15 Benefits of Constantly Waiting Upon The Lord And Seeking His Face

Wait Upon the Lord

Waiting upon the Lord and seeking God’s face is very important. Jesus constantly prayed and waited upon the Lord. Jesus said that without Him, we can do nothing and that man’s power is of no use at all. Constantly waiting upon the Lord is the way to grow in grace, and become all that God wants you to be in Christ Jesus.

Benefits Of Waiting Upon The Lord And Seeking His face

  1. You renew your strength
“But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” ~ Isaiah 40:31
  2. You will taste God’s goodness, love and mercy
Psalm 27:13-14 says, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. ~ Lamentations 3:25

  13. You will have greater understanding and deeper revelation of the word of God.

In 2 Timothy 2:7 Timothy says we should meditate and God will enable us to understand. “Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this,” and in Ephesians 1:17, Paul prayed for believers to have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. A combination of Bible study, meditation and prayer will bear the fruit of understanding. It is God that causes the plant or word to grow. “So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who causes the plant to grow.” 1 Corinthians 3:7

So, if you really desire to constantly experience God’s glory, love, goodness and mercy set aside time to wait upon the Lord. The more you wait for God and seek His face, the more grace, glory and understanding that you will have.
