They can be acquaintances but not intimate friends. Intimacy is reserved for very loyal, loving friends who do not worship thieves and killers. Idols are spiritual thieves, killers and blood and glory suckers. The only bad intimate friend that Jesus had, betrayed Him by selling Him to the people that killed Him.

Fellowship with idolaters opens  the door to afflictions. Jesus carefully selected His apostles then selected His inner circle – Peter, James and John – The ones that loved Him like crazy. Love is very important in life because it nourishes and protects the spirit of the beloved. We must not be careless or foolish.

The Lord Himself thought me these principles of fellowship and love. Surround yourself with people who really love you and care for you. Do not allow people who hate you or who are disloyal or indifferent into your inner circle. Do not allow idol worshippers or the sexually immoral who have defiled their temples into your inner circle.

The above Scriptures are very important to God, not because they will help God but because they will help us. We must not be unequally yoked with idol worshippers, if we want to remain clean and affliction free.

We must cherish our white garments and and avoid any thing or sin that will stain them. I am not saying that it is easy, however we must persist in remaining clean by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. Persistence, patience and perseverance will surely lead us to the mountain top if we don’t give up.
