Discipline Yourself And Pray!
Hello, welcome to another message.
Today, I’m going to be talking about discipline and why you should make sure that you remain disciplined in everything that you do. Discipline is important in every area of life. Whether it is spiritual growth, physical health, finances, relationships, work, projects, or personal development, discipline is necessary if you want to experience true success.
If you want emotional success, financial success, physical success, or spiritual success, you must master the art of discipline.
Today, we are focusing especially on spiritual discipline.
The Lord once spoke to me about discipline and said:
“Discipline means that you don’t feel like it, but you still do it.”
That is the true meaning of discipline. You may not feel like praying, reading your Bible, worshipping, fasting, or spending time with God, but you still do it because you understand the importance and the result that comes from obedience and consistency.
Jesus Himself lived a disciplined life. Everything He did was intentional, purposeful, and obedient to the will of the Father. He was not controlled by emotions, laziness, distractions, or feelings. He did what He needed to do in order to fulfill His purpose.
In the same way, believers must do what is necessary to become who God has called them to be.
If you want spiritual victory and spiritual success, discipline must become part of your lifestyle.
One major area where discipline is needed is in the management of time. Learn to remove low-value activities from your life. Many distractions steal time, energy, focus, peace, and spiritual growth.
A person who wants to grow spiritually must learn how to manage time wisely and prioritize the presence of God.
When you pray, pray with focus and sincerity. Learn how to fellowship with God deeply and intentionally. Spiritual success is not about appearance or performance; it is about results.
True spiritual results include:
Being constantly filled with the Holy Spirit
Walking in the presence and glory of God
Manifesting the fruits of the Spirit
Operating in wisdom, discernment, and spiritual understanding
Hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit clearly
Walking in divine direction and guidance
Living in obedience and fellowship with God
Jesus constantly walked in the fullness and power of the Holy Spirit. That is the model believers should desire.
No matter what achievements a person has in life, if they are not walking in fellowship with God and experiencing His presence daily, then they have not yet understood true spiritual success.
That is why spiritual discipline matters.
Learn how to discipline yourself to spend time consistently in God’s presence. Spend time with the Word of God. Spend time in prayer, worship, thanksgiving, meditation, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
The Lord once spoke to me and said:
“I should be your number one date.”
At first, I did not fully understand what He meant, but then He explained further that I must constantly spend time with Him.
Jesus is the Word of God. Spending time in the Word is spending time with Him. When believers meditate on Scripture, worship God, and seek Him sincerely, fellowship deepens and spiritual understanding grows.
As you spend time with God, He begins to refine your heart, renew your mind, strengthen your spirit, and transform your life.
Spiritual growth requires consistency and discipline. It does not come through constant distractions, endless entertainment, or spiritual laziness. It comes through intentional fellowship with God.
As believers spend time praising God, thanking Him, rejoicing in Him, meditating on His Word, and walking in obedience, the Holy Spirit fills them with strength, peace, wisdom, and spiritual understanding.
The Bible says:
“Rejoice in the Lord always.”
Joy is important in the presence of God. Gratitude, praise, thanksgiving, and worship strengthen the believer spiritually.
Believers should also learn to pray specifically and present their requests before God. Jesus Christ is our High Priest, and God invites His children to ask, seek, and trust Him.
Deliverance, growth, maturity, and spiritual victory all require discipline.
Success is not accidental. Spiritual strength is not accidental. Fellowship with God requires intentionality, consistency, and obedience.
When believers live disciplined lives centered around God’s presence, they become spiritually strong, stable, victorious, and fulfilled.
God teaches His children, strengthens them, and equips them for every good work.
May the Lord help you to grow in discipline, wisdom, and consistency.
May He teach you how to spend time in His presence faithfully.
May the Holy Spirit strengthen you to walk in obedience, joy, prayer, worship, and spiritual maturity.
May your life be filled with the presence, peace, wisdom, and glory of God.

Power is God’s will for you. May the presence of God follow you everywhere you go, in Jesus name. May goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life.
The goodness and mercy of God is His glory, grace, fire and presence.
When God is with you no power can defeat you.
Pray! Pray!
Seek God’s face and presence everyday. Pay the price in constant fellowship with God, prayer, bible reading and meditation, praise, worship and thanksgiving.
God’s word and presence will give you life and glory. That is God’s will for you. Power is God’s will for you but you must fight in prayer and never ever give up.
Luke 18:1,
Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.
May God teach your hands to fight and make war until you become a fire carrier that no witch or demon can withstand, in Jesus name, amen.
The devil fears a believer who knows the Word, understands the power they have in Christ, refuses to surrender to fear, and keeps standing even when life becomes difficult.
May the Lord give you the courage and strength to cast out the devil in Jesus name, Amen.
