Most of the time, we struggle because we are not living in the perfect will of God. We also do not fully know or understand the perfect will of God. Jesus lived in the perfect will of God and He knew the perfect will of God for His life, that was why He said to Peter, ” get behind me satan.” He could not be distracted or deceived into living outside God’s perfect will.

What satan does is to deceive us into living outside God’s will, so that He can have an upper hand over us. We are the ones who will then give him a foothold in our lives.

Paul said we should be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves. Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God. The only way we can do this, is by knowing the perfect will of God for our lives.

That is why this inspired scriptural prayer should become our hearts desire. The more we seek the will of God, the more we will know it and the more we know the will of God the more we will please God, by obeying the will of God that we know. If we do not know the perfect will of God for our lives, we will be living partially outside God’s will and that will attract some level of judgement and trials into our lives. There is no protection outside God’s will and there is partial protection when we live partially in the will of God.

For us to be constantly victorious, we need to live constantly in the full counsel of the word of God. The word of God is the written word of God and God’s direction spoken to us by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the revealer of truth and mysteries. He reveals the plans and purposes of God for our lives and enables us to understand the written word of God.

So, to be victorious, we need the Holy Spirit and the word of God. May God lead you into His perfect will.
