Godly Reminders 2

The Lord loves faithfulness, commitment and righteousness. We must constantly remember that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Seeking Him involves pleasing Him always and spending time in prayer. It is simply not enough to say ” I have faith” and be idle and disobedient. We must show our faith by imitating Christ and living the way He lived. Christ demonstrated His faith by complete obedience and prayer. We should too.

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”

When we imitate Christ and think and act like Jesus, God will also anoint us with power and the oil of joy. The anointing will give life to our faith and break yokes. May God give us the grace to never get distracted and loose focus so that we can arrive at the mountaintop of Christian maturity.

Faith without works is dead and works without faith are dead…

    Faith and works are inseparable…

    Keep sharing the truth

  • Your words are precise, and hit the point clearly. Commitment daily, maintaining faith and all our daily work for Jesus.

    Lovely post

  • “We must show our faith by imitating Christ and living the way He lived. Christ demonstrated His faith by complete obedience and prayer. We should too.” The Christian message couldn’t get any simpler than that… and yet Christians throughout the world struggle with this very basic concept…we want to be Christians, yet so often we are act more like spoiled children…failing to adhere to the simple rule of obedience and prayer. It is precisely why, if you are a parent…we must teach our children to obey in the little things…so as they grow, they will be able to obey the Lord in the bigger things. Great post.

Thanks for the very insightful response. So true, the Christian message couldn’t get any simpler. There are so many voices, distractions and messages pulling Christians in many directions. As a result, we struggle with sound biblical focus.

We often act like spoilt children but it is only when we truly find our way back to the ancient way and eternal highway and walk in the ways of Jesus that we can enter God’s rest. Blessings ❤️❤️❤️🙏

  • We are saved by grace, not works but good works are the proof of our repentance. A Christian must do good works but must also live holy. good works extend the kingdom of God and brings others to Christ.

You cannot be saved by works because good works could be a selfish act! You could be helping someone so that you feel better or good about yourself. Also, to show off to people so that you look good.

    Awesome post! God bless you.

Thank you so much for the wise words. So well said, good works are the proof of our repentance. However, some good works are done with impure and selfish motives. Blessings ❤️❤️❤️🙏
