Brothers, pray for us. (1 Thessalonians 5:25 ESV)

Do we pray to God for our ministers? Do we pray for others in intercession and supplication? God expects us to pray for our ministers and pray for one another. Prayer is a powerful key in the Christian life. Jesus Himself was a man of prayer and I am sure He did not spend all His prayer time praying for Himself alone. He was not selfish. Our selfishness can actually follow us and precede us to our prayer lives.

This Scripture instructs, encourages and reminds us to pray for our ministers and others. May we not be selfish in our prayers lives in Jesus name.

The Lord helped me study about different prayers once. Intercession is important because we have to be our brothers/sisters keeper. It is an act of selfless love.

Supplications are a prayer for a need to be met. Again, an act of selfless love so that a brother or sister in Christ may have what they need to overcome.

    Great post!
