Seek healthy love. Let go of unhealthy love.
Love becomes unhealthy when:
• it is no longer mutual
• respect is gone
• peace is constantly destroyed
• one person refuses to change harmful behavior
• the relationship produces continual pain and sorrow instead of growth
Holding on in such situations can keep a person emotionally trapped.
• Ecclesiastes 3:1, 6 — There is a time to keep and a time to let go.
• Amos 3:3 — Alignment is required to walk together.
Not every relationship is meant to continue forever.
Thank God for the lessons learned, and pray for grace and wisdom to find true godly love rooted in the Word of God and guided by the Holy Spirit’s leading and confirmation.
Proverbs 10:22
“The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”
The Holy Spirit teaches that believers should marry someone who is both a true brother and a best friend.
A true brother will not intentionally hurt you. If mistakes are made, they acknowledge them and seek to keep you safe and protected.
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
You can find true love. As you intentionally seek love, depend on the Holy Spirit to guide and help you. God is love, and He desires His children to experience true godly love. Since God is the source of love, ask in faith and you will receive.
May God plant true godly love in your life and wipe away every tear from past painful relationships, in Jesus name, amen.
