Ten Ways To Defeat Stubborn And Persistent Problems

Ten Ways To defeat Giants

Giants are stubborn and persistent problems that have the potential to overwhelm you

  1. Do not see that thing as a giant. See that problem as little before God. Do not entertain any form of evil report that magnifies that problem

Numbers 13:30-33

Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” 32And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33There we saw the [h]giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like[i] grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

  • Do not compare your problem to yourself and self power. Compare your problem to God and His power.
  • See the greatness of God, and the littleness of your problem
  • Stop imagining yourself as very weak and inferior to anything that overwhelms you.  The people who brought the evil report said, “and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.” How did they enter the minds of those people to know what they were thinking? Stop entertaining fear and stop spreading fear. Stop partnering with fear. Fear is not a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
  • Be anxious for nothing. Do not pray with worry, fear and anxiety. Pray with faith, boldness and calmness.

Hebrews 4:16

Therefore, we should come with boldness to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.

  • Wait for God’s timing. Most of the time, the answer does not come immediately. Be patient and persist because patience is an attribute of faith. Daniel kept praying
  • Thank God in advance. Jesus said, “father I thank you because you always hear me.” Believe that God will perform His word and manifest His covenant of mercy
  • Keep away from sin. Stop romancing sin. Sin hinders prayers. Keep away from other obstacles to answered prayers
  • Pray without ceasing
  • Put on the Complete armour of God.

Let The Holy Spirit Lead You

The Holy Spirit Leads

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Romans 8:14

Psalm 143:10
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

Proverbs 8:20
I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

The Holy spirit will always lead you to do good, obey God and live in the perfect will of God. That is why He was sent by the father. He was sent to lead us into all the truth. All the truth reveals the perfect will of God.

The Holy Spirit leads those that are sons of God.

So, who are those that are not led?

Those Who Are Not Led

Jude 1:19

These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

Those that follow the flesh, and their human nature are those that are not led

The Bible clearly tells us to be led by the Holy Spirit. This means we should be constantly led by Him and let Him guide and direct our thoughts, paths and ways. It is a commandment. You do not have a choice. If you are not led by the Spirit, you will go outside God’s will and judgement will follow. If you want to live a joyful, peaceful victorious life, follow the Holy Spirit. Let Him guide, control, direct, lead and own you. Let Him be your boss and Lord.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Romans 8:14
Galatians 5:18
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

To be led means that He is our Lord indeed, not just in words. He rules, controls and directs our thoughts, paths, ways, actions and life. This means we take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:5

To be led by the Holy spirit means that we become totally submissive to the Spirit’s voice and the written word. It means that we stop letting our human nature or flesh lead us.

Romans 8:5,9
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit…

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. Romans 8:5

The human nature is a death nature, because judgement of death was decreed after the fall of man, but glory to God, Jesus saved us from the human nature so that we can live supernatural lives above sin.

Romans 8:5,9
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit…

However, we need to cooperate with God’s grace by the Holy Spirit and not allow the world and the flesh and human emotions dictate for us and tell us how to live. We should reject every thought, idea or philosophy that contradicts and opposes the word of God.

Jude 1:19

These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

Jude 1:9, talks of those who divide and follow natural instincts rather than the Spirit. So, you see that following the natural thoughts, instincts and ideas of our human nature is what fights God.

It is man that fights God. The Devil does not force us to sin. Man, sins, because man loves sin. Man loves the benefits and pleasures that are attached to sin. The devil is not the one that enjoys the benefits of sin.

The culprit and law breaker is the one that enjoys the stolen wealth and other benefits and pleasures of sin. The Devil is simply the thief that catches thieves and the liar that catches liar.

Jesus said the devil had nothing in Him. Meaning that it is possible for you to live in such a way that the devil will have nothing in you.

You can only achieve this when you live in the whole counsel of the word of God. The word of God comprises of the written word and the direction of the Holy spirit.

The Holy Spirit leads you when you obey the written word and the voice of the Spirit and constantly make decisions based of the Word and the voice of the Spirit. When you constantly know the mind of the Spirit and walk in it, it means that you are walking in the Spirit. When Spirit leads you, you are walking in the Spirit.

Let the Holy Spirit lead you always.

God Does Not Live In Bottles Of Water, Oil and Handkerchiefs

snow capped trees

The presence of God does not live in man made objects like bottled oil water and handkerchiefs.

The only temple that the presence of God comes upon is the human spirit.

However the glory of God does not come upon humans permanently. It comes and goes and must be renewed daily in constant fellowship. His mercies are new everyday.

Look at Jesus and Paul they never bottled the Glory of God in a bottle of oil or water or salt or handkerchief, they lived lives of constant fellowship and dependence on God. Jesus waited upon the Lord and renewed the anointing daily.

On the other hand, demons can dwell in bottles of oil and water, salt and other man made objects.

The anointing does not rest permanently on an object, if that were the case, the clothes of Jesus would have replaced Jesus. His clothes would have been taken to all the sick people in Bethany and Galilee.

The handkerchief of Paul would have also replaced God and would have been used permanently until they decay.

Also when Paul was tormented by messenger of Satan and Timothy was sick with stomach trouble, Paul would have just brought out his used handkerchiefs and healed himself and not seek God’s face, and in the case of Timothy, Paul would have just sent Timothy his used handkerchiefs.

But nothing like that happened. Paul did not do that, because the power of God dissipates.

When his handkerchiefs were sent to the sick, it was for the moment. Those handkerchiefs were not used forever, permanently as idols.

The handkerchiefs did not replace God and seeking God’s face daily. No. Paul however kept renewing his anointing day by day.

The Bible says lay hands on them, anoint them with oil and the prayer of faith will heal the sick. The oil is merely symbolic. It has no power. Only God has power and it is the prayer of faith that pulls down the glory of God and heals the sick and not the oil.

Power belongs to God and mercy too. God will not share Hos glory with anything and anyone. Never attribute power or any of God’s eternal attributes to a man, object or created things. That is the definition of idol worship.

Flee idolatry witchcraft, occultism and magic. God’s judgement is coming upon all those who pervert the scriptures to worship man made objects, idols and demons. God loves you so keep away from idols. Judge yourself so that you will not be judged. Judgement begins in the house of God and anyone that bears the name of Christ must depart from sin.

May great grace be upon you.

Constantly being filled with the Holy Spirit and fire will keep us in victory

The key word here is constantly

This means daily

Gods mercies are new everyday

If you remain in the presence of God and are filled today and tomorrow, and the day after you stop, the infilling will reduce and the enemy can get an upper hand and attack you

The only time that the enemy will leave you alone is when you are constantly filled with the Holy Spirit

Jesus was constantly filled and wants us to be constantly filled

That is why you sometimes see someone that is filled with the Holy Spirit or looks as if the person is filled and that person is being attacked. The reason is that the person sometimes get filled and is sometimes not filled. The person will think that he or she is filled yet the infilling has reduced

The glory can reduce and you won’t know it

So that is why I want to emphasize this aspect of constantly being filled with the Holy Spirit

That is God’s will for you. To be constantly filled not just being filled sometimes

Some Things that will make you not to be constantly filled

1. No desire to be filled. Not asking

2. Evil spirit —. The Holy Spirit spoke this into my mind as I was writing this down

3. Spending long time Friends with dirty aura

4. Not waiting upon the Lord

5. Active sinful life

6. Not praying right – no thanksgiving and praise, not reading your Bible.

7. Praying like a pagan. Using water, salt and oil, handkerchiefs mantles to take the place of the Holy spirt. That is idolatry and magic. If you are doing this you already have idols and will not desire the real and reality that is Christ. You already manufactured your own power and Christ

8. Judgement- for example if you stop doing what God told you to do. God told me to preach the gospel and especially teach people how to be filed with the Holy Spirt. Anytime I deviate reduce and not forced, the enemy gets an upper hand over me and I will feel the judgement of God until I judge myself and repent. If I stop preaching the gospel I will open the door to attack.

Paul said woe to me if I don’t preach the gospel. It is not a curse on himself but the telling himself the truth
