Another Gospel

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:8 NKJV)
As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:9 NKJV)
I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ (Galatians 1:6 – 1:7 NKJV)
There is a curse on people who preach other gospels different from the one that Jesus and the Apostles preached. The gospel that Jesus and the Apostles preached is our benchmark, yardstick, standard, guide, model, pattern, point of reference and measuring rod. We must compare our doctrines and teachings with the teachings of Jesus and the apostles to ensure there are no deviations and variations. The Berean Christians did it.
Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true. Acts 17:11
We have the Scriptures and a gospel that we must never overlook or contradict. Even if an angel comes from the sky or a spirit puts on clothes that look like Jesus’s clothes and claims to be Jesus then contradicts the Bible we must not accept it. We must test the spirits with the word of God. John said that any spirit that says Jesus did not come in flesh is an anti Christ Spirit. Bible contradictory and conflicting teachings are anti word of God because the word of God glorifies Jesus. False teachings glorify the flesh. They are the imaginations and works of the flesh.
For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Matthew 24:24
Jesus also warned us that false Christ’s will appear. False Christ’s and false Apostles will appear because they were prophesied by the Scriptures but they are under a curse. Teachers must ensure that they follow the holy benchmark or standard. If they deviate and start preaching false doctrines, they become false apostles and invoke curses on themselves. The worst curse of it all is hell and the second death.
Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ Matthew 7: 21-23
May God protect us all from false Christ’s, false apostles and false gospels.

“…if possible, even the elect…”
praise God and our Lord Jesus Christ, we know His voice
Amen, we know His voice. Glory to God. 🙏
Very good words. You inadvertently answer a question I sometimes get, which is, “Why don’t Jews believe in Jesus?” The answer (a general part of it) is that the ‘Jesus’ they are rejecting is said to have changed the Bible. They are thus correct to reject him.
What!?! Correct to reject Jesus?! The ‘Jesus’ that Jews, for the last 1600 years or so, have been rejecting is a Jesus that is said to have changed the Bible. Early on in Christianity, and taught by the so-called early ‘church fathers’, a virulent anti-Jewish sentiment and theology broke in and took over. Anything Jewish was deemed ‘bad’. Theology developed that even changed the 10 Commandments (’10 Statement’ as they are called in the Bible). This quickly developed in to horrible violence against Jews and places Jewish. Over the centuries, the violence has ebbed and flowed, but the the anti-Jewish theology has grown and taken such deep root that if one even challenges some of the anti-Jewish thoughts, one is labelled a ‘heretic’ or ‘unbeliever’.
It is such a ‘Jesus’ that Jews reject.
When the true Jesus (Yeshua) of the Bible is preached, the number of Jews coming to belief in him was, and is, significant. Of course many didn’t, and still don’t, accept the true Yeshua, just as a huge percentage of gentiles don’t.
To end this, Matthew 7:21-23 tells us about who Yeshua (Jesus) really is and how to be known by him. Note that he didn’t say, “you don’t know me.” Instead, he said, “I never knew you.” The context of that statement makes it clear how we come to be known by him: we follow God’s laws, be they written on tablets or on our hearts.

Thanks a lot for the very informative and insightful words. Whenever man substitutes religion for worship in spirit and truth, they distance themselves from God. If man is not humble before God, He can take God for granted and think He knows Him so well even when He is going further away from Him.
I think God wants us to come to Him like little children. That way, we won’t miss Him. God went to His chosen people but many of them did not recognize Him. They had boxed God into a certain model and they found it difficult to be flexible in their vision of God.
May God give us the grace to be constantly humble and always search the scriptures to have a thorough knowledge of Scriptures so that we will not yield to another gospel. 🙏❤️❤️❤️
In Jesus Name Amen! Thank you Lord!
Yep, very true. I’d hate to be in the shoes of the human TEACHERS of other Gospels at the Judgement Day.
Yes. False teachers who mislead others will face severe judgement. ❤️🙏
