May You Be Strengthened With All Power

May You Be Strengthened With All Power

May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, (Colossians 1:11 ESV)

May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, (Colossians 1_11 ESV).png

It is only God that can strengthen us with all power as we seek His face and wait upon Him. It is not by power or might or by faith in our faith but faith in the active power of God that was made possible and available to us through the sacrifice and blood of Jesus. The more we depend on God’s power, the more self dies. The power of the Holy Spirit must not be scorned or ignored.

The same power that strengthens us for all endurance and patience with joy is the same power that will make us complete in the will of God. That is also the same power that heals and delivers us from every evil. May we never forsake or look down on this power. The more we magnify and exalt that power the more self shrinks and faith grows.

May God strengthen us with all power according to His glorious might.

That I May Know Him And His Power

That I May Know Him And His Power

That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death. (Philippians 3:10 ESV)

That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, (Philippians 3_10 ESV)

To know Christ is to taste His resurrection power. The word of God has power and that power is the Holy Ghost Power. If we abide in the word of God and allow ourselves to be transformed into the image and character of Christ, we will experience His power. However, we must also seek the face of God and wait upon Him for the Holy Ghost Power. We must learn to humbly and sincerely ask for the power and gifts of the Holy Ghost. It is those who ask that receive. Those who are too proud to ask do not receive.

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:13

When His power is active in our lives, we will have the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Our transformation should start with bearing all the fruits of the Holy Spirit and culminate in the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit.

Godly Reminders 14

The news about him spread through the whole country of Syria, so that people brought to him all those who were sick, suffering from all kinds of diseases and disorders: people with demons, and epileptics, and paralytics—and Jesus healed them all. Matthew 4:4

Jesus healed them all – diseases, infections, disorders, epilepsy, paralysis, demonic oppression and possession. The sicknesses bowed to Him and dissolved. Demons ran away in terror acknowledging that He is the son of God. Jesus proved His sonship and divinity by manifesting authority and power over death and sicknesses. Evil was scared of Jesus. Jesus rebuked demons and they quivered with terror and surrendered.

They could not contest power with Jesus because they know that they are thieves and imposters. Man was not created for sicknesses and demons but for God’s glory. Even though man is now in a fallen state because of sin, God is waiting to heal those who come to Him through Jesus. He wants to show us His love and shower us with His mercy. He is not happy about our illnesses and afflictions. He is Jehovah our healer.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. He healed, He heals and He will heal. The blood of Jesus cleansed, healed and washed us. The same eternal life giving blood still cleanses and heals and will keep healing those who run into the waiting arms of Jesus our healer, deliverer and savior.

May we seek His face today and every other day and humbly ask for His healing, life saving power.

Our Crowning Glory

Our Crowning Glory

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us – by me, Silvanus, and Timothy – was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. (2 Corinthians 1_19 NKJV)

Godly reminders 8

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us – by me, Silvanus, and Timothy – was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. (2 Corinthians 1:19 NKJV)

The son of God that was preached to us was a Yes. He is the yes to all God’s promises. This Scripture is a reminder that we should always think positively about God and Christ. We must never doubt His love and ability to help us.

Jesus came as Yes, and forgave us all our sins. He defeated death, hell, the grave and sin. He brought grace and by that grace we have overcome and can overcome if we persist in faith, prayer and righteousness.

May we be fully surrendered to His will and purpose for our lives in complete obedience and love. May His grace, light, mercy and love be our crowning glory in Jesus name.

How Can They Harm You When God Is Holding You?

How Can They Harm You When God Is Holding You?

The Lord has promised that he himself will be a wall of fire around the city to protect it and that he will live there in all his glory.” Zechariah 2:5

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore. Psalm 125:2

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Psalm 34:7

We need to get to the place where God is holding us. In this place of safely, protection and glory, God’s aura and presence surrounds us like a wall of fire. Nothing can penetrate this hedge, seal and wall.

When we are in this place of safety, who will harm us? How can they harm us? No, they cannot harm us because God is holding us.

May we get to the place of constant glory and protection in Jesus name.

He Can Be Received Through Laying Of Hands

The Spirit Of The Lord

28: He can be received through laying of hands

Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:17

Paul placed his hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came upon them; they spoke in strange tongues and also proclaimed God’s message.Acts 19:6

The Holy Spirit can be received through laying of hands. An anointed vessel can pray for us and lay hands on us to receive the Holy Spirit. We can receive Him depending on the level of anointing upon that vessel and the level of darkness in us. People born with demons and covenanted to darkness require greater anointing than those who have a clean lineage and blood line.

Just as John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit from the womb, some people are filled with demons from the womb and it is not their fault. Their blood line was polluted by parents and ancestors who worshipped idols.

And asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” Acts 19:2

We must be careful not to allow false prophets lay hands on us. Unfortunately, these day are different from the days of the apostles. There are so many false prophets out there masquerading, disguising and pretending to be apostles of light. There are many wolves in sheeps clothing like Jesus warned us in the Scriptures to expect.

Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. Matthew 7:15-20

You must study their doctrines and way of life closely to determine if they are pastors and ministers of Christ or darkness. By their doctrines and fruits you will know them. We must be like the berean believers and compare their teachings with Scriptures. False prophets will always give themselves away by their false teachings, practices and way of life. We also need to have a thorough knowledge of Scriptures in order not to be deceived.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11

Do not just accept, chew and swallow everything you see and hear – that is spiritual laziness. God gave us intellect and mind and also gave us the word of God. He expects us to use our intellect instead of being docile and lazy in spiritual things. Be of noble Character like the Berean Jews.

Once you determine that an anointed vessel is a true minister of Christ, he can lay hands on you to receive the Holy Spirit. He is God’s gift and our inheritance in Christ. When we receive the Holy Spirit, it becomes easier to obey Christ and please Him. We need Him in greater measures everyday.

He Has Activities

He Has Activities

The Spirit Of The Lord

18: He has activities

How much greater is the glory that belongs to the activity of the Spirit! 2 Corinthians 3:8

The activity of the Holy Spirit is always good. He was the one that was at work with Jesus, Moses, Joseph, Abraham and the Apostles.

The activities of the Holy Spirit are very many but I will mention some of them. He is the one that does creative work. He heals and delivers, performs miracles, and anoints men into ministry.

He purifies and sustains. He produces the fruits of the Holy Spirit and gives wisdom, understanding, revelation, wisdom, life, truth, grace, love, mercy, comfort, endurance, and fear of the Lord. He did all the great works through the prophets of old. He was with Jesus and had to come upon Jesus for Jesus to start, perfect, fulfill and complete His ministry.

Amazingly, the Bible talks about the Spirit of mercy and prayer. He is the Spirit of mercy and prayer. It is the Holy Spirit that silently instructs and enables men to pray and show mercy. He is also the source and transmitter of mercy on earth from the throne of grace. He makes mercy and glory available here on earth. He is the source and channel of glory and honor and makes men vessels of honor. Glory to God!

The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him– the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD. Isiah 11:2

I will fill the descendants of David and the other people of Jerusalem with the spirit of mercy and the spirit of prayer. They will look at the one whom they stabbed to death, and they will mourn for him like those who mourn for an only child. They will mourn bitterly, like those who have lost their first-born son. Zechariah 12:10

He was with the apostles and did great and mighty works in the acts of the apostles. Some people have even argued and suggested that acts of the apostles be renamed acts of the Holy Spirit. He was the one behind the scenes, performing wonders and spreading the gospel like wild fire. He is not wild but His love and mercy are wild and glorious.

He is the head of the Church on earth and is waiting for people who recognize His place, ministry, work, glory and activities to wait upon Him for fresh fire. With constant, daily, fresh, fire and anointing, we can do the mighty works of Jesus. Remember it’s a promise by Jesus.

May we constantly recognize the ministry and activities of the Holy Spirit, our Lord on earth. May we also always invite Him to take His place in our lives, among us and in the Church of Jesus Christ.

Day By Day

Day By Day

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16 NKJV)

This Scripture tells us that we are being renewed, day by day. We are constantly being renewed in Christ and by Christ. Sometimes it will seem like we are physically perishing and decaying because of the physical challenges and affiliations that we face, however our inner man is being renewed by God.

As long as we are seeking Him and pleasing Him in Spirit and in truth, we must not be discouraged or fear. After renewal comes glory and when glory appears, shadows and difficulties disappear into the night where they belong. When glory appears light rules and reigns and no darkness will survive there. However, we must keep marching forward to the place of glory without giving up.

As we trust God, depend on Him, walk in Him and not give up, God Himself will perfect all that concerns us and our temporary afflictions will give way to power and glory. May we never look back in Jesus name. Amen.

A Different Man

A Different Man

The Spirit Of The Lord

10. He Makes Men Different

Suddenly the spirit of the Lord will take control of you, and you will join in their religious dancing and shouting and will become a different person. 1 Samuel 10:6

The Spirit Of The Lord makes men different from their natural selves. He makes men live supernatural lives. When the Spirit of the Lord came upon Saul, He was turned into a different person. He was given supernatural gifts that enabled him to live above the normal human life.

If we study the lives of the prophets, Jesus and the Apostles especially Paul and John, we will understand clearly that they were different after they encountered the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit came upon them, they obtained the gifts of the Holy Spirit. These gifts made them different men and they ministered in supernatural ways. They were able to become different from other men in ability and wisdom.

They were gifted with supernatural wisdom and ability. Elijah called down fire, healed and raised the dead. Moses decreed God’s decree on the Egyptians and plagues tormented Egypt. Noah heard from God and built and ark, Joseph interpreted dreams, Daniel interpreted dreams and was not eaten up by Lions when he was thrown into a den of Lions.

And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God?“ (Genesis 41:38 ESV)

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has shown you all this, there is none so discerning and wise as you are (Genesis 41:39 ESV)

God wants us as believers to be different especially His Ministers. We are to be the salt of the earth, giving flavor and joy to this earth. We can only do this when the Holy Spirit is upon us and with us. Without Him, we will be mediocre individuals instead of different individuals.

May the Holy Spirit fill us, come upon us and be with us so that we can manifest the light of Christ to the world. May Christ always shine through us in Jesus name.

Power Through His Spirit

Power Through His Spirit

The Spirit Of The Lord

6. Power Through His Spirit

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, (Ephesians 3:16 NKJV)

That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, (Ephesians 3:17 NKJV)

I pray that he would give you, according to his glorious riches, strength in your inner being and power through his Spirit. Ephesians 3:16

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen (Ephesians 3:20 – 3:21 NKJV)

Might or power in the inner man means that Christ is dwelling in us. This means knowing and experiencing the love of Christ. Christ is the power and wisdom of God. He can live in you with a lot of glory and He can live in you with scanty or no glory. He is there but you won’t feel or experience His glory just like when the glory left Israel. Do you remember Ichabod ?- the glory has departed or no glory.

God is everywhere but His glory is not everywhere. His glory dwells in heaven and visits earth. However, He is in Hell as the omnipresent God in all of creation, but His glory is completely absent in Hell. Wrath or punishment is what lives in hell and these are caused by the human nature and disobedience not God.

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. Psalm 139:8

The power of Christ resting upon the spirit of man is the love of Christ. It is possible for us to be Christians yet Christ is not dwelling in the inner man. Rather, weakness, infirmity and decay dwells in the inner man. Paul said this prayer because he recognised the need to pray for us to be strengthened with might or power in the inner man. God is able to do this in Jesus name.

Christ already lives in us. This is talking about Christ as the power and glory of God. It is talking about His manifest presence dwelling in us. Christ’s Spirit lives in every believer but the glory in every believer varies. The Bible says we are being transformed from glory to glory. This means that the glory or manifest presence of Christ in us must keep increasing, till we are filled up, and surrounded by His very essence, beauty and glory.

Christ dwelling in us through faith means unwavering belief in the blood of Jesus that set us free, praying with expectation and not wavering or doubting. It means constant praise, worship, thanksgiving and rejoicing. We do all these with persistence and perseverance without turning back or giving up.

These are all acts of faith. Faith is a multidimensional concept with many variables. As long as we embrace and practice the variables of faith persistently with love, worship, thanksgiving, praise and expectation God will not fail us. He is a faithful God – if we draw near to Him in faith, He will draw near to us.

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 1 Corinthians 3:16

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 3:20

And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. 11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Romans 8:10-11

The Scripture topic at the beginning of this post is also talking about the attributes of God. Christ can live in us yet we have not yet crucified the flesh and the Holy Spirit is not controlling our lives. Christ refers to the power, word, wisdom, glory, and grace of God. The more grace of God we have, the more understanding of the Scriptures which builds faith.

The more grace we have, the more we are able to practice the word of God, are led by the Spirit and follow God’s plan for our lives. The more grace we have, the more we are generally able to please God. These will ensure the manifest presence of God resting on us and going with us everywhere. Meaning that Christ now dwells in us and walks with us.

Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. Exodus 33:15

Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so. Hebrews 13:9

Power resides in the grace of God and every good thing comes by the grace and ability of God. Man’s power is useless. The more we seek God and rely on His grace, the more successful we will be in our Christian lives. We cannot even have faith or practice the word of God without His grace so we must never forget the grace of God even as we seek Him and meditate on the Scriptures to build faith.

Only God and God alone can make us mature Christians. He alone can guarantee power in the inner man through His Spirit. He alone will enable Christ to dwell in us even as we wait upon Him and continue to seek His face daily.
