I Am Not An Object. I Am A Person

The Spirit Of The Lord

24: I am a person

Sometime ago, the Holy Spirit Spoke to me and said, “I am not an object, I am a person.” He said this and I was startled.” I thought I was ok with Him but I was not. I had forgotten to do some of the things He told me to do in order to bring down His presence and maintain a healthy relationship with Him.

I was spending time in His presence like He instructed me to but I was not ministering to Him. I was not talking to Him and treating Him like a real person. I would just play praise and worship songs and read my Bible which is also necessary, but I did not talk to Him so He had to remind me that He is a person.

He had told me in the past to always talk to Him, sing to Him with my own mouth and heart, sing hymns to Him and make melody to Him. He also instructed me to compose poems and say them to Him, tell Him all my concerns, likes and dislikes, what hurts me and what makes me happy like how you talk with someone that you know is present whom you have a relationship with. I was wondering why I had to say them because He is God and knows everything.

He told me He knows them but I must say them to Him and express myself to Him. Surprisingly, He is there and would speak directly into my mind when I do that. But sometimes I just forget that He is a real person and ignore Him. I would just go through all my list of prayer activities and not even talk to Him and with Him. He had to correct me and remind me that He is a real person, not an object.

Lesson I learned from this revelation is that the Lord wants us to relate to Him like a real person and not some faraway person that we come to just to get our needs met. It is good for us to want our needs met but that must not supersede our relationship, communion and fellowship with Him. He so deeply wants a relationship and He is a person not an object. Every person desires a satisfactory relationship. He does too.

He Gives Conviction And Assurance

The Spirit Of The Lord

23: He gives conviction and assurance

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: “of sin, because they do not believe in Me; “of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more (John 16:7 – 16:10 NKJV)

The Holy Spirit is the one that makes us sure and certain that we are saved. He makes us hold steadfastly to the good news of salvation without shaking or wavering.

The Holy Spirit also gives conviction. Conviction is a firmly held belief or opinion. Where there is total darkness or doubt, He will step in to shine His light and let it reign. We are not able to accept light and truth without the Holy Spirit’s enablement. As the giver of life, knowledge, wisdom, revelation and truth, conviction will not enter and stay in our hearts concerning any topic or subject in the word of God without the power of the Holy Spirit. He is the one that gives life and light to the mind and soul.

Deadness of the mind and soul is darkness. Darkness exists where there is absence of truth and where there is absence of truth, sin, evil, death and judgement reign. People without truth commit sin without even knowing that their actions are sinful or destructive.

They cannot discern between good and evil. What their religion teaches them is good is evil and what they believe is evil is good. That is because the devil has perverted truth and the scripture and turned everything upside down in their minds and souls. These are known as hidden sins. These sins are hidden from the consciousness and knowledge of man.

Redemption

The Holy Spirit convicts us about our redemption – He is the one that enables us believe that all our past and forsaken sins are forgiven and cancelled. He makes us stand on the word of God to resist the devil steadfast in faith, conviction and confidence. He exalts the finished work of the cross and makes us rejoice in our salvation.

Without Him, we will keep on making sacrifices and offerings for sins like pagans. Without Him, we will be ruled by guilty conscience that exalts death and looks down on the word of God. When people exalt death and judgement they ultimately believe that judgement and death is greater than God’s grace.

This leads them to offer sacrifices for sins. They believe that God cannot forgive sins or that God has not forgiven our sins and that they have to offer sacrifice to Him for sin and that human beings must pay for their sins. They refuse to believe that God Himself can be so gracious and that He Himself paid with His own blood in the form of Jesus.

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. Acts 20:28

A believer, however believes that God’s grace is greater than all our sins and that mercy triumphs over judgement. They rejoice in the Lord’s grace, mercy and love and exalt Him. Even when they experience adversity, they do not renounce God and His grace and become negative about God. They still cling to His mercy even in torture and drowning.

Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:3

The Holy Spirit is also the one that convinces us that Jesus is Lord. He is the one that makes you believe that Jesus is Lord. The same way He makes us believe that Jesus is Lord is the same way He makes us believe in the blood of Jesus. He is the one that makes us believe that the blood of Jesus has set us free. The Scripture says that no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. Likewise, no one can say my sins are forgive and the blood of Jesus has set me free except by the Holy Spirit.

He Can Be Insulted

The Spirit Of The Lord

22: He Can Be Insulted

What, then, of those who despise the Son of God? who treat as a cheap thing the blood of God’s covenant which purified them from sin? who insult the Spirit of grace? Just think how much worse is the punishment they will deserve! Hebrews 10:29

How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace (Hebrews 10:29 ESV)

The Holy Spirit can be insulted. If we look at this statement deeply and critically, we will realize that to insult Him is to insult the Lord and God because He is both Lord and God.

Now, “the Lord” in this passage is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17

Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.” Acts 5:3-4

Can a man insult God and get away with it? No. It is therefore great folly for us to think that we are free to insult God and God will look the other way and pretend He does not see or care. God is not weak regardless of how we see Him. He is smarter than us and will outsmart us any day any time. When men treat God like they can fool Him or mock Him, He knows and He will strike like a thief in the night when they least expect it. He catches the wise in their craftiness.

Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!” Revelations 16:15

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.1 Thessalonians 5:2

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness 1 Corinthians 3:19

Anytime we reject and resist His word, we insult Him. When we contradict and pervert nature and the word of God, we insult Him because we have disprupted the divine order of the great King. When we reject the word of God and His commands we destroy, even when we do not realize that we are destroying.

So we insult God and all His good works and creation and God has a right to be angry because we hurt one another and creation. We cannot hurt God directly but we can hurt Him by hurting His creatures that He loves deeply. So when you strike your fellow man you strike Him.

Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” Matthew 25:41-46

The biggest Insult is rejecting the good news. By rejecting the good news we look down on Jesus and His precious blood that redeemed us. We scorn the word of God and reject grace and life. By rejecting life and grace, we hurt God because He loves us and does not want anyone to be lost.

When we reject life, we throw Him into deep mourning and pain because He won’t be able to have fellowship with us and we will eventually get separated from Him for all of eternity. This is a deep pain, hurt, wound, affliction and grief to God that we will never be able to understand.

Our breaths come from Him so it’s like a part of Him “dies” or is missing. He created us for us to eventually unite with Him in heaven, not for us to be lost. However, we have a freewill and He will not force Himself on us. God does not want to loose anyone, so we insult Him by rejecting life but we also Hurt Him.

He is the author of knowledge and wisdom and has given intelligence, wisdom and knowledge to men in varying degrees regardless of their religion or non religion. When we start arguing with Him and behaving like we know more than Him – the creator, we are being very disrespectful and insulting towards Him. He has made everything in perfect order and for a purpose in line with His omniscient wisdom. Therefore, when we contradict Him and look down on His words and thoughts, we have insulted Him. By insulting Him, we outrage Him and make Him angry.

May we realize that the Holy Spirit has feelings and determine to always please Him rather than insult and grieve Him. May we love Him the way He loves us.

By Grace We Win Favour

The Grace Of God

1: By grace we win favor

By God’s grace I have won the favor of the emperor, of his counselors, and of all his powerful officials; the Lord my God has given me courage, and I have been able to persuade many of the heads of the clans of Israel to return with me.” Ezra 7:28

The grand manifestation of grace was at the cross when Christ died in our place. By His death, God gave us grace and favor. God has always been a God of grace and He showed grace even in the Old Testament.

By God’s grace, Ezra won the favor of the emperor, his counselors and all his powerful officials. Amazing words from the Holy Scriptures. Grace is very powerful, vital and essential. A man without grace is a dead man – a living dead. All nature rebels against a man that is not enjoying the grace of God. Everything we get and experience in life is by the grace of God. Even what unbelievers, atheists and pagans have is by the grace of God.

The only difference is that they obtain their own favor through disobedience of worshiping idols who drink human blood in order to bless. Some do not directly worship idols as a conscious engagement, but because the foundations of the earth are full of the haunts of cruelty.

Human priests offer human blood in various symbolic forms, repeatedly, on behalf of sinners and for the sins of whole world. They offer sacrifices to sustain the world and to protect and bless even the ones who are not aware, including those who have no religion and those who constantly speak profanities against God.

They speak profanities because they are unconsciously drinking human blood and are sustained by the evil works of human priests. These are done in the secret and open places. The grand deception is that a lot of men do not know that it is human blood that sustains them. They are proud and believe that they do not need God, but unknown to them, blood and evil is sustaining them.

However their spirits know, but unfortunately the conscious mind does not know a lot of what the spirit of man knows. That is why men exhibit hatred for God and the blood of Jesus. The hatred is from their spirits that have been swallowed up by darkness and human blood.

They truly need prayers and help because they do not know what they are doing. They are in shackles controlled by the god of this world and are subjected to his will. It is the spirit of man that must repent because it is the spirit of man that enjoys evil even when the conscious mind hates evil.

And that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:26

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4

This the sin that God hates so much and the sin that leads unbelievers to hell no matter how good the unbeliever is. As long as he partakes of human blood consciously or unconsciously, he will go to hell. That he why the good news of deliverance from idol worship and human blood drinking is being preached so that they may accept the blood of Jesus and be saved.

You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell. Acts 15:29

Men offer sacrifice for reparation and cleansing to avert and appease divine judgement. Satan, the destroyer and avenger is the one who carries out divine judgement and vengeance, so they bribe him with sacrifices and claim they are sacrificing to God. God does not have that type of time and hates bribes. He does not engage in trade by batter.

God has clearly said He does not want and is not pleased with burnt offerings and sacrifices to take away sin and would rather have obedience. We must obey and subject ourselves to the gospel and good news -the blood of Jesus has set us free, period. No more sacrifices and all sacrifices must stop.

So when these have been forgiven, an offering to take away sins is no longer needed. Hebrews 10:18

You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. Psalm 51:16

What makes you think I want all your sacrifices?” says the LORD. “I am sick of your burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fattened cattle. I get no pleasure from the blood of bulls and lambs and goats. Isiah 1:11

Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired,

but a body have you prepared for me;

in burnt offerings and sin offerings

you have taken no pleasure.

Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,

as it is written of me in the scroll of the book. ’” (Hebrews 10:5 – 10:7 ESV)

God has consistently said he does not want sacrifices, yet stubborn humans persist in offering sacrifice to “God”. By doing this they offer sacrifice to death and disobedience and claim it is God that they are offering the sacrifice to. God does not need anything from man including human blood to bless man because He is the author and giver of life and blood but Satan and death need human blood from man to bless man. Let those who want to hear, hear the truth.

No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. 1 Corinthians 10:20

So then, about eating the food offered to idols: we know that an idol stands for something that does not really exist; we know that there is only the one God. 5 Even if there are so-called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, and even though there are many of these “gods” and “lords,” 6 yet there is for us only one God, the Father, who is the Creator of all things and for whom we live; and there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created and through whom we live. 1 Corinthians 8:4-6

Blood sacrifice is an ancient practice as old as mankind itself but God hates it. God hates sacrifice because to sacrifice is to destroy. Sacrifice is synonymous to death. They prefer sacrifice to obedience. They reject and refuse the gospel and would rather offer sacrifice to demons than embrace the blood of Jesus and the gospel or good news. God is the only law giver and judge and He alone can save and destroy. Satan can not judge so all power belongs to God.

God is the only lawgiver and judge. He alone can save and destroy. James 4:12

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father (Matthew 10:28 – 10:29 ESV)

All man needs is to realize that all power belongs to God and nothing can happen on earth without God’s permission. This realization should lead to worship and obedience towards God and rejection of Satan worship.

Worship of death and Satan is very fraudulent and destructive but majority of mankind glory in it because it is easy and encourages self dependence, man dependence and man worship. In Satan and man worship, death and human priests are worshiped, glorified and exalted. Human priests become father and Lord and they control demons and shed human blood in order to bless their worshippers and the beneficiaries of their fraud and destruction.

People offer sacrifice because they believe they have not been forgiven or cannot be forgiven and suffer from guilty conscience but in Christ, the natural guilty conscience is washed away.

If the people worshiping God had really been purified from their sins, they would not feel guilty of sin any more, and all sacrifices would stop. Hebrews 10:2

So let us come near to God with a sincere heart and a sure faith, with hearts that have been purified from a guilty conscience and with bodies washed with clean water. Hebrews 10:22

Beware of any place of worship that offers sacrifice in any form whatsoever, even if the sacrifice looks harmless. Even if that sacrifice is called Jesus Christ, do not be deceived. Christ is King and Lord of all and cannot be sacrificed or offered over and over again. He is on His throne.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Revelation 22:1

Christ is the source of life and grace and man can not offer life and grace to God. That is a totally flawed logic and an abomination. Catholics and other sacrificers beware!

Everyone who is not enjoying the blood, Spirit, glory and life of Jesus therefore enjoys and partakes of human blood, life, glory and spirit buried in different alters, regardless of conscious knowledge.

These are hidden sins. They do not need to be aware that they are partaking of blood but the spiritual reality is that they are. God gives all blessings and grace to humans but permits them to get it by their own disobedient ways. They prefer it that way because idol worship is an easy way to blessings, while the way of Christ is a hard narrow way. Anyone who rejects the blood of Jesus is indirectly accepting human blood as an alternative. It is only human blood that takes away sins, that is why Jesus had to come as human to be sacrificed.

The blood of animals – goats and bulls cannot take away sins. It is symbolical of human blood. The animal sacrifices in the Old Testament by the Israelites was symbolical of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and human.

This is a symbol which points to the present time. It means that the offerings and animal sacrifices presented to God cannot make the worshiper’s heart perfect. Hebrews 9:9

All other sacrifices by non Israelites symbolized human blood that is why God constantly commanded the Israelites to kill their priests. Men use human blood to avert temporal physical punishments due to sin but the eternal punishments and consequences for sins remain. Human blood leads to hell and locks the door of heaven to false worshippers.

Indeed, according to the Law almost everything is purified by blood, and sins are forgiven only if blood is poured out. Hebrews 9:22 Good News Translation

Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins (Hebrews 9:22 ESV)

It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Hebrews 10:4

It is only God that gives grace and true favor comes by His grace. When God’s grace is poured on you, powerful important people will love you and bless you. You will find favor in their eyes. We must keep in mind that Ezra had a thorough knowledge of the law. He was devoted to the law and pleased God greatly.

Ezra was a scholar with a thorough knowledge of the Law which the Lord, the God of Israel, had given to Moses. Because Ezra had the blessing of the Lord his God, the emperor gave him everything he asked for. Ezra 7:6-7

As we walk in God and follow Him in complete obedience to His ways, plan and will, He will make very important and powerful people find favor in us. Your boss will be pleased with you instead of being constantly irritated with you. By God’s grace, we will win the favor of great Kings and also rule as spiritual kings on earth.

He Makes Us Remember

The Spirit Of The Lord

21: He makes us remember

The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you. John 14:26

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26 NIV

The Holy Spirit makes us remember the word of God. The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to forget the word of God. When we forget the word of God, we forget the source of life and we fall into mistakes and sins. We also loose faith, love, and hope. It is the word of God that makes us grow into mature spiritual beings. The word of God, is food, air and life to our souls and the glory of God is food, air and life to the human spirit. We must know the word before the glory of God. We must know and practice His ways before tasting His essence, blood and Spirit.

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. John 15:3 NIV

You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. John 15:3 NLT

It is good to keep the word of God in our memory and retain it. When we do that, we become very conscious of right and wrong as decreed by the word of God and we will not be tempted to follow the crowd of the world in their own analysis and proclamations of what is right and wrong. We reject the world view of the world.

Remembering the word of God also protects us from false doctrines and guards us from the yeast of the Sadducees and Pharisees – false pastors, preachers, miracle workers, teachers and prophets. We easily discern and differentiate storytellers, forgers, magicians and liars from true apostles and ministers like the Berean Jews.

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:11

Be careful,” Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Matthew 16:6

Jesus and Paul retained and kept the word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit that was with them, that was why they did not fall. Even when Paul fell, He quickly corrected himself because the Holy Spirit reminded Him of the word of God that said you should not insult your superiors. The Holy Spirit was with him to the extent that he sometimes said, “I not the Holy Spirit.”

He was so filled and in tune with the Holy Spirit that he had to differentiate his personal thoughts and opinions from the revelations, instructions and teachings given to him by the Holy Spirit.

Then Paul said to him, “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!” Those who were standing near Paul said, “How dare you insult God’s high priest!” Paul replied, “Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written: ‘Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.’ Acts 23: 3-5

Jesus was full of grace, truth and wisdom. That means that the Holy Spirit was constantly in Him, reminding Him of relevant laws and scriptures. He constantly studied the word of God and He was reminded. If you do not study the word of God and keep looking into the perfect law of freedom, you will forget.

It means you are not partnering with the Holy Spirit, the author of the word of God and you prefer to forget. When you reject the word of God and refuse to study it, you are rejecting the Holy Spirit because He is the Spirit of The Word Of God, truth, revelation and wisdom.

You stiff-necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit! Acts 7:51

He not only makes us remember the word of God, He also gives us the ability to perform, practice and walk in the word of God.

So we can see that the Holy Spirit and the word of God are inseparable and rejecting one is rejecting the other. The thoughts and word of the Holy Spirit is the word of God. That is why Jesus was born of the Spirit because He is the word of God embodied. He is the teaching, word, though, way, will, message and revelation of God made manifest.

You must know the word and have fellowship with the word to be reminded. We need to keep looking at the perfect law of liberty. You must be thought in order to remember. So let us listen to what Jesus is saying in the Scriptures so that the Holy Spirit can remind us of the teachings we have forgotten when we need them and enable us to retain His words.

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it–not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it–they will be blessed in what they do. James 1:25

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26

So the Holy Spirit is the one who reminds us of His thoughts, words, laws, will, and ways. Glory to God! May we give Him the chance to constantly remind us of His word and bring it to remembrance when needed by sitting at His Feet and listening to His word like Mary. May we always study our Bible.
