Break The Power Of The Wicked
Great God Jehovah
Glorious and powerful
Mighty in battle
Hear the cry of your children
And break the power of the wicked
Deliver the oppressed
Afflicted
Sick
Poor
And weak
Mighty deliverer
Our hope is in you
We look up to you
And ask for help
Let your mercy
Come upon us
By the blood of Jesus
And Holy Ghost fire
Amen
Psalm 10
1Ā Why,Ā Lord, do you stand far off?
Ā Ā Ā Ā Why do you hide yourselfĀ in times of trouble?
2Ā In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak,
Ā Ā Ā Ā who are caught in the schemes he devises.
3Ā He boastsĀ about the cravings of his heart;
Ā Ā Ā Ā he blesses the greedy and reviles theĀ Lord.
4Ā In his pride the wicked man does not seek him;
Ā Ā Ā Ā in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
5Ā His ways are always prosperous;
Ā Ā Ā Ā your laws are rejected by him;
Ā Ā Ā Ā he sneers at all his enemies.
6Ā He says to himself, āNothing will ever shake me.ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā He swears, āNo one will ever do me harm.ā
7Ā His mouth is fullĀ of lies and threats;
Ā Ā Ā Ā trouble and evil are under his tongue.
8Ā He lies in waitĀ near the villages;
Ā Ā Ā Ā from ambush he murders the innocent.
His eyes watch in secret for his victims;
9Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā like a lion in cover he lies in wait.
He lies in wait to catch the helpless;
Ā Ā Ā Ā he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.
10Ā His victims are crushed,Ā they collapse;
Ā Ā Ā Ā they fall under his strength.
11Ā He says to himself, āGod will never notice;
Ā Ā Ā Ā he covers his face and never sees.ā
12Ā Arise,Ā Lord! Lift up your hand,Ā O God.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Do not forget the helpless.
13Ā Why does the wicked man revile God?
Ā Ā Ā Ā Why does he say to himself,
Ā Ā Ā Ā āHe wonāt call me to accountā?
14Ā But you, God, see the troubleĀ of the afflicted;
Ā Ā Ā Ā you consider their grief and take it in hand.
The victims commit themselves to you;
Ā Ā Ā Ā you are the helperĀ of the fatherless.
15Ā Break the arm of the wicked man;
Ā Ā Ā Ā call the evildoer to account for his wickedness
Ā Ā Ā Ā that would not otherwise be found out.
16Ā TheĀ LordĀ is King for ever and ever;
Ā Ā Ā Ā the nationsĀ will perish from his land.
17Ā You,Ā Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted;
Ā Ā Ā Ā you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,
18Ā defending the fatherlessĀ and the oppressed,
Ā Ā Ā Ā so that mere earthly mortals
Ā Ā Ā Ā will never again strike terror.

Laura, this kind of goes right along with my blog post, “Where are You God?”. Often times we feel like God has left, when in reality He’s still there, we just are not in a position to sense His presence. Even in the midst of struggles when it seems like the whole world is against us, He is still close by holding us in His arms. Great post!
Thank you so much for the lovely and insightful words. So true, sometimes it seems as if God is not present because we canāt see Him but He is always there.
By faith we cling to Him and believe He is with us even when we pass through the toughest storms and trials. He will be with us till the end of time and He will never leave us or forsake us. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Yessssss!!! In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ!
