Revelations And Messages 9

9: Crave Spiritual Gifts

Earnestly pursue love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. 1 Corinthians 14:1

Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. 1 Corinthians 14:10

After writing about the power of the Lord yesterday, I closed my eyes to sleep last night and the Lord spoke to me and said, “crave spiritual gifts,”

To crave means to ardently and powerfully desire, hunger and thirst. The truth is that if we are not hungry or thirsty we will not be baptized with power or glory. God expects us to yearn, crave and desire glory.

Jesus is the glory and power of God. We need to taste Jesus and eat Him the way the Israelites drank from the spiritual rock that went with them. The cloud is the rock and that rock is Jesus. Jesus is the manifest presence of God. He is the aura, substance, life, glory, power, grace, mercy, love, materiality, flavor, fragrance, perfume, blood and glory of God. He is the God that we can see, feel and touch spiritually.

They were all under the protection of the cloud, and all passed safely through the Red Sea. 2In the cloud and in the sea they were all baptized as followers of Moses. 3 All ate the same spiritual bread 4 and drank the same spiritual drink. They drank from the spiritual rock that went with them; and that rock was Christ himself. 1 Corinthians 10:1

When the Lord appears to me, He usually descends from heaven in form of cloud and sometimes the cloud opens up and I see Jesus inside the cloud. Sometimes He comes in form of light. When He is ascending back into heaven after speaking with me, I wave vigorously and sometimes cry. I never want Him to leave but He would smile and say, “ see you in heaven or I love you.” I would keep looking until the cloud disappears into the clouds of heaven.

Spiritual gifts are our birthright and we loose out if we don’t have them. I have some gifts already but the Lord wants me to crave for more gifts. He is willing and ready to give. I believe this applies to the whole body of Christ. We need to yearn, hunger, thirst, and crave for spiritual gifts without distraction.

Faith is very good and I am a woman of faith but God wants our faith to translate into power and gifts not just mere talk. If our faith does not make us crave for, be led and filled with the Holy Spirit and constantly taste God’s glory, it is a deceptive, distractive faith. True faith will always depend on God and magnify the power of God not self. True faith will lead us to the mountain top of spiritual maturity and make us vessels of honor. True faith will make us desire, revel, delight and bask in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Any faith that ignores the Holy Spirit is fake. The armor of God includes praying always in the Spirit.

Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication (Ephesians 6:18 ESV)

We need to crave and desire spiritual gifts for our own good and the edification of the Church of Jesus Christ. God wants to decorate and beauty us with His gifts but are we willing and ready to ask? Do we really care for or want those gifts or are we just after physical blessings?

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness and holy gifts.
