God’s Power Executes Judgement

So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, hand this man over to Satanfor the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 5:4-5

It is God’s power that executes judgement, and hands a person over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh. People are so scared of Satan, and are not scared of God, yet the Bible advices us to fear the one who can destroy both body and soul in hell.

God wants us to love Him, and obey Him out of love and reverence, but for those who find it so difficult to love God, they can least fear Him as the judge. That is simply wisdom.

We fear authority here on earth and a lot of people do not want problem with police, the law, law enforcement officers, the judge etc. But man is easily deceived into not fearing instituted spiritual authority.

Well, God is the spiritual authority, power and judge. He simply hands man over to Satan or spiritual tormentors and prison wardens until they pay the full fine and penalty.

And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. Matthew 18:34

Jesus had fear of the Lord so who are we to mock God and insult Him?

All power belongs to God, including the power of judgement. In this Scripture, Paul passed judgement on a man that was having immoral relationship with his father’s wife and asked the Church to hand the man to Satan by God’s power for the destruction of the flesh.

They were asked to do this when the power of God manifests. That was the same fate that Ananias and Sapphira suffered.

Behold the kindness and sternness or severity of God. God can save and destroy, kill and give life. His has the power of justice and must execute justice as a just God. He is not partial so we need to think twice before harming others.

What we sow is what we will reap, but mercy triumphs over judgement, and when this world is over, those in the Kingdom of God will say final goodbye to judgement. All powers will be destroyed. Death will be destroyed, victory will be sure and everlasting – Glory to God.

God’s Power 17

To another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:10

God gives His ministers miraculous powers. Jesus, The Apostles, Moses, and Elijah all had miraculous powers. God makes His ministers flames of fire. That fire is the raw presence of God Himself. It is the very life, substance, essence, blood, issue, radiance and fragrance of God.

When God puts His blood upon His ministers, they are able to do the works of God. It is actually God, living in and doing His works through men of God.

The power of God is what heals and delivers and God often uses His ministers to heal and deliver. You can also ask for, and receive a taste of God’s power by yourself by seeking His face. God can manifest Himself to heal and deliver those who call upon Him. He does all these by His glorious power.

May God heal, and deliver us from all infirmities by His great power. May great grace, be upon us in Jesus name.

Gift

God’s Power 16

I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power. Ephesians 3:7

We started by God’s power and need to realize that we can only succeed and finish by God’s power.

It is God’s power that makes us born again and makes us ministers. Being a minister is a gift of God’s grace.

But Of Power

God’s Power 15

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. 1 Corinthians 4:20

It is very important for the Church to crave spiritual gifts and pray fiercely for the gifts of the Holy Spirit. If we talk too much without any of the gifts of the Holy Spirit or the power of God, people will get discouraged.

Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues ? Do all interpret? Now, eagerly desire the greater gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:29-31

If the power of God or the gifts of the Holy Spirit was not vital and important, the Bible would not have talked about it. We cannot really accomplish much without the power of God. It is even the power of God that convicts and makes people understand, when ministers are preaching or teaching. Without the power of God it will just be mere talk without result.

The Kingdom of God should be a matter of talk and power, not just talk.

Power To Understand

God’s Power 14

May have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, Ephesians 3:18

It is God’s power that makes us understand Him and His love. There is nothing about God that we can understand with our own power.

He is the one that opens blind eyes and minds. A blind mind is a mind that has been deadened by death and darkness. We were all born blind and deadened with the inability to grasp and understand the word of God.

Wisdom and understanding come by grace and revelation through the Spirit of God. We need power to understand the love of God. Not just His love, but how great, how wide, how deep, how long and high that love is.

Understanding the love of God builds confidence, trust, faith and love for God. Love will always beget love. The reason that a lot of people do not love or trust God, is because they do not believe in the love of God. They don’t believe that God is full of love and mercy.

Even a lot of people who worship God with their lips, and say they believe in God’s love and love Him, deny Him with their actions. Your actions will always reveal if you love God.

If you claim to love God, yet, go around hating others and harming them, you do not love God but are a pretender. From the beginning of time, pretenders have always existed so it is nothing new – people will always pretend to love God and outwardly go around posing and parading themselves as God – lovers, yet they are evil and unwilling to change.

To them, it is simply a game and a way of deceiving others in other to take advantage of them. Remember that Jesus called the Pharisees and Sadducee’s snakes. He also called them hypocrites. Satan also masquerades as an Angel of light.

Deception is always preceded by a sinister motive. People never pretend, in order to do good. They pretend, in order to do evil and harm. They pretend, in order to cover up their true motives and intentions. They learnt that skill from the devil. The devil that we can’t even see, yet he talks to us, Mmmm.

Men do this very skillfully, when they want to exploit and violate women, and women also do this, to take advantage of rich men or gain other benefits. People simply pretend to love in order to harm. However, they are pretending for what they want to gain. What an irony – love should be for love not harm. Man has simply perverted all of God’s good creation.

Love is what we were commanded to have, and love comes through knowledge of God, which only comes from God’s power.

May we truly understand the love of God, through God’s power. May we always depend on God’s power for wisdom, revelation and truth.

More Than

God’s Power 13

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

Most of the time, we limit God or look down on His grace and power. Sometimes, we see Him the way we see ourselves or other humans. We are simply incapable of seeing God the way He is. This infirmity is natural in humans.

Truly seeing God, the way He is, is the epitome of faith. Faith is a way of understanding and the ability to see God. To understand is to see and to see is to understand.

God is able to do much more than we can ask or imagine! We have not yet imagined what God can do. We have not yet magnified His power and ability to even a little fraction of what it is.

We need to see the greatness of God, and the littleness of our problems. We must constantly keep enlarging God in our minds and keeping shrinking our problems and reducing them to ants before God.

Our problems should not be giants in our eyes. The more we enlarge our problems and see them as impossible giants, the more we reduce the power of God in our eyes, reduce faith and even give up.

God is larger, higher and bigger than what we can ever think or imagine. Give Him His proper place in your mind. Place your weakness, shortcomings, limitations and infirmities at His feet and place them beside Him, in comparison and see them as ants before and beside Him.

According to God;’s power In us, He can do much more than we can imagine, and move great mountains. Mountains are nothing before Him and He alone knows how to crush, smash, evaporate, detonate , liquify and consume great mountains.

He will level all your mountains before you to nothing and uplift you. Just realize that His power at work in us can do much more than we can imagine and keep seeking His face.

Power In The Inner Being

God’s Power 12

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being. Ephesians 3:16

Power is obtained through asking, petition or supplication to God. Paul prayed and asked that the recipients of his letter be strengthened with power through the Holy Spirit.

There are different forms of prayer – praise, worship, thanksgiving, confession, supplication, intercession and petitions. However, asking when it is for yourself is petition and supplication. When asking is for someone else it is intercession.

Here Paul is interceding. It is a form of asking. So we can ask for ourselves. If we just limit prayer to confession or praise and never ask, we are not praying like Jesus and Paul.

We must pray the all prayer that Paul mentioned in Ephesians 6.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Ephesians 6:18

May we always remember to pray with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit. May we pray with humility for God to strengthen us with power through His Spirit in the inner man. The more that power or glory increases inside you, the more you will be cleansed and filled with the presence of Christ.

You already have His Holy Spirit living in you. All you need now, is for the temple of your heart to be filled with God’s glory or power. May great grace be upon us in Jesus name.

Brave

The human mind is a little bit funny or maybe very funny or maybe weird. I do not understand why we humans, cling to people who do not love us and who do not even want us to be part of their lives all in the name of love. That is not love, but inability to let go, or sometimes obsession.

If someone does not want you, let go and let God rule in your life. God will certainly add all other things to your life as you seek Him and seek His kingdom first.

Learn to be happy – single or married. Learn to thank God in all circumstances even as you wait upon Him and seek His face, for your hearts desire. Be emotionally brave.

God’s Power Resurrects

God’s Power 11

By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 1 Corinthians 6:14

It is God’s power that heals and gives life. God’s power raised our Lord, Jesus from the dead. The power of God will also revitalize our mortal bodies and heal us from every defect and infirmity, including the infirmity of the mind which leads to lack of spiritual understanding.

May God’s power resurrect every dead thing in our lives – poor health, poor finances, bad relationships etc, in Jesus name. May God’s great power, deliver us from every evil.

Perfected In Weakness

God’s Power 10

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my poweris made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

The more you know your human weakness, and it’s limitations, the more the power of God will be perfected in you. The more you know your own weakness, the more you will depend on, and rely on God.

The more you deny your human weakness and live in some false grandeur, glory and power by attributing power to yourself, the more you will find it hard to experience the power of God.

God does not want to share His glory with anyone – power belongs to God alone, and mercy too. That is the truth and God cannot deceive us into error. Satan, however misleads man into attributing the power that belongs to God, to himself.

May we always recognize the power of God. May we always remember that God’s power is perfected in weakness.
