When God Hides Himself: A Call to Repentance and Growth
I Hid Myself
Hello, welcome to another message. In this message, I want to share a revelation I received from the Lord—something I believe can benefit and apply to everyone.
There were certain instructions God gave me concerning my ministry. I was obeying some of them, but I was not faithful with others. Some things He clearly told me to do, I was only doing partially, and not in the way He wanted.
Over time, I noticed something changed. I stopped feeling God’s presence the way I used to. I could sense that something was wrong in my relationship with Him. I also began experiencing unpleasant situations that made me uncomfortable.
That made me realize something had gone wrong, so I began to seek the Lord again.
Then I made a decision to go back to everything He had instructed me to do. This time, I obeyed wholeheartedly and diligently. I also devoted myself more to fellowship—prayer, worship, studying the Word of God, supplication, and seeking His presence.
As I did this, I began to experience God in a deeper dimension again. Then the Lord spoke to me and said: “I did not leave you. I hid Myself from you so that you would correct yourself and do exactly what I told you to do.”
That word opened my understanding in a new way.
God had not left me—He had only hidden Himself. And I realized this is often what happens in our walk with Him. We may feel distant from God, but it does not always mean He has departed. It may be a signal that something in our obedience or alignment needs correction.
The Bible says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” That is His promise.
Sometimes, God withdraws the feeling of His presence so that we can examine ourselves, return to obedience, and realign with His instructions. He is always there, but our sensitivity to Him may be affected when we are not walking in obedience.
This is why obedience is very important in our relationship with God. We cannot ignore or underestimate what He commands us to do. True fellowship with God is not about routine or religious formulas—it is about relationship and obedience.
If we are not led by the Holy Spirit, we can easily miss God’s direction and even find ourselves in the wrong places, wrong decisions, or wrong relationships. That is why Scripture says, “Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.”
When we consistently fellowship with God through prayer and His Word, we begin to hear His voice more clearly. The Holy Spirit guides, teaches, and directs us. But we must also obey what we hear.
Obedience strengthens our sensitivity to God. Disobedience, on the other hand, can make us feel distant from Him—not because He has left, but because He is drawing our attention back to correction.
Christianity is not about formulas—it is about a living relationship with the Holy Spirit. He is not just a force; He is a person. We need Him every day.
As believers, we must develop a vibrant, consistent relationship with Him—one built on love, obedience, and fellowship. That is how we grow into maturity, victory, and spiritual strength.
I pray for you today: May you constantly be led by the Holy Spirit. May your spiritual sensitivity be increased. May the grace of God rest upon you. May the Lord grant you wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. May His presence go with you always. May you walk in victory, favor, and divine direction.

Don’t fall in love without wisdom. Don’t let emotions and the flesh control you. God has made you bigger than that. Be intentional and purposeful when it comes to giving away your heart.
Falling in love with someone that does not fit into your destiny and purpose makes no sense.
It shows the flesh, disobedience and emotional decisions.
Falling in love foolishly without the wisdom of God is often a sign of the flesh overruling discernment, wisdom, and obedience.
Love is powerful, but love without wisdom can become a trap.
Many people pray for God’s will yet ignore God’s warnings when emotions become involved.
The flesh sees attraction.
The Holy Spirit sees consequences.
The flesh sees beauty.
The Holy Spirit sees character.
The flesh sees what feels good today.
The Holy Spirit sees where that relationship will lead tomorrow.
Samson was not destroyed because he lacked strength.
He was destroyed because he ignored discernment.
His emotions became louder than God’s warnings.
Not every person who enters your life was sent by God.
Some relationships are assignments.
Some are distractions.
Some are tests.
Some are strategically positioned by the enemy to weaken your prayer life, drain your spiritual hunger, derail your focus, and hinder your destiny.
The Bible says in Amos 3:3, Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?
Marriage is more than companionship.
It is partnership.
You will share faith, values, direction, vision, purpose, and responsibilities.
When two people are moving in opposite spiritual directions, conflict becomes inevitable.
Feelings make terrible leaders.
The scripture declares in Jeremiah 17:9 that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.
Many people have ignored red flags because of emotions.
Many have excused bad character because of attraction.
Many have delayed their destiny because they refused to let go of the wrong relationship.
Godly relationships strengthen purpose.
Wrong relationships compete with purpose.
God did not create you to spend your life fighting battles that could have been avoided through discernment and obedience.
Seek God’s direction before giving away your heart.
Pray before you pursue.
Discern before you commit.
Obey before you become emotionally attached.
Choose purpose over temporary feelings.
Choose character over charm.
Choose God’s will over emotional impulses.
The right relationship will not pull you away from God.
It will push you closer to Him.
May God give you wisdom to recognize the right people, courage to walk away from the wrong people, and discernment to protect your destiny, in Jesus’ name, amen.
