It makes no sense
To give your heart
To a fool
Treasure it and
Give it to the one
Who deserves it

An Opportunity
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19 NKJV)
When sorrow comes
Like a flood
We must see this as
An opportunity to
Be steadfast in
Loving Christ
And rejoicing in Him
Who has the power to crush
Sorrow.
It is an opportunity
To pray and depend
On God.
When our enemies come
Against us
He who destroys
With the breath of
His mouth
Will lift up a standard
Against them
And destroy them.
Sorrow is never pleasant
And God does not
Want us to be in sorrow
However, because we
Are human, we are
Not immune to it
God feels our pains
And sorrows
And will finally wipe
Out all sorrows
At the end of time.
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4 NKJV)
Now that we are
Still in time
We can overcome
Sorrow by constant
Prayer and an attitude
Of constant joy
And delighting in Christ
For His blood that
Set us free
Through thanksgiving, praise
And worship
It is in prayer, praise
And worship
That He manifests
