He was emotionally

And had no emotions

Left to give you

You expected Him

To love you

But He simply

Wasn’t capable

Of love

At that point in time

Do not be angry

Do not be bitter

A man can only give

What He has

A fiction

  3. carlos SP says:

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

  4. TOK says:

Laura, this is profound. If a lot of people understand this, perhaps the divorce rate would be lower. We cannot give what we don’t have! Thank God for Jesus. 💕

Thank you so much for the wise words. If only a lot of people understand this. We really cannot give what we do not have. When we are depleted of love, because of wounded and broken emotions, we end up only taking from out partners and draining them because at that point, we are only capable of receiving love, to fill the void in us, but we can’t give or love back.

It’s not his or her fault – there simply isn’t any love left to give.
May God heal the broken hearted.
