Hello, welcome to another message titled “Wait Upon the Lord for Your Needs.”
Just some days ago, the Lord spoke to me and said:
“Wait upon the Lord to receive what you need from Him.”
I’m going to be reading Hebrews 7:26:
“Jesus then is the high priest that meets our needs. He is holy; He has no fault or sin in Him. He has been set apart from sinners and raised above the heavens.” — Hebrews 7:26
The key thing we see here is that Jesus is the High Priest who meets our needs.
We all have needs, and God knows that we have needs. God wants to meet your needs, but you must recognize that you need to present those needs to Him.
If people do not rely on God for their needs, they may begin to seek solutions through the wrong paths. Some eventually wander into disobedience, compromise, or even idol worship because they stopped trusting God. But God wants you to rely on Him completely.
When you walk with God, He will meet your needs.
God Supplies All Your Needs
Philippians 4:19 says:
“But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Again, we see that God wants to meet your needs.
Jesus is the One who satisfies. Once you have Jesus, you have everything that truly matters. The presence of God is the greatest need in your life because the glory of God attracts every other blessing.
The Lord has emphasized to me many times that constantly being filled with the Holy Spirit and carrying the fire of God is how your needs are continually met.
So understand your priorities correctly.
Your Greatest Need Is God’s Presence
There are many needs in life, but your highest need is:
• The presence of God
• The glory of God
• The fire of God
• The voice of God
• A relationship with Jesus Christ
Jesus is wisdom, life, glory, truth, and resurrection. He is everything good.
When you are constantly filled with the Holy Spirit, you begin to radiate the glory of Christ, and that glory attracts favor, provision, and blessings into your life.
Walking in the Spirit Brings Victory
If you are walking in alignment with the Word of God and being led by the Holy Spirit, you will constantly experience the glory of God.
That is where victory is found.
Jesus constantly walked in the glory of God. Paul also walked in the glory of God.
Without the fullness of the Holy Spirit, you will not experience complete joy and peace because the fruits of the Spirit operate in degrees.
Remember the parable of the sower:
• 30-fold
• 60-fold
• 100-fold
Strive for the 100-fold life.
The fullness of the Holy Spirit produces fullness of joy, peace, patience, and spiritual victory.
Seek God First
God is not saying He does not want to bless you. What He is saying is:
“Seek Him first.”
Jesus said:
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
The kingdom of God is the presence of God within you.
When you focus on God instead of obsessing over material things, you will begin to walk in peace and patience.
Even if certain physical blessings have not yet manifested, the Holy Spirit will help you remain joyful, hopeful, and confident in God’s timing.
Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
Do not compare your timeline to someone else’s timeline.
Someone may marry at 25 while another marries later in life. Someone may become successful earlier than another person.
But your focus should not be comparison.
Your focus should be the perfect will of God for your life.
Some people may be living in God’s permissive will rather than His perfect will. So do not envy people or compare your journey to theirs.
When your blessings come in God’s perfect timing, they will bring peace and fulfillment.
Patience Is a Fruit of the Spirit
Patience is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
When you are filled with the Holy Spirit:
• You become peaceful
• You become joyful
• You stop panicking
• You stop running after false solutions
• You stop acting out of fear
Faith gives you confidence that God will fulfill His promises in His own time.
The Holy Spirit Helps You
The Holy Spirit is our Helper.
He helps us:
• Pray correctly
• Hear God’s voice
• Walk in wisdom
• Stay aligned with God’s will
• Receive direction
The Lord once said to me:
“People do not go about Me the right way.”
Many people pray without being led by the Holy Spirit.
But when the Holy Spirit guides your prayer life, He will direct you step by step:
• When to praise
• When to worship
• When to give thanks
• When to read Scripture
• When to pray petitions
• When to confess the Word of God
That is why hearing the voice of God is so important.
Worldliness Blocks Spiritual Sensitivity
The Holy Spirit also said to me:
“Worldliness blocks your ears from hearing God.”
Worldliness includes:
• Envy
• Jealousy
• Comparison
• Pride
• Obsession with status
• Constant competition with others
Success is not becoming like someone else.
True success is walking in alignment with the destiny God created for you.
Be original. Walk in the perfect will of God. Be content in God while trusting Him for your future.
Discipline Is Necessary
The Lord also told me:
“Being happy in the Spirit takes discipline.”
Then later He explained:
“Discipline means you don’t feel like it, but you do it anyway.”
There are times when you may not feel like praying or waiting upon the Lord, but you still do it because you love God and desire His presence.
As you consistently spend time with God:
• You become filled with the Holy Spirit
• You hear God more clearly
• You experience His presence daily
• Your spiritual life becomes stronger
Being filled with the Holy Spirit is meant to be a daily experience.
God Knows Your Needs
Sometimes while I am in the presence of God, I simply think about a need, and the Lord answers immediately.
Why?
Because His presence is already there.
When you dwell in God’s presence continually, many things become easier because God Himself takes control of your life.
And for the things that are not yet time to manifest, God will give you peace and patience while you wait.
Walk in Constant Victory
God wants you to walk in constant victory.
Jesus is the High Priest who meets all your needs, and God has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.
Stay filled with the Holy Spirit. Stay connected to God’s presence. Learn patience. Learn to trust God’s timing.
When you live this way:
• You become spiritually mature
• You become joyful
• You become peaceful
• You become spiritually strong
• You stop living like the world
Prayer
I pray that you will constantly walk in the Spirit.
May you desire to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit and experience the presence of God daily.
May you live in joy, peace, patience, and victory.
May the Lord help you approach His throne with faith and confidence to receive mercy and grace in time of need.
May you continually hunger for the living water of life.
May you be made complete through the blood of Jesus Christ.
May the love of God bless you and keep you.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Have a good day and remain blessed.
