Cling to God with all
Your might
Cling to God
In good times
And in bad times
Cling to God
With your last
Dying breath
And never let go
Cling to God
Against all odds
For that is
What it means
To be a fighter
Fight!
Fight!
Fight the good
Fight of faith
Cling to God
And never let go
Or look back
Cling to God
Trust Him
Have faith in Him
Have hope in Him
Cling to God!

The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!” (Revelation 4:8 NKJV)
The four living creatures at the throne of God do not rest day and night as they praise and worship God, declaring His holiness. Do we have that attitude? Do we have an attitude of praise, worship and thanksgiving?
God loves praise, worship and thanksgiving. He keeps reminding me about the need to constantly worship, thank and magnify Him. Several times, He has said to me, “ Give me my food.”
What a mighty and holy God we serve! All He wants is faith, worship, praise, thanksgiving and obedience. He never asked for any sacrifice. Idols are so cruel and ask for human blood, glory and flesh. Our God is so Holy that all He wants from us, is for us to worship Him and love one another.
May we become very grateful and loving children of God. May we always worship Him day and night as often as we can by giving Him His Holy food.

I have determined
To be the best
That I can be
By the grace of God
Lord
May your grace
Make me all that
You destined me to be
Because
The best that I can be
Is in your divine destiny
And plan
For my life.
In your divine destiny
And plan
For my life
Is the best that
I can be

When you left
I cried
You travelled far away
And married another
I cried
I grieved
And prayed
That you would come back
If not for me
For my children
When you left
I cried
I could not let go
I lived in the past
And tormented my weary mind
With the beautiful and stubborn
Memories we had formed
Together in the past
You left
But the memories did not leave
I tried to shake them off
But they remained
I tried to let go
But I couldn’t
Until grace found me
And changed me
Power from above
And time
Healed me
Today
I am so happy
It’s unbelievable
I have found another love
Another joy
And another life
I cried
But
I cry no more
There are times
And seasons in life
I guess my season
Of sadness is over
And my season of joy is now
Lord
May it last
By your grace
Till I meet you in glory
A fictional narrative (story) poem
Message
God heals broken hearts
No matter how gloomy it is
After a bitter and harsh separation
God’s grace is bigger
He heals hearts, emotions, homes and families

As I race towards
The prize
The glory
And high calling
I forget the past
With its errors
I look steadily
Ahead
Never to gaze back
Or loose focus
I keep my eyes
Firmly fixed on
Christ
Who is the author
And finisher
Of my faith
I cling to Him
With firm and unyielding
Belief
In His ability
To help me
Get to the top of
The golden mountain
Where He has called me
To make my Home

Some people say, “there is nothing that the mind cannot do.” The Word of God says, “ there is nothing that the Holy Spirit cannot do if our hearts and minds are completely centered and focused on Him, His power and His word.” The former promotes self and self help and the latter promotes God and God – help.
With God all things are possible and with self, some things are impossible. Human power is limited. This seems obvious but it is not really obvious to a lot of self help addicts. Self help addicts have been swallowed by the more you look, the less you see and the more knowledge they think that they have by chanting, “I Can, I Can” and “I am, I am,” the more confusion and darkness they drink. God can and God is the only I AM.
Psychology, positive thinking and self help are useful but they can never replace God’s power. The Christian’s positive thinking and help is the word of God. The word of God should order our steps and thoughts and the word of God does not encourage negative thinking. Anyone who is filled with the word of God and the Holy Spirit cannot be negative minded. The fruits of the Holy Spirit are all positive,
Jesus and Paul were positive minded, however, they depended on the power of God and were filled with the word of God and the Holy Spirit. Some people’s definition of positive thinking is restricted entirely to self and human help without God. Life is all about definition. Two concepts can be defined differently by different people and have different meanings, explanations and interpretations.
The word of God transforms and renews the mind by God’s grace and power as we meditate on it and dwell in it, however, power is of the Holy Spirit. When it comes to incurable illnesses and demonic problems, psychology and self help will fail. Even head knowledge of the word of God without the Holy Ghost power does not cast out demons. Medical science with all its benefits is limited, and sometimes doctors sadly pronounce the judgement of ” Your illness is incurable.”
They can even estimate the likely date of departure from this world with some incurable illnesses. What next when all else fails? The self help champion begins to see the limitations only then. If he does not encounter that kind of challenge, he remains blind and ardently clings to his little god.
Everything has a plaice, an order and a purpose. Everything must be placed in the right perspective. Man is spiritual, not mental. Good mental qualities are very helpful but cannot cast out demons or cure incurable illnesses. Power on the other hand is spiritual not mental. It is better to be a God addict than to be a self addict. Jesus and Paul were God addicts. We need God.
They knew that human power is of no use at all. Paul knew the reality of, “His power is perfected in weakness.” His thorn happened so that he would always be dependent on God’s grace and not get carried away by pride because of the great visions and revelations that were given to Him by God,
May we never forget that the Holy Spirit is our helper. May God’s great grace be upon you as you worship Him and seek His face.

The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. (Revelation 3:21 ESV)
Jesus conquered sin and judgement for us and mercy triumphs over judgement. However, we are also expected to conquer by the help and grace of God. That is why we have the Holy Spirit our helper and the Spirit of grace. He is the one that will help us climb every mountain until we arrive at the mountain top of Christian Maturity.
And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals. ” (Revelation 5:5 ESV)
Some believers act like they do not have to do anything because Jesus did it all. Jesus did not do it all for us to be lazy and idle. We must fight the good fight of faith and the only way to fight is on our knees. Jesus defeated the devil for us so that we will be victorious in war. Jesus is a warrior and we are called to be warriors not wimps. We must be like our father and brother Jesus.
No more excuses precious breathen, rise up like warriors with the help and grace of God until you overcome. We are called to be mature, victorious and blameless and it is possible by the grace of God, your desire and prayer.
May He who started a good work in us complete it in Jesus name. Amen.

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: (Philippians 4:11 NKJV)
I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. (Philippians 4:12 NKJV)
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13 NKJV)
Have we learnt the secret of being content in every state? Jesus did and Paul did. They were the most content, resilient, joyful individuals recorded in history. God anointed Jesus with the oil of joy. They had that rare gift of peace and contentment even in the midst of the harshest trials and persecution.
There is a journey for every Christian and within that journey are valleys and lows. There must be some dry periods before we eventually get to the mountain top and are crowned with glory and favor. If we do not defeat the pleasures and cravings of the flesh and the world, we will not overcome. In that battle, there will be trials that will test our tenacity and patient endurance. When faced with these, we must remain calm and content instead of being bitter and angry,
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; (Philippians 4:6 NKJV)
Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long-suffering with joy; (Colossians 1:11 NKJV)
Christ is the one who strengthens us to be content in every state and circumstance. Without Him we can do nothing.
All we need to do is rely and depend on Christ and keep our focus on Him instead of on the flesh and the world. We also need to keep praying with peace, diligence, patience and perseverance. If we are content even as we run our race and fight to get to the mountain top, then we are truly soldiers and imitators of Christ.
