A Spouse For Everyone

The Lord revealed this to me,

A lot of people get divorced because they marry the wrong people. If people marry those that God designed for them, then the marriage stays. God has a husband and a wife for everyone.

In this revelation, the Lord spoke to me and told me that God has a husband and a wife for everyone. He told me that people get divorced because they marry the wrong people. If people marry God’s choice for them, the marriage will stay.

Look at the divorce rate among Christians, do you think that is God’s will? If we marry someone that we had no business marrying in the first place, we cannot blame God for it and it is not God’s fault. However, God is loving and merciful and He will use everything for our own good.

It does not matter if you are a Catholic priest or if you are gay or lesbian, or married to a demon idol locked up in an evil covenant. The blood of Jesus has set us free and God’s power is greater than every lying bondage. God has a God ordained mate for you that is the opposite sex because you are incomplete without your partner. With that parter, you can fulfill your God given destinies that are interwoven intricately together.

May great grace be upon us in Jesus name.

Such wise words, my friend. Patience is the key and I pray that God will increase and perfect patience in us. Blessings and peace to you always ❤️🙏

I feel the same way (that many are divorcing because they didn’t marry God’s choice). But since you say God has a spouse for everyone, are you saying you don’t believe in, “the gift of singleness” that some say they are called to?

    • laurabon says:

Thank you so much, for the meaningful contribution. If someone has the gift of singleness, then the person’s spouse is the Lord. It is accompanied by unusual and extraordinary grace.

However, those who cannot control their desires, should get married. Paul Himself said it and he had the gift of singleness. It is better to marry than burn with passion. God does not torture people and He hates loneliness. If people are led to be single, they must make sure it is of God the same way we must make sure that our spouses are God’s choice. If they choose the gift of singleness for themselves without being led by they Holy Spirit, they will miss out on God’s best and His plan for their lives and their destinies will be inadvertently affected because most people accomplish their destinies with their God ordained spouse.

Blessing and grace to you always 💕🙏

Hi Laura, thanks as always for your posts. This one made me think of one area the Lord is using to increase my faith in Him. In particular, I divorced my wife in 2000 for “non-biblical” reasons before “knowing” the Lord. I would like to remarry some day, but I don’t know if I can due to my divorce. John Piper’s paper, https://www.desiringgod.org/articles/divorce-and-remarriage-a-position-paper, has me thinking deeply on this and continuing to seek the Lord. Also, the Bible speaks of some people who remain single / “eunics,” not physically but in terms of relation. I wanted to mention this as background and consideration. God bless you sister!

Thank you so much for the response. If you are divorced you must realize this:

      1. God was not the one who gave you your ex-spouse or joined you to your ex-spouse
      2. Interesting, the non – biblical reasons was before you knew the Lord and God does not punish us for mistakes that we made before we knew Him. Those mistakes have been swallowed up by the blood of Jesus. He has set us free.
      3. God does not torture people and loneliness and unfulfilled passion are torture
4, Eunuchs do not have passion so they do not burn with passion
      5. The Lord told me that marriage is for companionship so even those who do not have strong passion can marry for companionship.

Beloved, the Holy Spirit must guide you and you must be led. A lot of people that God wanted to make happy with spouses have fallen into the error of eunuchs and gift of singleness.

The Apostles who had the gift of singleness in the New Testament manifested unusual fellowship and grace from the Lord. Ultimately, I believe that only an extremely few number of people have the gift of singleness and these are the ones that enjoy unusual fellowship and comfort from the Holy Spirit.

Let the Holy Spirit guide you, and you will not make mistake. The divorce issue should not be an obstacle to remarriage. God is a God who makes all things new and repairs past mistakes with comfort, love and peace.

Blessings to you always, my friend. ❤️🙏

Thank you very much Laura for your time and response. I don’t know if you would have time to read John Piper’s article I mentioned. It is thorough and I think enlightening on the topic of divorce and remarriage, and marriage in general. It is fairly long, but concise given its comprehensiveness. To me it seems to make a lot of sense and is based as far as I can see upon the whole counsel of the Bible. I’d appreciate any reflections you have after reading it.

Many thanks again for your time.

        God bless you,
        Tim.

I would give but one caveat to this, the same that Paul gives in 1 Corinthians 7, which is that some a ‘called’ to be and remain single by God’s grace. In verse 17 he writes, “Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches.” Later he expounds upon that rule in verses 27 and 28,  “Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be free. Are you free from a wife? Do not seek a wife. But if you do marry, you have not sinned, and if a betrothed woman marries, she has not sinned. Yet those who marry will have worldly troubles, and I would spare you that.” Blessings to you and yours always.

Thank you so much for the wonderful insight. Paul also advised that it is better to marry than burn with passion. We must consider this

      1. Passion was given to us by God for a purpose. Burning with unfulfilled passion is a form of torture
      2. Loneliness is a form of torture. It is not good for man or woman to be alone. We need companionship and covering. Love covers.
      3. Jesus, Paul and John were not married but had food that they ate that we know nothing about. That food supersedes every form of earthly comfort and consolation. They had unusual fellowship and companionship with the Holy Spirit because of their high callings. Their spouses was the Holy Spirit and they lived like angels ie supernatural lives.
      4. The same way that God’s stamp of approval needs to be on whom we marry, we must also have God’s stamp of approval to remain single. That is when God’s extraordinary grace accompanies that single life. And the Lord Himself becomes your spouse or partner. If we are not led by the Holy Spirit to remain single and we do it by the flesh, there will be no grace to live that life. Where there is no grace, there will be sorrow and no liberty.

      Blessings to you always 💕🙏

      • D.T. Osborn says:

Amen sister and I agree. It takes one specifically called and empowered by God to be remain single for His sake. Paul’s advice is for the exception and is not the overall rule. I was not called to serve in singleness and very few in history have been. The model for the majority was established by God at creation, husband and wife in complementary relationship for life.

        • laurabon says:

Your response is so well said and explained, my friend. Thank you so much for your insight and contribution to this topic. God bless you always. 💕🙏

I believe this to be true. I have given up on searching for my partner. I have had such horrible relationships. I am free of the drama and disappointment. I am living and living life. I can and will wait for the one god has for me.🙏

    • laurabon says:

Amen. It is wonderful that you are living life and not sad about it. I understand the disappointment, it can be heartbreaking. I have realized that marriage is spiritual and is by the grace of God. Where there is grace, there will be no need to even search. My friend was sleeping and a man passed and saw her sleeping in her hostel. He pretended he did not know the way and woke her up for directions. He later married her. They have been happily married for twenty six years now. I know that it won’t be like that for everyone.

If we continue in what God has called us to do and keep seeking His face and waiting upon Him for grace to be married. He will do it. God does not want us to be lonely – He really cares.

Continue waiting on God for the one He has for you – that is faith.

Grace and blessings to you always ❤️🙏

  6. Amen! What a wonderful revelation. That’s reason why he created the female for the male. He saw that it wasn’t good that man should be alone without a companion. 🙂 He’s such a loving, caring and merciful God! I love Him so much <3 Blessings & abundant grace to you.
