Custodians of His light
Ransomed to be
The light of the world
May we never
Disgrace the grace
Of God
Or drive people away from
The light
Because of our actions
May the bride of Christ
Not hurt
Those they should protect
Because of error
God of all grace
Crown us
With the fullness
Of your grace
Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. ” (1 Peter 5:5 ESV)
Humility
Our beautiful and handsome clock
Despised by men
But highly loved by God
In humility Jesus won
In humility Moses was victorious
In humility Paul was
In complete submission
Words cannot tell
Enough about the
Benefits of humility
Who can look down
On you precious virtue
O pretty one
Only the sons of darkness
And the unwise
We will embrace
You humility
Fruit of light
And the foundation
Of Obedience
We will cherish you
The way Jesus did
Because God opposes the proud
But gives grace to
The humble
till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; (Ephesians 4:13 NKJV)
When we truly
Know the son of God
His Word
And His ways
And walk in them
We can grow into Him
And be like him
In character and works
The fullness of Christ
Is our inheritance
Knowing Him
Is to live in Him
Walk in Him
Breathe in Him
Move in Him
Knowing Him must always
Translate into Christlike
Character, not just words.
Knowing Him means
Pleasing Him always
Our greatest quest
Should be
To know Him in word and deeds
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. (1 Peter 2:24 ESV)
Bearing the unjust
Weight of sin
Terrible and horrible
He suffered alone
With the whole punishment
Of the world upon
Upon His shoulders
He groaned
He moaned
Endured
Persisted
And persisted
It was worth it
Because
By His stripes
And punishment
We are healed
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12 ESV)
so that the tested genuineness of your faith – more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire – may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 1:7 ESV)
Fiery trials
Can be so unexpected
And intimidating
Choking and threatening
Our peace
Fiery trials
Are unpleasant
And unwanted
Because man has
Been programmed
To abhor pain
And difficulties
However
Our faith must be tested
By fire
Because it is
Precious to God
May we always
Persevere and persist
And never give
Up our faith
that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. (1 Thessalonians 2:12 NKJV)
I pray that
You will walk
Worthy of the Lord
Pure and chaste
In splendid white garment
Fulfilling His will
And your destiny
In Christ Jesus
May you grow in grace
And knowledge
Until you grow
Into the perfect
Stature of Christ

There is a river
Great and powerful
Called the water
Of life
Bright as crystal
Holy and pure
Purified and purifying
Healing us
Sanctifying us
Delivering us
From sin
And the effects of sin
Lord
Let this Holy River
Wash over us
And cleanse us
Because our greatest
Love is you
And our greatest desire
Is the Precious River
The water of life
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins (1 John 4:10 NKJV)
He loved us first
Yes He did
Even when we
Were unattractive
And lost in sin
He loved us
So that we
Can need Him
And go to Him
For satisfaction.
No where to go
No where but
At the feet of
The master
No where else to go
When I am hungry
When I am thirsty
When I am naked
I have nowhere
Else to go
I will run to you
Jesus
For spiritual food
And water
To quench this thirst
Of mine
For only you
Can truly satisfy
This yearning heart
Of mine
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 NKJV)
Who can be against us
When the Creator
Of all is with us
We will not fear
Man or demons
Death, hell and the grave
Death could not hold Him down
He is Lord above death
He holds captivity captive
He has the keys of death and life
He defeated death hell and the grave
He fought with death
And won
He won for us
All power belongs to Jesus
All authority in heaven and earth
Has been given to Him
He is supreme
He is highly exalted
Over all things
Praise God!
Jesus won the victory
Over death and punishment
